It’s one of the most intense anime that aired in 1986. OH! That’s pretty old. I know that you’re wondering that. Anyways, Fist of the North Star is a fantastic anime with great fighting scenes.
You should be pretty familiar with this anime because of the meme, “OMAE WA MOU SHINDEIRU”. That still cracks me up. So, yes this anime is pretty popular for this meme reference too! His name is Kenshiro and he’s known as the successor of an intense martial art called Hokuto Shinken. Main Characters
Kenshiro
Kenshiro is the main character of the anime “Fist of the North Star”. He’s literally a warrior who doesn’t back down easily. He’s the type of person who would do anything to get what he wants. Also, he gets frustrated easily when someone tries to belittle him. In fact, his martial arts abilities are second to none! You would definitely love this guy once you start watching the anime!
He’s a very sturdy and giant man, you would get scared of him when he looks at you. Kenshiro is strong-willed and simply doesn’t give up. He might also look like one of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure characters! Tell me it’s not only me who sees the resemblance! And imagine martial arts in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and bizarre adventures in Fist of the North Star. Yes, you might as well call me a genius or whatever. Anyways, we were talking about Kenshiro, he’s such a good-looking man, you will simply fall for him!
Bat
Bat is a young thief and is one of the fellows of Kenshiro. He thinks that he has enough strength to handle situations but he’s nothing without Kenshiro. Bat is always tip-toeing Kenshiro and follows him everywhere too. So, yes he’s that type of guy.
Lin
Lin is also one of the main characters in Fist of the North Star. And she’s also a fellow Kenshiro. She’s proven to be quite helpful during tough situations and has always been there for Kenshiro despite the fact that she was held hostage seldom. So, Kenshiro had to save her most of the time.
Fist of the North Star Filler Episodes
Episode 9 - Villains! Say Your Prayers Before You Die!
Bat, Lin, and Kenshiro leave Asis City and encounter a biker gang that was chasing a man and a woman. Kenshiro comes and the biker gang leaves instantly. Look at that fear! I want what Kenshiro has! However, they come back and demand the woman back. As a result, Mika leaves with them. His father comes and says that he won’t be able to live in this city until he gets his daughter back. Then, he takes her by force. The next morning, Kenshiro meets a boy who’s the brother of Mika and asks him to save his sister.
Madam Patra took Mika away and she finds out that Kenshiro is near her village. She arranges for some guys to get rid of him. Even the house in which Kenshiro is living is set on fire. Our warrior boy saves his mates from getting hurt. He even fights many men including the two guys who had Nanto Seiken also known as Bat Fist.
Episode 10 - Rekka Gyakuryuken! These Are Too Many Who Must Die!!
After the lake drains, Ken goes to a place that goes by the name “Mt. Ryujin”. Even though the villagers warned him about the monster living there, he didn’t stop. That’s when Kenshiro faces a ninja who attempted to knock him out. The ninja led him towards the castle, but after getting close to the corner, the place was set on fire. When Kenshiro explores the area, he finds out that there’s a castle.
Kenshiro then sees a picture of Yuria. A man with the name “DRAGON” appears and tells him about Yuria and Shin. They go to the capital city of Southern Cross. Dragon turns out to be a traitor and does his best to kill Kenshiro. Kenshiro is a warrior, he knows about the tactics of people so he knocks dragons out with this technique Rekka Gyakuryuken.
Episode 14 - A Miserable Era! The Good Die So Young!
Kenshiro along with some friends goes to a village where an ordinary doctor named Duran offers them his help. The doctor used to be a member of the bandits’ group. This group was sent to attack Kenshiro. The leader of the group blackmails Duran to kill Kenshiro under several conditions. But tables turn when Kenshiro kills Dante while Dante is using his South Star Hundred Slash Fist. This intense style enabled Dante to walk into the volcanic magma.
Episode 15 - Count to three! You're the one to die
After Kenshiro and his friends reach the city being controlled by a crazy priest known as Zaria, Zaria uses his weird hypnosis technique which turns the people of the village into Zombies! Zaria ends up kidnapping Lin which forces Kenshiro to make his way into the cathedral where she’s kept. Zaria tries to hypnotize our boy but Kenshiro destroys Zaria and frees the city from the hypnotizing spell.
Episode 16 - Try To Sing Villains! The Counting Rhyme of Hell!!
Kenshiro and his friends get trapped in the middle of a war between the two opposing gangs. One of them is known as Scorpions while the other one is known as Snakes. Joker is the main villain behind this set-up with a single goal which is none other than to kill Kenshiro. The fight starts and Kenshuri kills the gang members and uses such a technique that makes the two gangs embrace each other until they explode. WOOH! That’s pretty bombastic!
Episode 17 - A Man Lives To Fight! The Door to the Showdown Finally Opens!
Moving on, we see Shin gathering his whole army for a meeting. He declares that there’s going to be a war very soon against Kenshiro! Barcom, who’s the General of Shin’s Army, tells the men of the gangways and tactics to kill this warrior. On the other hand, Yuria talks to her maid and explains how she was Shin’s captive and the main reason behind his power constantly rising.
Episode 18 - Life or Death?! Beyond the Wasteland Lies The First Circle of Hell!!
Coming across a female motorcyclist, Kenshiro and his friends help her repair the motorcycle and they also get invited to her hometown. But it’s all in vain since Shin’s men find Kenshiro’s location and start to destroy the buildings. Kenshiro reveals and attacks them but his friends are held captive by Shin. Kenshiro keeps fighting and defeats the Speed Racer Group and also ends up destroying a tank with his strong kicks which resulted in killing Goras. On the other hand, Yuria doesn’t succeed at escaping with Saki’s help.
Episode 19 - Villains! Ready Your One-Way Tickets to Death!!
Kenshiro and his friends get trapped on a deserted island by the Airborne Blackbirds. These were led by Mahari and the Gold Wolf. In the Southern Cross, Saki’s brother named Temjina gets punished since he helped Yuria. However, he escapes after telling Kenshiro about his location. The Blackbirds along with Mahari continue attacking Kenshiro. While the Gold Wolf forces plan on harming Jina. They all stop everything for a three-hour lunch break, But at the very end, Kenshiro locates Southern Cross and Yuria.
Episode 20 - A Nightmarish All-Out Battle! My First Pack 100 Volts!
Kenshiro rushes towards the Southern Cross along with Jennifer and his fellows. They come across Commander Hidora and his army They manage to defeat them on their way. After Shin heard this news, he sent out the South Star cannon blast. Kenshiro became very furious and ended up attacking the commandeers, the train as well! Kenshiro with his endless power crashed the train into that battleship.
Episode 21 - The Evil Palace in Flames! Shin! Only One More Step To You Now!!
Everyone assumed that Kenshiro died. General Barcom guides the mutiny against Shin. In the desert, Joker challenges Kenshiro but since our boy is too powerful, he’s going to regret his decision 10/10. On the other side, Shin wins against Barcom and kills him. In such chaos, many gangs fight against one another.
Episode 38 - Crimson First of Lotus Mountain! A Tragic Woman Born Of The Times!
Uighur who’s known to be the Warden of Cassandra joins Ken-Oh’s martial arts and imprisons a guy with his family. Meanwhile, the group of Kenshiro is attacked by the Cassandra Assault Squad. Uighur comes in handy in such a situation and blackmails a girl named Bella. Bella is the successor of the “Ranzan Kurenaiken”. Kenshiro attacks and wins against Bella but he doesn’t kill her. Now, Bella asks Targel to battle against her. Target dies.
Episode 41 - The North Star’s 2000-year Tragedy! I Can Hear The First King’s Footsteps!!
This filler episode shows us that everyone’s waiting for Kenshiro to return. Bat and Lin are refreshing their past memories with Kenshiro and get a bit sentimental too. This episode gets us all weak!
Episode 79 - Rei of the South Star Waterflow!
As the story proceeds, Kenshiro reflects on his close friends’ lives and the ally Rei. He caught the bullet to save his one true love. Isn’t that sweet?
Episode 80 - Yuda of the South Star Crimson Crane Fist! His Beautiful Smile Calls For Tragedy!!
This episode is just like other filler episodes though this especially highlights Kenshiro’s recollection of memories in his battle against Yuda. He’s known as the man that tormented Rei’s dear ones until they gave up.
Episode 81 - Shu of the South White Heron Fist! The Heaven Only Bestows Cruel Destinies
This episode revolves around Kenshiro remembering Shu. Kenshiro indeed has huge respect for Shy since he’s very selfless.
Episode 82 - Holy Emperor Souther!! Your Deep Affection Consumes You in Love
Even in this filler, Kenshiro remembers Souther who’s the self-proclaimed Holy Emperor belonging to Nanto Seiken.
Episode 98 - The Capital of the South Star Trembles! The Two Brothers of the North Star Finally Arrive!!
While Kenshiro and Ken-Oh compete against each other in racing, Rihaku is seen telling his daughter about the Hokuto Shinken, the saddening deaths of Jagi and Toki, and the whole history of Kenshiro and Ken-Oh. On the other hand, Kenshiro and Ken-Oh are in an intense competition to reach the Nanto Capital. Who will be able to reach first? Curious? To find out, watch Episode 98 of Fist of the North Star!
Episode 105 - Protect the Merciful Mother of the South Star! Even if it’s the End of the Five Chariots!!
At the funeral of Fudo, Rihaku who’s known to survive alone excluding the other five Chariot members reflects on the things his comrades have done for him. On the other hand, Kenshiro is able to see again!
Episode 109 - Conclusion of the Final Chapter - Now Revealed!! The 2000 Year History of the North Star!!
In this episode, we get to see the summary of Kenshiro’s life. It starts from the day he first met Yuria to the final and latest battle against Raoh. Raoh says his goodbye to Kenshiro and regains consciousness. Kenshiro and Yuria leave and start staying together.
Episode 111 - When Will He Awaken?!
This episode revolves around Gale who’s also known as the Tentei enforcer. He searches for a town to find the remaining pieces of the Red Dragon. A very resistant movement opposes Tentei’s army. He finds Muhari and the father of Maru. However, a stranger defends the people of the town against Gele and it turns out he was Kenshiro!
