Yes, I know, this is probably no surprise to most of you, but keep in mind, some are trying to get into anime like this to this day.

Dragon Ball’s basic concept is based around the ever present question: Who is the strongest? Son Goku, a young orphan, who lived the first 12 years of his life among the mountains, training to become a martial artist, steps out into the greater world outside of his home. Through trial and error, he keeps on becoming stronger and stronger, until the day comes when he’s finally announced as the world’s best.

However, he soon faces the truth and secret to his incredible strength: He’s not a child of this planet. In fact, he is a Saiyajin, or Saiyan, member of a warrior race who are bred and raised to be warriors when they grow up. And of course, he’s not the only one. He finds an unlikely friend and ally in the form of another pure blood saiyan, Vegeta, and together they fight the mightiest of evil in the universe. Or so they thought.

However, as we enter Super, a new kind of challenge arises and the two mightiest men of the universe are faced with the ultimate challenge: The challenge to stay alive, have a future and not have their universe erased. But how will they face the fact that there are some universes where they wouldn’t be among the top 100 of the strongest? Can they rise up to the unfair challenge and save their home? This is what the story of this anime is all about.
