Dragon Ball GT Arcs

Goku Dragon Gt

Let me tell you one thing, the entirety of Dragon Ball GT are fillers. There are a total of 64 episodes, and all of them are FILLERS. You can skip this, but I don’t think you should do that because it’s still so fun to watch.

Aaaand because it’s entirely filler, I’ll tell you about its arcs so you can get a glimpse of its plot. By then, you might be able to decide whether to watch it or leave it. There are a total of 4 arcs, and I’ll tell you about each of them:

1. Black Star Dragon Ball Saga

Drago Ball GT

Okay, so this arc is so fun that you’ll enjoy watching it. We know Goku is so powerful, right? He’s always been so strong, even when he was a kid. But in this arc, Goku got turned into a kid and became a 12-year-old again.

It was all thanks to Emperor Pilaf. Emperor Pilaf summoned Ultimate Shenron by using Black Star Dragon Balls and asked Ultimate Shenron to turn Goku into a kid. It was a mistake and Emperor Pilaf didn’t want to do this.

Even Goku didn’t mind becoming a kid again. He said he loves being a kid. Later, kid Goku, Pan, and Trunks go on a mission to find the Black Star Dragon Balls. If they didn’t find the balls within the year, the whole earth would explode.

The journey is so adventurous, and there is someone who wants to destroy the Saiyan race, which will become a big problem for them. This arc is just incredible. It starts at episode 1 and ends at episode 16.

2. Baby Saga

Dragon Ball GT Baby Sinister

Baby, who is a Tuffle parasite, can control people’s bodies, even Saiyan’s bodies. It’s like he turns him into a Tuffle. Baby almost turned the whole Earth population into Tuffles. Later, Baby gained control over Vegeta’s body and defeated Goku easily.

In this arc, we can see Goku gaining a new form: Super Saiyan 4. After gaining this form, Goku defeated Baby, who was controlling Vegeta. This was not easy because Baby can combine his power with the power of a hostage whose body he is controlling.

This makes him so powerful, and he was controlling the Prince of all Saiyans, Vegeta. Vegeta himself is so powerful. However, there was someone who sacrificed himself for the betterment of Earth and his friends’ safety. That was Piccolo.

Earth was about to explode even though Baby was defeated. Vegeta suggested moving all the people of Earth to the Planet Plant. Because of Super Saiyan 4, Goku moved everyone to Planet Plant, but he ran out of energy when he came back.

Piccolo came and gave him the energy he needed. Goku went back, but Piccolo decided to stay so the Black Star Dragon Balls and Ultimate Shenron could be destroyed. Goku saw his dearest friend die in front of his own eyes as the Earth exploded.

Before dying, Piccolo tells Gohan that he is so proud of him. Gohan was not able to do anything but burst into tears. This arc is a rollercoaster of emotions with a whole lot of action. Don’t skip it. This arc starts at episode 17 and ends at episode 40.

3. Super Android 17 Saga

dRAGON bALL GTT

I don’t understand why people will ever skip Dragon Ball GT. This series is just so fantastic. It has a lot of action, powerful villains, a good plot, and everything is terrific in GT. Seriously, the one who’ll skip Dragon Ball GT will be the biggest fool.

Anyway, this is another wonderful arc. In this arc, we’ll see that Dr. Myuu and Dr. Gero formed an alliance to destroy and take their revenge on Goku. They both created an exact replica of Android 17, who was pure evil, and he was made in hell.

A portal opened, which connects hell to earth, and guess what? Some villains came out of the portal. This includes Android 19, Coller, Jeice, etc. Krillin was also killed by Android 17 while trying to gain control over Android 18.

Later, the authentic and replica Android 17 fused together and became SUPER ANDROID 17. Super Android 17 was just so strong. Super Android 17 wanted to kill Goku so he could avenge the Red Ribbon Army whom Goku defeated.

Goku’s attacks were futile against Super Android 17. However, he got an opening, or we could say, he got a chance and grabbed it. Android 18 attacked Super Android 17 to avenge Krillin. Super Android 17 got distracted, and Goku used Super Dragon Fist at that one moment.

But this was not enough to kill Super Android 17. That’s why Goku uses Kamehameha three times on the same spot where he used Super Dragon Fist. Goku defeated Android 17 and announced that he had avenged Krillin. Later, Goku comforted Android 18.

The fight was over, but Super Android 17 and the other villains who came out of the portal caused colossal damage. Everyone decided to use the Dragon Balls and summon Shenron so they could revive those who were killed by Android 17. This included Krillin as well.

However, Shenron didn’t come. Instead, someone else came who now will punish humanity for their wrong usage of the Dragon Balls. Ahhhh, this arc is terrific, with so much action and excellent plot twists. This arc starts at episode 41 and ends at episode 47.

4. Shadow Dragons Saga

Nlack smoke dragon

So, this is the last arc of Dragon Ball GT. Goku and the rest decided to summon Shenron so they could revive those who lost their lives during the Super Android 17 arc. But instead of Shenron, someone else came, and that was Black Smoke Dragon.

Black Smoke Dragon had no intention of granting Goku and his friend’s wishes. Instead, Black Smoke Dragon will punish all humanity because they overused and misused the Dragon Balls. Black Smoke Dragon had 7 other Shenron who headed off to destroy humanity.

Goku and the rest did their best to defeat all 7 Shenron and gain the Dragon Balls back. Later, Vegeta also gained Super Saiyan 4 form and beat one of the Shenrons. But Omega Shenron was way too strong. That’s why both Goku and Vegeta fused together and formed Gogeta.

Dragon Ball GT SS4 Gogeta Versus Syn Shenron

However, Gogeta didn’t defeat Omega Shenron. It was Goku who defeated Omega Sheron by using Super Ultra Spirit Bomb, which he made from living energy from every creature in the universe.

Later, our very own Shenron came and granted their last wish and revived everyone. Goku left with Shenron. This arc starts at episode 48 and ends at episode 64.
