ABOUT A CERTAIN MAGICAL INDEX
A Certain Magical Index is a shōnen anime with science, fantasy, and action elements. It was written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura. The original light novel ran from April 10, 2004 – to October 10, 2010. It is pretty famous because of its scientific elements, and it also has one of the best power systems, in my opinion.
That’s not all of it, the anime gives us lots of arcs, but they are not useless. Arcs tell us the storyline in quite an ambient way, and it’s great. In short, the arcs of this anime are pretty good, and it does not waste your time.
A CERTAIN MAGICAL INDEX PLOT
The story is set in a city (Academy City) where humans with supernatural and psychic abilities live. This city is basically for the scientific study of humans with extraordinary power or abilities. They observe them every time and give them the “Esper Rank” according to their abilities.
Our MC has the lowest Esper Rank with almost no Psychic talent. So why is he here? He is in Academy City because his right hand possesses excellent powers as he can negate any supernatural power with it. He is kind of like Asta from Black Clover.
Furthermore, he was living an ordinary and peaceful life, but he met a strange girl on his terrace one day. She knows 10,300 forbidden magical grimoires, but they are locked somewhere in her memories. Some sorcerers want that info, and he ends up in her mess.
