26. Usopp
Cosplayer: Berpi
Starting off with one of the first main characters in One Piece, Usopp! One of the difficult parts in Usopp’s cosplay is his unusually long nose and in Berpi’s cosplay… well you can see that he actually nailed it! Usopp’s new world outfits are all insanely accurate and he even used a shirt for the chest which I think is a really smart idea.
25. Monet
Cosplayer: SheYue
Monet is one of the antagonists in One Piece during the Punk Hazard Arc. She is a harpy with gigantic bird claws and wings. Here you can see a stunning image of SheYue’s Monet and even though we can’t see her claws, you can tell she’s done a great job with the wings and even improvised it with a nice snowy background.
24. Smoker
Cosplayer: Huynh Tran
Smoker is a part of the Marine organization in One Piece. You’ll easily know him for the two tobaccos he uses at the same time. He’s a tough guy with a large build and has an attitude of a yakuza. Huynh Tran’s Smoker right here is a great portrayal of the character. The outfit and expressions are all on point since you can already see Smoker’s true nature in this one.
23. Boa Hancock

Our first Boa Hancock cosplay is by KumaQi! Boa is known as the Snake Princess among the people of Amazon Lily and is the sole female member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. KumaQi’s Boa Hancock is an incredible depiction of her that emphasizes her beauty and confidence as the Kuja Pirates’ Captain.
22. Bartolomeo
Cosplayer: shinobu_usj
Bartolomeo is the Barto Club’s captain and is also one of the captains of Luffy’s Straw Hat Grand Fleet! He’s introduced as a guy who’s very laid-back and doesn’t really care about proper etiquette. However, Bartolomeo is one of the most loyal crewmates of Luffy and will always take his side in whatever decision he makes. This cosplayer right here definitely captured Bartolomeo’s devilish look along with his perfect outfit.
21. Nico Robin
Cosplayer: Atsushix2
During the Alabasta arc, Nico Robin is one of the members who joined Luffy’s crew and has become a solid member since then. Atsushix2’s cosplay takes on Nico Robin’s outfit during the Alabasta Arc. She even wears a white coat and a cowboy hat which you can also see in the anime.

20. Portgas D. Ace
Cosplayer: RedAceCosplay
Portgas D. Ace was one of the members of the Whitebeard and is also one of Luffy’s sworn brothers in the series. He first appears during the Alabasta Arc and that is also the first time where he reunites with Luffy. On RedAceCosplay, you can see that he got every accessory that Ace has in the anime such as the bracelet, necklace, and even his iconic hat.
19. Perona
Cosplayer: Calssara
Perona was initially introduced as one of the main antagonists in the series during the Thriller Bark arc as one of Gecko Moria’s subordinates. She has the ability to create and control ghosts which she can use to fight against her enemies. Calssara’s Perona has made a stunning version of her and even managed to capture the spooky vibe that she gives off in the series.
18. Caesar Clown

Caesar Clown is the main antagonist during the Punk Hazard Arc in One Piece. He’s a formidable opponent due to his vast knowledge in the fields of science and that means he can use different kinds of chemicals or toxins to deal with his enemies. This cosplay of Caesar is an incredible work of the cosplayer since you can really feel his intimidating vibes and creepy aura as a scientist.
17. Usopp (Sogeking)

You may have known Sogeking for his first appearance during the Water 7 and Enies Lobby Arc where Usopp hides his identity as Sogeking due to his conflict with Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates. In SDraconis’s cosplay, you can tell that he really nailed Sogeking’s mask and is probably the most accurate one in this picture. He even has the slingshot and cape that Sogeking always wears when he makes his appearance.
16. Kizaru

Kizaru is one of the three Admirals in the Marine organization and despite his laid-back attitude, he is a very strong character because of his Pika Pika no Mi that allows him to move at the speed of light. Hide_OMEGA’s cosplay does not only have the accurate outfit of Kizaru but even his expression especially the form of his lips. I’d say that this is one of the most perfect Kizaru cosplays you will ever see!

15. Yamato
Cosplayer: love1loooomy
Yamato makes her first appearance during the Wano Arc as Kaidou’s daughter. She has the looks of an oni similar to the ones you see in Japanese folklore due to her horns, her club, and the nio-dasuki attached to her waist. Love1loooomy’s cosplay has captured all of those aesthetics and even made it better with a fighting stance that shows her strong-willed personality.
14. Shanks
Cosplayer: GraysonFin
Shanks is one of the reasons why we have One Piece since it was he who inspired Luffy to become a pirate and go on an adventure of his own. What you can see in this cosplay is a fierce portrayal of the Red-Haired Pirates’ Captain. He made an impressive cosplay of Shanks with the spot-on cape he wears and even the tattered shirt.
13. Boa Hancock

Another Boa Hancock cosplay is from love1loooomy herself! In this one, it seems that she’s made a unique approach in portraying the Snake Princess with an outfit you don’t see in the anime! But even so, I think she still nailed the looks and overall appearance of Hancock, especially with the customized version Kujo Pirates hat!
12. Sabo
Cosplayer: R0Zzzz
Sabo is one of Luffy’s sworn brothers and is also one of the members of Monkey D. Dragon’s Revolutionary Army. He also eventually became the user of Mera-Mera no Mi which was previously Ace’s Devil Fruit. As for Sabo’s cosplay, they did an incredible job in making his outfit since this one right here is visually accurate to the source material. From top to bottom, everything is just incredibly well-made for a Sabo cosplay.
11. Uta
Cosplayer: love1loooomy
Uta is one of the newly introduced characters in One Piece and she made her first appearance on the big screen in the movie, One Piece Film Red as the daughter of Shanks. Even though she’s a fresh character, a lot of people have already made attempts in cosplaying her, and love1loooomy’s is one of the best ones you can find.
What you see here is Uta’s antagonistic personality due to her hate towards the pirates and as for the cosplay, everything is spot-on with her anime outfit. What’s more incredible is the unique headphones she wears and they even managed to install lighting on them!

10. Eustass Kid

Next we have Captain Eustass Kidd of the Kid Pirates who is part of the so-called Worst Generation. This Captain Kid cosplay leaves a lasting impression because of those metal arms. Even though some of the parts of the cosplay are a bit exaggerated such as the hairstyle, it’s still a good portrayal of the Kid Pirates’ Captain.
9. Silvers Rayleigh

Silvers Rayleigh or also known as Dark King Rayleigh was one of the crew of the Roger Pirates back in his prime. Now that he’s a retired pirate, he mostly served as a supporting character and became Luffy’s mentor in mastering his Haki. Vegacosplay has done a great job pulling off the looks of the retired pirate. Since Rayleigh is known to be an old guy, you’ll mistakenly see him as a laid-back type of person and that is basically what it gives you in this cosplay.
8. Trafalgar D. Law

Trafalgar Law is one of Luffy’s most trusted allies outside of the Straw Hat Fleet. Before the 2-year time skip, Law wears casual attire with a t-shirt that has their Jolly Roger imprinted on it. In this version of yosukecosplay, all the characteristics of Law’s design are present even with the tattoos! You can really tell that the cosplayer went all out when it comes to detail even though Law only has a simple design.
7. Monkey D. Luffy

Of course, we’re not gonna forget the main protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy! Despite being the main character, Luffy doesn’t really have a complicated design because he only wears a red cardigan, his usual blue shorts, and a yellow sash around his waist. Deicn911’s Luffy is an incredible cosplay of the character. He even managed to make Luffy’s scar perfectly and made it look more natural!
6. Sanji
Cosplayer: Eiki_cos
Up next is Sanji! One of the first members of the Straw Hat Pirates before they entered the Grand Line! Most of Sanji’s outfits always come with formality because he always wears a black suit over a polo that comes in different colors but most of the time, he wears the color yellow to match his blonde hair. Eiki_cos’s version is a well-made depiction of Sanji’s look and outfit and of course one should never forget his cigarette since that’s one of Sanji’s trademarks!

5. Nami

The navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates is none other than Nami herself! In this work of sammycosplay, she wears Nami’s outfit during their time in the Wano country. Apparently, she wears a blue kunoichi outfit with a patterned obi tied to her waist similar to sammycosplay’s Nami. Everything in this image is perfectly made even the tattoo on her shoulder which of course played a big part during her character arc!
4. Nico Robin

Another Nico Robin cosplay we have is one made by Natsumi! If the other one is a pre-time skip cosplay then this one is the post-time skip version! Just like the one in the anime, Natsumi’s Robin also wears the sarong skirt with flowers imprinted on the side, the cool leather vest that covers her upper torso, and those sporty sunglasses above her head! A refreshing outfit that also gives you the vibes of the summer season!
3. Mihawk

Dorian Amaury’s cosplay is a spot-on version of Mihawk’s character design. They never fell short on any of the details of Mihawk’s outfit, especially his European clothing that is covered with subtle patterns. He even managed to make his hat more fashionable in his cosplay along with the amazingly detailed facial hairs!
2. Roronoa Zoro

Another cosplay work from Dorian Amaury is his Roronoa Zoro! This one he added more editing and accessories to Zoro’s outfit making him look more like a pirate than a swordsman! Apart from that, it looks like they also improvised his usual green haramaki outfit making it have a lasting impression to anyone who sees it!

Last but not least is of course Natsume0v0’s cosplay of Boa Hancock! Treating it as cosplay is almost like an understatement because this one right here is so close to Boa Hancock’s design and would probably look like this if she was actually real! The elegance, confidence, and intimidating aura that Boa gives off in the anime can also be seen in Natsume’s work! A really splendid one at that and is definitely one of the best Hancock cosplays you could ever find!

Charlotte Just like Tokyo Revengers, Charlotte also involves the theme of time traveling. It also involves some High School stuff going on just like Tokyo Revengers. Charlotte follows the story of some pre adolescent kids who start developing superhuman powers when a mysterious comet named Charlotte passes by Earth. Yuu Otosaka is our MC who develops the power of possessing anyone’s body for five seconds and wants to use it to live his school life as carefree as he can. However, he’s exposed by a girl named Nao Tomori. She forces him to transfer to the Houshinoumi Academy where the rest of the kids with superhuman powers are. Together, they search for their destiny as power wielders. 10. Black Lagoon Black Lagoon is an action-oriented anime with a bunch of delinquents/yakuza just like Tokyo Revengers. However, the yakuza in Black Lagoon are definitely on a whole other level of badass. So, if you’re into some action-filled anime, we definitely recommend you to watch this one! Black Lagoon tells us the story of Rokuro Okajima who’s an ordinary salaryman, carrying some important documents for the company. The ship he’s traveling in gets attacked by the pirates. ReLife ReLife features the concept of time traveling along with some lovey-dovey concept that is quite similar to Tokyo Revengers. You’d also notice the characters of both the anime giving the same vibes despite having different dynamics. Traveling back in time to fix one’s life by not repeating the same mistake is what’s similar in both ReLife and Tokyo Revengers. The story revolves around a 27-year-old guy named Kaizaki Arata, who’s hopeless in finding a job after quitting his former one. One day he meets Ryo Yoake who works at the ReLife Research Institute. Ryo possesses a drug that could transform Kaizaki into his 17-year-old self again to fix his past mistakes. Kaizaki agrees to use it and starts his life again as a high-schooler. 8. Great Teacher Onizuka Both Great Teacher Onizuka and Tokyo Revengers share the theme of High School Drama and involve some really nice yakuza action. However, Great Teacher Onizuka is definitely way more comedic than Tokyo Revengers. Our MC in Great Teacher Onizuka is a badass ex-biker gang leader who aspires to be a great high school teacher (How ironic!). However, he’s up to no good as his sole motive of getting into a high school as a teacher is just to find a pretty little teenage wife for him. He manages to get into the prestigious Holy Forest Academy but finds himself in a bit of a mess as his class is notorious for being rotten to the core. The students face issues every day and he is the one who solves them by using his life lessons. 7. Orange Orange is just another anime with time-traveling as its main theme. Although it does not involve any delinquents or yakuza, it is quite similar to Tokyo Revengers. Both involve some high school romance and the MCs wishing to fix their past mistakes to save their loved ones. We definitely recommend you to check it out if you loved watching Tokyo Revengers. Orange follows the story of Takamiya Naho who receives a detailed letter from herself 10 years in the future one day. Ikebukuro West Gate Park Both Ikebukuro West Gate Park and Tokyo Revengers revolve around the gang culture in Japan and its power dynamics. They show the struggles of different yakuza gangs possessing different power structures. They both share the same concept of protecting someone other than themselves! The story is about Makoto Majima who is a troubleshooter and often fixes disputes amongst the deadly yakuza that live in Ikebukuro. He’s Extremely capable and is able to do things that even the police can’t. Makoto ends up losing his loved one when things get out of hand. Will he keep his cool and deal with everything logically or go haywire? The answer lies in the anime! 5. Rainbow Another anime about delinquents and gangs, Rainbow tells us the story of some bad boys that are also sad boys! Rainbow and Tokyo revengers are quite similar because of the concept of yakuza bonding and deeply analyzing why they turn out to be like that. Rainbow tells us the story of a bunch of teenagers who have been shifted to Shounan Special Reform School because of some crimes they committed. They meet an older inmate, Rokurouta Sakuragi, who was a former boxer in their cell and all of them become close to him. The boys saw a light of hope and promised each other that they’ll meet again outside after serving their sentences. 4. Shounan Bakusozouku This anime features a theme of gang culture and mixes it up with the high school drama which gives it an interesting edge! We see the concept of gang culture portrayed beautifully in this anime just like Tokyo Revengers. Shounan Bakusozouku is about a high school gang leader who’s a biker as well as a member of his school’s handicrafts club (How ironic!). We find our MC very weird because he constantly juggles between being a badass biker and a total cutie with his handicrafts. The rest of his gang is equally weird! 3. Steins; Gate Steins; Gate incorporates the theme of time travel and is very similar to Tokyo Revengers. However, we don’t see any gangs or yakuza in Steins; Gate. Our MC, unlike the MC of Tokyo Revengers, is a weird scientist. Both the anime involve going back in time to save their loved ones. This anime revolves around a mad scientist named Rintarou Okabe along with his team members, Mayuri Shiina and Hashida Itaru who are constantly working on some “Future Gadgets”. They manage to create a bizarre “Phone Microwave” that can send Emails to the past, changing the past completely. 2. Kokou Botuden Crows Kokou Botuden Crows revolve around high school gangs and delinquents and their strong bonds with each other. If you liked Tokyo Revengers, you’re definitely going to love this one! The story is about Bouya Harumichi who got transferred to an all-boys high school. That high school is a haven for some of the most dangerous delinquents. The high school is named “Crows High School” because the students get a lot of hate from normal people because of their inauspiciousness. Hamachi has the potential of becoming a badass delinquent. But will he really join hands with the delinquents and get all the hate from the people around him? 1. Erased Just like the MC of Tokyo Revengers, our MC from Erased becomes his younger self to save his loved one. Both anime share the concept of time traveling as well as changing the course of things so that they could fix what they’ve ruined. Erased follows the story of Satoru Fujinuma who’s a reclusive part-timer with no ambitions. However, he has the power of going back in time and avoiding accidents or deaths (Such a convenient power!). Satoru lives with a constant childhood trauma that he would like to forget. The only way is to go back in the past and fix things so that he could live his life without any guilt. Will he trust his ability and go back in time to fix things? Conclusion Tokyo Revengers is definitely worth all the grace it’s getting. It has a beautiful story that gives us a lesson that we should not trust what we see on the surface but also try to understand something on a deeper, less superficial level. Another thing that Horimiya has that is the same with Gakuen Babysitters is how they portray the Slice of Life and Comedy genre realistically. It has characters that have similar characteristics to Gakuen Babysitters as well. Similar to Ryuuichi, Miyamura (the male main character) started to understand that no one can be alone, as he meets friends and eventually finds the love of his life. Horimiya is a Slice of Life, RomCom anime that features Izumi Miyamura, a timid and shy student who was alone for most of his life and was constantly bullied, and Kyouko Hori who is an independent and determined high school girl. As the days go by and they start to know each other, love eventually blossoms between the two, and a new world is opened up for Miyamura Izumi. It may not have babies, but that does not mean it doesn’t have characters who are as dumb as one. 14. Himouto! Umaru-chan She is not a baby! She just looks like one! Himouto! Umaru-chan is a slice-of-life anime just like Gakuen Babysitters. It features characters with the same tropes that are found in Gakuen Babysitters as well. Not only that, their comedic antics are closely similar to the series as well but it lacks the wholesomeness that encapsulates Gakuen Babysitters. Himouto! Umaru-chan is a pure comedic slice of life anime that offers little drama but packs a punch with its jokes and hilarious scenes. The series revolves around Umaru Doma who is a perfect high school student but once she gets home and wears her hamster hoodie, she becomes this lazy otaku that just does whatever she likes, leaving her brother, Taihei all the household chores. The series also has a set of characters that give more spice to the comedy such as the shy and quiet Ebina, the so-called rival Sylphynford, and the Hayato-like Kirie. Again, she just looks like a baby, and maybe even has the same IQ as one. 13. Tamako Market We had high schoolers who were as dumb as a baby, we had an otaku who looks like a baby, but now we get－a talking bird! Yes. A talking bird who’s addicted to mochi. One thing for sure that makes Tamako Market have similarities with Gakuen Babysitters is that it is Slice of Life anime through and through. It features the everyday life of Tamako Kitashirakawa, just like in Gakuen Babysitters where the story revolves around the daily life of Ryuuichi inside the daycare. But instead of daycare, we have a market and instead of babies, you have a bird who has a bigger ego than that one guy who just got a raise. Tamako Market also has the wholesomeness and subtle comedy and romance in Gakuen Babysitters. As I’ve said Tamako Market revolves around the life of Tamako and the market where everyone knows everyone. Tamako belongs to a family of mochi bakers. On a fateful day, she finds Dera Mochimazzi, a bird who proclaims that he is royalty from a distant land and is in search of a bride for his nation’s prince. But Dera takes on an unusual addiction to Mochi, becomes overweight, and can no longer return to his homeland. He lives in Tamako’s house and becomes the mascot. There is also a little romance involved as Tamako’s childhood friend Mochizou continues to hide his feelings from her. 12. K-On! What goes well with wholesomeness? Music and a Tea Party! K-On! is another wholesome slice of life anime that is set in a Japanese high school. But instead of daycare or your typical high school student, K-On! features the four (and then five) high school girls that reside within the Light Music Club. The series shows their day-to-day life just like in Gakuen Babysitters but adds a little uniqueness with their songs and performances. It also has comedy, a little bit of drama that can be found in high school, as well as their journey to achieve their dream. The band name is “Afterschool Tea Time”. The band members include The forgetful main character Yui Hirasawa who plays the guitar and is the lead vocalist; The energetic Ritsu Tainaka who plays the drums; The shy Mio Akiyama, the second vocalist, and bassist; The wealthy and naive Tsugumi Kotobuki who plays the keyboard and; a member who will arrive at the later part of the series, Azusa Nakano who also plays the guitar. Together they bring out wholesome laughs and adorable antics that can’t help but make you smile. The series also has several original songs that can make your day flutter with happiness. 11. Nichijou Nichijou is one of the funniest and wackiest slice of life anime you will ever see in your life. Forget about the talking bird, this time we have a talking cat, a principal tries to suplex a deer, a crow is also talking, and there’s even a robot caretaker. What more could you want? Nichijou - My Ordinary Life is literally about the life of the 6 main characters where again one is a robot, one is a talking cat, and also adds a young genius into the mix. Gakuen Babysitters have a more realistic slice of life but Nichijou is like Gakuen Babysitters but drinks coffee 3 times a day. It’s also set in a high school setting just like in Gakuen Babysitters but lacks the emotional drama as it's a full-blown slapstick comedy. Nichijou is the anime series that took all of Gakuen Babysitters' comedy and put them in a high school setting. It’s like a series out of all the imaginations of the babies in the daycare in Gakuen Babysitters. Maybe this is what Usaida is dreaming about. 10. Chibi☆Devi! We finally have babies! Well…devil babies. Chibi☆Devi! is a series that just like Gakuen Babysitters tackles the hardships of taking care of babies but this series just has a “devilish” twist in it. It features the activities that can be found in Gakuen Babysitters such as nap-time and story-time. One thing that sets this apart from Gakuen Babysitters, however, is that the series is geared towards much younger audiences so you won’t find the emotional drama, and the comedy is built for those at a young age. The series is focused on Honoka Sawada who doesn’t believe in devils and such but one day a devil baby named Mao was dropped into her room while she was asleep and is now enlisting the help of Shin Sugisaki to help her in dealing with the unusual circumstances. 9. My Roommate is a Cat From a talking bird to devil babies and back to an ordinary cat. This may seem like a downgrade but keep reading, this series has a lot more in common with Gakuen Babysitters than you thought. It perfectly re-enacts the situation Ryuuichi and Kotarou are in where their parents died in an accident leaving them alone. But in My Roommate is a Cat, the main character is living in solitude until he meets Haru, a grey cat he decided to take care of. He is similar to Ryuuichi because he is put in a situation where he must take care of someone/something other than himself. Although, instead of being like Ryuuichi who is responsible, Subaru can’t even seem to take care of himself. The similarities don’t stop there, after his fateful meeting with Haru, Subaru is now being acquainted with more and more people and is slowly leaving his introverted life. My Roommate is a Cat that builds up an entire story from the “stray gets picked up from the streets” cliche in other anime series and that itself is amazing. It’s heartwarming and also involves funny scenes. Even though Haru has a backstory, the series makes sure that you get to know and fall in love with the characters. 8. Poco’s Udon World Just by looking at the picture you can tell that even in the art style, Poco’s Udon World and Gakuen Babysitters are starting to look alike. But only do they look alike but there are also similarities in their plot and concept. Poco’s Udon World is more intertwined with fantasy while Gakuen Babysitter is telling their story from a more realistic perspective. I mean Poco’s Udon World has a shapeshifting Tanuki. The main characters of the two series also lost both their parents. Poco’s Udon World also has that wholesome tone to it and also talks about the past of the main character, Souta Tawara. There are also similarities in how the supporting characters act and their main characteristics. The storytelling is also similar to Gakuen Babysitter where there is no definitive storyline, the series is just taking us through the daily life of the characters. So, if you’re not into talking birds and cats, maybe you’re more into a shapeshifting Tanuki named Poco. 7. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge This anime is if you imagined Usaida and Ryuuichi changed attitudes. I guess this is what Usaida’s dreams must be about. Also called Tanaka-kun is Always Listless in English it revolves around the main character Tanaka, who doesn’t want to exert energy, and his dependable friend Oota (blonde Usaida) as they encounter extraordinary events while living their high school lives. It’s a slice-of-life comedy anime that focuses on the dream of the main character to live a peaceful and quiet life. It also has a pretty unique art style. The similarities it has with Gakuen Babysitters lie in the basic concept of Tanaka’s daily life. While being the opposite of the responsible Ryuuichi, both series focus on the daily life of the characters and the unusual situations that happen in them. Its style of comedy is also similar to Gakuen Babysitters as well as its list of characters. 6. Sweetness & Lightning We finally reached it! If you’re the one who just scrolled all the way here to find an anime that involves taking care of a real baby, you’ve done it! The anime focuses on the life of Kouhei Inuzaka who is taking care of his daughter Tsumugi after his wife passed away. Because of his busy life and his inability to cook, he usually feeds both of them food from the convenience store. He takes up an offer from his student Kotori, and he and Tsumugi eat and cook together with Kotori. In terms of similarity with Gakuen Babysitters, first off, they both stick to the realistic manner of portraying the slice of life genre. He is also in the same situation as Ryuuichi but this time he’s the father. There is also a hint of drama involved especially in the characters' current situation. It’s a wholesome anime that involves cooking, family, and emotions. In a sense, it's more realistic than Gakuen Babysitters especially in how it deals with the character’s feelings. 5. How to Keep a Mummy Look at that mummy! Who in this world would not think that that’s not cute? And there’s more where that came from. How to Keep a Mummy essentially replaced the babies in Gakuen Babysitters with unique cute pets. The story is all about a high school student named Sora Kashiwagi who receives bizarre gifts from his father who travels the world. When he receives a present that came from Egypt he’s shocked to find a little mummy named Mii-kun. As they go along with their lives they start to meet other people with extraordinary pets. This is essentially Gakuen Babysitters if it were set in Night at the Museum. Both series are cute and wholesome. You can’t help but smile at their antics and their amusing everyday lives. Who wouldn’t enjoy that heartwarming tea-cup size cuteness overload? 4. Bunny Drop Bunny Drop is similar to Sweetness & Lightning but instead of the main character being a single father he is now a 30-year old bachelor who just goes with the flow. The story begins when Daikichi Kawachi was paying his respects to his grandfather. He meets a shy girl named Rin Kaga who is being rejected by Daickihi’s grandfather’s relatives after his death as they think she is a shame to the family as she was shockingly his Daikichi’s grandfather’s illegitimate daughter. Furious, Daikichi decides to take Rin as his own and so his journey to fatherhood starts. Bunny Drop has close ties with Gakuen Babysitters especially in how the series’ main characters try to discover and rediscover the warmth and kindness of a close-knit family. Bunny Drop includes wholesome scenes. The series is rare in the anime world because it deals with a subject that is often taken seriously. This slice of life anime will surely make you smile and maybe make you shed a tear or two. 3. Barakamon Barakamon is not about taking care of children but it’s about discovering yourself while being in contact with one. The plot of Barakamon is centered on Seishu Handa who is a narcissistic and talented calligrapher who was exiled to the Goto Islands after losing his cool when his work was called unoriginal. He meets his wacky neighbors who keep barging into his home, one of which is Naru Kotoishi, a very annoying child. While in exile and always being kept busy by his neighbors, he starts to learn new things that began to change his view on so many things in life. Gakuen Babysitters primarily focuses on antics as well as having subtle emotional scenes such as the case with Barakamon. But Barakamon tends to focus on one of Seishu’s views on life instead of his situation. It has similarities with the comedic scenes in Gakuen Babysitters as well as the way it portrays a slice of life. Maybe by watching this anime, you can learn something that will change your perspective about the world. 2. Baby and Me You may be thinking, what’s an anime that premiered in 1996 doing here? Well, because it is one of the most similar anime to Gakuen Babysitters of course! Maybe even its grandfather or something. Such as I said it's similar to Gakuen Babysitters because the mother of the main character, Takuya Enoki’s mother passed away and now he must sacrifice his childhood, even as a 5th grader to take care of his little brother as his father is busy working as your typical Japanese salaryman. Takuya’s situation is almost the same as Ryuuichi as they both try their best to find the true meaning of family. Baby and Me is essentially a drama-comedy anime. Hanamaru Youchien Hanamaru Youchien or Hanamaru Kindergarten is the closest anime just like Gakuen Babysitters. The main character might not have the same family situation just like Ryuuichi but the scenarios, comedy, and slice of life elements of the two series are like twins. Hanamaru Youchien also has that subtle romance where the main character, Naozumi Tsuchida is in love with Nanako Yamamoto who supervises the class next door. Its structure of events is also similar to Gakuen Babysitters. The show is as wholesome as it gets pretty funny because it’s one of the few anime where a big part of the story is where Anzu, a kindergartener fell in love with Naozumi. The series is relaxing, fun, and just all-around laid-back. It’s a must-watch if you liked Gakuen Babysitters.
