Ao
Ao’s always been an old-fashioned character. He believes that men should be tough and stoic. As you’d expect, someone like him doesn’t like to talk much and is pretty much observant most of the time. He’s also one of the few individuals outside the Hyuga clan to possess a Byakugan, but it was artificially implanted (Naruto Shippuden episode 202)

Boruto Uzumaki
Up next, we have the protagonist himself, Boruto Uzumaki. Just like his father, he’s shown to be very mischievous. But that’s not the only trait he inherited from his father. You see, just like his father, Borut is willing to do anything to obtain his goals. The sheer amount of determination is the reason why people loved Naruto, and it’s why people love Boruto. (Boruto episode 1)

Boro
Manipulative, arrogant, and self-absorbed are the three best words to describe this character. He even considered himself to be a man chosen by God that’ll lead humanity to salvation. The worst thing about him is that he holds great powers, making him a formidable foe. (Boruto episode 157)

Chōchō Akimichi
Some things just run in the family, and in Akimichi’s family, prioritizing a hearty meal above all is what run’s the family. She has a bad habit of never turning down food, which makes her chubby and even cute at times. Don’t call her fat though, as they could be your last words. (Boruto episode 1)

Chōji Akimichi
Like her daughter, Choji’s greatest obsession is also food. A lot of his abilities require him to eat a lot. Hence, his overeating is justified but not yours, so don’t go around taking inspiration from him!

Chōjūrō
As a member of the elite seven swordsmen, you’d expect this guy to have a dangerous personality. However, in reality, he looks like a frail nerd. And in this case, looks aren’t deceiving because is quite a shy guy. Despite his weak personality, he’s quite a powerful foe.(Naruto shippuden episode 199)

Code
As a part of the inner Kara, Code is not someone anyone can go up against. With his great power comes great arrogance, and it’s quite true for Code as well. He looks down on all others below him, and his goal is to evolve into a celestial being. (Boruto episode 157)

Delta
Delta is not that far off from a wicked witch. The two terms that best describe her are arrogant and short-tempered, making her quite unpredictable most of the time. She does have a normal human side, as she cares about her weight a lot. (Boruto Episode: 157)

Denki Kaminarimon
Denki is the class introvert in the ninja academy. The worst thing about his personality had always been that he had a hard time standing up for himself. However, Boruto helps him overcome his insecurity.

Ehou Norimaki
The last guy on the list was an introvert, and this guy is the exact opposite; An extrovert! He’s very focused on becoming a shinobi and trains with his grandfather frequently to obtain his goals.

Ereki Kaminarimon
In an anime filled with enthusiastic ninjas, it’s refreshing to witness someone like Ereki Kaminarimon. Although a shinobi in the past, he decided to start his own business after the fourth great ninja war. And he had immense success, so he leads a luxurious life. (Boruto Episode 1)

Gaara
Initially, Gaara was one of the evilest characters you could meet. However, after getting a life lesson from one of Naruto’s speeches, he changed as a person dramatically. (Naruto episodes 78, 79, and 80) It’s the reason he is the kind and caring kazekage of the village hidden in the sands you see in Boruto.

Garo
As someone chosen by Jigen to be his next vessel, Garo is a very powerful person. And as it is with most villains in Boruto, Garo was very arrogant and short-tempered. (Boruto episode 188)

Hanabi Hyūga
Hanabi is the younger daughter of Hinata. However, from a very early age, she showed great promise as a Byakugan user. She could defeat Hinata in a hand-to-hand duel despite being 5 years younger than her. For that reason, she was chosen to be the future head of the clan instead of Hinata. (Naruto Episode 46)

Hiashi Hyūga
As the current head of the Hyuga clan, Hiashi is the strongest opponent one could face from the clan. He was born only a few moments earlier than his twin brother Hizashi. However, those few moments made all the difference, as Hizashi was discarded to the lower branch of the family. And Hiashi ascended the throne of the Hyuga clan. It was an unjust principle of the Hyuga clan, but it was how things worked. (Naruto episode 46)

Himawari Uzumaki
Himawari was the youngest child of Naruto and Hinata. Despite being the younger one, she inherited the Byakugan from her mother instead of Boruto. And as the youngest child, she’s still naïve and has a lot to learn. She’s bright, cheerful, and loves her family very much. (Boruto episode 1)

Hinata Uzumaki
Having been in love with Naruto from day one, Hinata is one of the most wholesome characters of Boruto. She’s someone willing to lay down her life for Naruto and her family just like any other mother. And don’t let her caring side fool you; she’s a very skilled ninja. Because of her Byakugan, anyone would think twice before messing with her.

Ino Yamanaka
Arguably one of the most beautiful female characters in Boruto, Ino’s beauty doesn’t fool anyone. She’s famous for her sensory-type skills being second to none. And ever since she was a kid she was bold, confident, and willing to do adventurous things with her friends. “Bold extrovert” coins her personality perfectly.

Inojin Yamanaka
Inojin is the only son of both Sai and Ino. He also resembles both of them quite a lot. One of the best things about the kid is that he’s inherited the abilities of both his mother and father. He’s a great sensory ninja and can be relied upon on the front lines as well. (Boruto episode 1)

Isshiki Ōtsutsuki
This guy is by far the strongest villain to have appeared in the Boruto series. He managed to test the limits of both Naruto and Sasuke combined. And that’s no small feat considering these two are demigods at this point. In the fight, Naruto had to even the odds by using something he had never used before. I don’t want to spoil it any further, but it’s a fight that’s worth a watch. (Boruto chapter 52)

Iwabee Yuino
Ever felt like your talents are being held back because you have to focus on your academic grades as well? If that’s you, then you’ll find Iwabee quite relatable! The kid has always been a step ahead of his peers in the ninja academy. However, his weakness lies in his academic performance, as he doesn’t like using his brains that much. Don’t worry, he graduates from the academy just fine. (Boruto episode 1)

Jigen
A man with ancient origins, but a young body; Jigen was just a normal monk. However, Isshiki infiltrated him and gradually took over his entire body. He lost all control, but as you would expect, became powerful in return

Kabuto Yakushi
Kabuto is a villain that was a pain for everyone since the start of the Naruto series. Even though he wasn’t a naturally gifted ninja, he was one of the most intelligent characters in the series. However, in the end, he also sees the light thanks to Itachi and joins the right side in Boruto.(Naruto shippuden episode 338)

Kagura Karatachi
Most of us tend to blind patriots. However, this isn’t the case with Kagura. He’s a very sensible person who seeks the truth no matter how ugly it is. For this reason, he acknowledges the questionable act his village performed in the past and strives to make up for it. As someone who works alongside the sixth Mizukage himself, Kagura is very strong despite his young age. (Boruto episode 25)

Kakashi Hatake
As one of the most complex characters of the show, Kakashi doesn’t like talking all that much. Feared across nations as the “copy ninja” since he’s known to have the ability to replicate any Jutsu he sees. To top it off, his Sharingan combined with his Chidori makes him a foe not to be reckoned with. (Naruto episode 18)

Karin
Her full name is Karin Uzumaki. However, as one of the last surviving members of the Uzumaki clan, she usually conceals her last name. Her healing and sensory ability make her an ideal person.

Karui Akimichi
Ever met a girl who loves fat guys? If not, then I present to you Karui Akimichi. During her time in the fourth great ninja war, she fought alongside Choji and eventually fell in love with him. If that’s not true love, then I don’t know what is.

Katasuke Tōno
A man of intelligence and imagination, his major role was to help the surviving members of the fourth great ninja war. He doesn’t have that much of a role in the Boruto series, but for a side character, he had an interesting and optimistic personality.

Kawaki
Originally, Kawaki was planned to be the next vessel for Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. However, he managed to escape from that hell hole and was eventually adopted by Naruto. He was skeptical about staying with Naruto at first, but he eventually began to trust and love Naruto after realizing the kind of person he truly is. (Boruto episode 1)

Kiba Inuzuka
If you have a thing for dogs, then this is the character you’re gonna love. Most of Kiba’s abilities are much like that of a wild beast. To top it all off, he keeps a dog he grew up with and that dog is also a trained ninja. Together, they form a formidable team. A fun fact about him is that he wanted to become Hokage too. However, he didn’t quite meet the standards, unfortunately. (Naruto episode 1)

Koji Kashin
Koji is the clone of our beloved Jiraiya, and he was created by Amado. Just like Jiraiya, the clone was also energetic, but not all his personality traits overlapped with the original Jiraiya. Koji is shown to be quite stoic and has a reserved personality.

Konohamaru Sarutobi
This kid was the first student Naruto had ever made, and It should go without saying that he picked up quite a few bad habits. But overall, he turns out to be a splendid ninja. Most of his fighting techniques are inspired by Naruto himself. Just like Naruto, he likes to rely on Shadow Clones and Rasengan to make quick work of his enemies. (Naruto episode 2)

Kurenai Sarutobi
As a supporting character, we don’t get to know much about her in Boruto all that much. However, she did play a decent role in the original Naruto series. As a skilled jonin, she was a very strong person. Genjutsu was her strongest suit, even though someone like Itachi could counter it easily. (Naruto episode 81)

Kurotsuchi
As the granddaughter of the third Tsuchikage, Kurotsuchi was filled with a lot of pride. The first impression she gives off is that of an arrogant girl. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s just very serious about her job and likes to be in command most of the time. And someone as strong as her does deserve to be in command!

Mei Terumī
Mei Terumi is the Fifth Mizukage, and she was one of the most beautiful women in Naruto Shippuden. To the fan’s disappointment, she’s shown to have aged quite a lot in Boruto. Despite losing her looks to old age, she doesn’t lose that much strength over the years.

Metal Lee
If you’ve ever had any anxiety problems, then metal is the guy you’ll relate to. Unlike his master Rock Lee, who’s very ferocious, Metal is very soft-hearted and has a hard time dealing with the stress of battle. However, he soon overcomes this problem, and just like his master, Metal’s strong suit is his taijutsu capabilities. (Boruto episode 70)

Might Guy
He ends up in a wheelchair in the Boruto series, but in his prime time, he was one of the most feared ninjas. The reason many people feared him was because of his “eight inner gates ability” that granted him unparalleled strength and speed. Even Madara acknowledged him as one of the strongest ninjas of all time. (Naruto shippuden episode 420)

Mitsuki
Mitsuki was created as a clone of Orochimaru. Don’t worry, he won’t be aiming to destroy the leaf village. He’s a very calm and good-hearted person. And as you’d expect, his abilities are all related to snakes. (Boruto episode 4)

Moegi Kazamatsuri
As a side character, she doesn’t stand out all that much. Her abilities aren’t anything over the top, and she doesn’t seem to be the most eye caddying character either. However, she’s shown to be refreshingly optimistic and caring. (Boruto episode 1)

Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki
If the word “superiority complex” was a real person, then it would be Momoshiki. As a celestial being, he enjoyed his superior status and looked down on all humans who had to work hard to obtain power. (Boruto: Naruto the movie)

Minato Namikaze
The man earned the title “yellow flash” because he was the fastest ninja to have ever lived in the hidden leaf village. In terms of pure speed, he’s ranked second only to Naruto and Sasuke. Aside from having speed, he was quite skilled in sage art as well, though he’s rarely seen using it. (Naruto Shippuden episode 282)

Namida Suzumeno
Just another side character that’s sweet and wholesome to watch.

Neji Hyuga
He’s one of the most talented people in the whole clan. At a very early age, he grasped how to control his Byakugan completely. He even went far as to master some of the moves that were forbidden to the lower branch of the family. However, the man had a very tragic childhood, so he often stays quiet and is somewhat stoic. (Naruto episode 61)

Orochimaru
One of the most weirdest yet intelligent characters in Boruto is Orochimaru. He tried to destroy the hidden leaf village multiple times in the past, but eventually, his heart was also changed and he turned into a good person. His obsession with snakes didn’t change, which makes him come off as a weirdo.

Sai Yamanaka
We get to witness quite a “fun” Sai in the Boruto series. However, this wasn’t always the case, as Sai was a very cold person in the past. As a former member of the ANBU black ops, he would never hesitate to kill anyone.

Sakura Uchiha
Sakura was criticized for being the weakest member of team 7 for quite some time. Although some people hate her to this day, it’s safe to say that she’s worked on all her weaknesses from the past and has become the strongest female ninja of the hidden leaf village.

Sarada Uchiha
Sarada is the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura. She seems to have inherited abilities from both her parents. However, her temper is a lot like her mother’s than her father’s. In other words, she tends to get angry very easily.

Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke is the eternal rival of Naruto, and although he spends most of his time trying to destroy the village, he ends up seeing the right path that Naruto shows him. He is calm, rational, and doesn’t crack under pressure. He’s the only one in the ninja world who can go head-to-head against Naruto

Shikadai Nara
Shikadai Nara is hailed as a prodigy. He’s the son of Shikamaru, the brilliant strategist, and Temari, who is the sister of the Kazekage. Even though he has a lot of pressure on him, he’s a lot like the way his dad was in his childhood. In other words, all he wants to do is sleep around all day.

Shikamaru Nara
Even though he started as one of the laziest ninjas, he climbed up in ranks faster than anyone else amongst his peers. He was the first one to become a chunin, and later on, became the personal advisor of the Hokage himself.

Shin Uchiha
As the test subject of Orochimaru, this guy is messed up psychologically. He believes that all living organisms are met to fight each other, and it’s all about the survival of the fittest. He would’ve been correct if it were the stone age, but this is the modern shinobi era which makes him pretty inaccurate.

Shinki
Shinki is one of those ninjas who had a hard time controlling his powers. He comes off as an angry person, but in reality, he’s very nervous all the time. He was surprised when Gaara had offered to help him control his powers, as he had not experienced much compassion before.

Shino Aburame
You can either think of this dude as the coolest kid of the class or the weirdest; you’re right either way. The man can control insects, and that’s how he goes about fighting people. Trust me, it’s deadly.

Shizune
As one of the most talented medical ninjas of the hidden leaf village, she usually stays glued with Tsunade. The best thing about her is how wholesome of a character she is. She would treat anyone with respect and courtesy. At the same time, she’s also very intelligent. She’s a dream girl for many men!

Shojoji
As an author, if you were gonna make a character that’s annoying and hateable in every way, you’d come up with Shojoji. He’s selfish, arrogant, and fat. I suppose the worst thing about him is that he feels no remorse in ending a person’s life for his gain.

Suigetsu Hōzuki
The average human is made up of 70 percent water. When you add another 30 percent, you get Suigetsu. Yup, this guy is completely made of water! He is completely immune to all physical attacks, and that’s what makes handling him in combat very hard.

Sumire Kakei
She’s a kind and caring character who loves all her classmates. The greatest ability she has as a ninja is her brains, whereas her brawns are somewhat lagging. Another fun fact about her is that she’s obsessed with the seventh Hokage.

Temari Nara
Temari is the wife of Shikamaru, and she’s somewhat of a tsundere if I’m being honest. Don’t get your hopes up; you’ll be dead before you get to see her soft side. The only lucky person to have seen that soft side is Shikimaru himself.

Tenten
Tenten is a strong girl with great willpower. Although she doesn’t get a lot of screentime, we do know that she’s very hardworking; and relies on a lot of ninja tools.

Tsunade
She was hailed as one of the strongest medical ninjas of the leaf village for nearly all her life. However, she does like to hide her age. Even though she is more than 50 years old, she uses some sort of transformation jutsu to keep herself looking young.

Urashiki Ōtsutsuki
Even though the entire Otsutsuki clan is filled with dull people who look like they haven’t heard a joke in centuries, Urashiki is a breath of fresh air. He likes to joke around every once in a while and has a pretty decent personality
