Who is the Real Time Devil? Is it Julius? Because he has Time Magic? Is it Ryuden? The newly introduced character who’s also suspected to be Asta’s dad just like any other new character.. Or is it perhaps Zoro? Ohhh sorry! Wrong anime!!!

However, before getting into the video, let’s just talk about Black Clover. As you all know, Black Clover anime is on a longgg break. A movie was announced but there has been no news regarding that as well. The manga was also on Hiatus for 3 months. In short, things are not looking good for Yuki Tabata and his Black Clover.
IS THE REAL TIME-DEVIL REVEALED?
Despite all this, the manga has been doing great. A lot of new characters were introduced. We got to know about Yami’s Country and also that his name is not Yami, it’s Sukehiro lol! Yami is their family name. His lil sister Ichika was also introduced recently, and she’s also a little baddie just like him.
It was also announced that this will be Black Clover’s last arc. So, fans are expecting some great things from it. Let’s just hope that the Black Clover movie does good and the anime returns.
Now, without any further ado, let’s get straight into the video.
Is Julius the Time Devil?
There are a lot of theories regarding the real-time devil. Some people still believe that Julius is the real–time devil. Why? Julius being the Time Devil got hyped after Chapter 331 when Damnatio revealed that the Time Devil Astaroth has been missing from the underworld for 20 years now, and Julius is the only human with time magic. I know it makes sense! He has time magic and is extremely strong. And we know nothing about his past. However, his sharing a body with Lucius and the fact that he is just a soul totally demolish this theory.
It might be possible that he is the reincarnation of the time devil. The odds of this are quite low in my opinion.
Have you guys ever wondered why aren’t there any humans with Gravity and Curse magic (magic attributes of supreme devils)? And why is there a human with time magic? It doesn’t make sense. Now, you might say there are humans with Spatial magic (which is also the magic of a supreme devil).
If you compare their magic power to that of Beelzebub, they are farrr toooo weak. Beelzebub can manipulate space at will. However, Finral and Langris can’t even control their abilities properly. However, Julius can use time magic on par with a devil.
Now, this is where the real theory begins. My speculation is that Julius was not born with this magic attribute. He was born magicless, or perhaps he had magic, but it was not that significant. I believe you all know that Lucius Zogratis possesses Soul Magic, right? He has the ability to give and take magic attributes. Yeah! Just like ALL FOR ONE from MHA. We saw this ability when he gave Sister Lily Beelzebub’s spatial magic. (Manga Chapter 334) Ahhhh! That panel still hurts! Mah boi Asta had to go through so much in just one day. This is CRAZYYY! He doesn’t deserve this.
Who is Lucius Zogratis?
In case you are not a manga reader and just want to know about the time devil, I’ll tell you who Lucius Zogratis is. Lucius is the elder brother of Dante, Vanica, and Zenon Zogratis. His identity was revealed recently, before the hiatus. We saw him a couple of times in Zenon’s flashbacks as well. However, his face was never revealed. Some people even suspected him to be Asta’s father, lol! From what we can see, he shares the same body as Julius Novachrono. YEAH! Exactly like Patry and William!!
He possesses Soul Magic. Apparently, he can alter the soul of anyone he touches. He can even alter their memories and make them follow him. He did the same with Sister Lily and Damnatio. And now he has Gravity and Time magic as well. Still, can he beat Goku tho? Ohh sorry, that was kinda irrelevant.
Now, the main question here is, how is he related to Ryudo Ryuuya being the time devil? First things first, what do we know about Ryudo?
Who is Ryudo Ryuya?
Ryudo Ryuuya is the Shogun AKA Wizard King of the Land of the Sun. His appearance is quite similar to Yami. Well! He’s not his elder brother or anything. He’s Yami’s childhood friend (That’s what he says). He wears an eye patch and does not possess any significant magical ability. We first saw him when Asta got teleported to the Land of the Sun by Sister Lily. (Manga Chapter 337)
And apparently Ryudo knew where Asta was. He even said “I’ve been waiting for you” or something like that? Isn’t this a bit odd? How did he even know Asta’s name in the first place? I mean, according to him, the Clover Kingdom is quite far from the Land of the Sun. The only way you can travel there is by the ocean.
What I want to imply here is that I believe Ryudo Ryuuya has the ability to see the future. Which could ultimately mean that he has time magic. You think I’m joking, right?
There are multiple instances that prove Ryudo’s future seeing ability. Let’s just list them.
First, he knows Asta and even knew where he is. Unless he has Lolopechika’s level of Mana Zone, I don’t think it is possible.
Second, when Asta said that he wants to go back, Ryudo said that his ALL-SEEING EYE tells him that he’ll lose the fight miserably. He stands no chance against Lucius. (Manga Chapter 337)
Third, when he and Asta were taking a stroll outside, Ryudo saved a woman and her kids from some thieves. It was pretty smooth, not gonna lie. Even Asta noticed it. (Manga Chapter 338)
Another thing that concerns me is his FREAKING EYE!!! What is he hiding huh!? Sharingan? Six Eyes? Or perhaps injury marks? I don’t think so. That eye quite possibly belongs to the Time Devil, which would allow him to see or predict the future.

Let’s just talk about some Demonology. Even though, he is the SUPREME DEVIL, he is not necessarily evil. He is portrayed as a great mentor to whom people turn to when they need political and buisness advice. He also favors humans over demons as he doesn’t want his wisdom to go into wrong hands or used for ill purposes.
Now, if we compare Astaroth and Ryudo, you’ll see ALOT of similarities. Ryudo, like Astaroth, possesses great wisdom and the way he led the Land of the Sun is remarkable. Even though he is magicless, people respect him because of his knowledge and leadership skills.
How is all of This Connected?
As well all know that the Time Devil AKA Astartoh disappeared 20 years ago. He was probably summoned by someone from the Land of the Sun. Lucius somehow got word of this information and considering that it would be only chance to steal his heart, he ventures there.
Now, the question here is. How was he able to defeat him? Knowing Lucius, he must’ve used some underhanded trick to defeat him (That’s why he knows how strong Lucius is) After defeating Astaroth, he stole his magic using his soul magic. But, Astaroth somehow managed to keep one of his hearts safe (We know that devils have multiple hearts).
Lucius knew that he cannot keep the Time Magic to himself as it will raise suspicions. So, he transferred it to his other soul, Julius Novachrono, and altered his memories as well. It was all part of his plan. He wanted to infiltrate the Clover Kingdom from inside.
Astaroth, on the other hand, was weakened from this. He had already some friends in the Land of the Sun. He managed to hide himself within the Kingdom as Ryuugen Ryuuya. With some of his magic left, he probably concentrated all of it into his eye. That explains why he hides his eye.
With his Sharingan, ohhhh sorry! I mean the ALL SEEING EYE!, he managed to become the Shogun of the Kingdom. Now that he had some authority, he had to send someone to keep an eye on Lucius. So, he sent Yami as a spy. Lucius probably knew Yami, but he didn’t get rid of him as he had Dark Magic (Which is required to open the gate of the underworld).
And here is another thing as well. Ryudo’s reaction to Liebe (A Devil) was not as astonishing as it should be. It was like he already had connections with the devil, or he is perhaps a devil himself.
Like other popular theories, this one also has some cons. You might be wondering if he is a devil, why Asta couldn’t sense him? Asta can sense Ki. Well! Now we know that there are multiple ways to use Ki. Land of the Sun is the hub of Ki users. So, perhaps there is a way to hide your Ki. You can’t just let your enemy sense your Ki and know where you are, can you?
Why didn’t Ryudo attack Lucius before the opening of the underworld gate? The answer is, he CAN’T. He was not strong enough and you cannot just attack a foreign country and its Wizard King outta nowhere.
Conclusion
This theory is not that popular at this moment. However, if we look at it rationally, it makes a whole lotta sense. Let me know what you think of it. I might’ve missed some points and If I have, let me know in the comments.
Even if Ryudo is not the time devil, there must be some sort of connection between the two of them. Anyways, Tabata will let us know in future chapters what he’s thinking.
