RE: Main is a sports-based high school anime with a fresh new story. The story revolves around Minato Kiyomizu, who was once a renowned water polo player but loses his middle school memory after getting into a car accident. He starts a new life, leaving water polo behind and also many old memories. After seeing the worst state of the polo club at his new school, he wanted to live his old life again.

Yoshiharu Ushimado
Yoshiharu Ushimado is a member of the water polo club of Yamanami High School. He is timid and speaks in a soft voice, making it hard to communicate with others in his class. The trouble to express himself makes him an introvert. (our kind).

Koki Toguchi
Our shaven-headed Koki Toguchi is a smiling, happy and energy radiating boy who makes himself and everyone around him cheerful with welcoming grey eyes. He is a very pleasant character. He is Minato Kiyomizu’s junior high school teammate from the water polo club.

Akimitsu Bizen
Akimitsu Bizen is the coach of the water polo club for the Shogakukan Middle and High school. He has an athletic figure and fair skin. Being a coach, he wears a relaxed business suit that makes him look like a middle-aged man.

Yutaka Babayaro Inomata
Yutaka Babayaro Inomata is a student at Yamanami High School. He is half Nigerian and has a tanned body. He has a warm and kind-hearted nature and an extremely gentle personality. His kind eyes make us instantly fall in love with him.

Minato Kiyomizu
Minato Kiyomizu used to be a water polo player and prodigy. He wants to live a new life after his accident, which causes him to forget his old water polo life. Despite that, as destiny bounds him, he was forced by Eitaro Oka and Jo Jojima to join Yamanami High School’s water polo club.
Despite being a high schooler, he is still a middle schooler. The accident took his life’s three years. As he struggles to remember his prodigy past, he seeks his old coach for help to live a better life.

Eitaro Oka
Eitaro Oka is Minato’s junior from middle school. He enrolled at Yamanami High School when he found that Minato was going to Yamanami as well. When he finds that Minato has lost his memory, despite his admiration towards Minato, he chooses to chase Minato to play water polo.
Eitaro is intelligent and tactical with a very persistent and outgoing nature. Despite this, he can easily lie if something is critical about his interest and gain.

Riku Momosaki
Riku Momosaki is the ace of Shogakukan High School Water Polo Club. A Friend of Minato, he has a very rash nature, often found speaking about his heart’s desire, causing him to blush at many moments. He is a true friend of Minato as he is shown trying to help Minato get his memory back, even though Minato didn’t remember him.
Shugo Amihama
Shugo Amihama is a student at Yamanami High school and was formerly a swimmer. He is a brilliant and mature man who is still confused about what to do after his break from swimming. Indecisive, he often seems to be doing switch work.

Jo Jojima
Jo Jojima (Is having JoJo in the name a Jo Jo reference?) is the Captain of the water polo club at Yamanami high school. He is the one who forces Minato to join the water polo club. With a muscular and trained physique, Jo is loud and friendly. He is more like a shoot first, ask question later guy. He’s very persuasive and doesn’t want to give up!

Keita Kakihana
Keita Kakihane is Minato’s junior high school teammate who is so passionate and caring towards others that he gives a motherly vibe. He loves and deeply cares for his teammates and friends, as he was shown how he cried and hugged Minato after he woke up. He is a man filled with deep emotions but does not wait to show them.

Takekazu Ejiri
Takekazu Ejiri is the Yankee, loud, noisy and quick to fight guy at Yamanami High school. As he is quite a short-tempered man and doesn’t back down from the fight, he often seems to get in trouble backed by his loudmouth nature.
