Blue Lock is a sports anime that tells us about the Japanese Soccer Union hiring an egotistical teacher named Jinpachi Ego who has to select one of the best strikers in the Blue Lock Project! This anime is full of thrills and the matches just get your blood pumping with a little comedy at the side! People tend to compare this anime with Haikyuu but it’s quite different.

Isagi is a very friendly and easy-to-get-along-with type of person. He’s the type of person you would want to rely on when you’re having a hard time. Isagi often gets on the nerves of other people but he definitely loves helping people around him since that way he feels useful. Isagi might come off as a perfectionist who loves finishing things off smoothly. And whenever he’s given a task, he completes it neatly!
Meguru Bachira – August 8
Meguru Bachira is one of the major supporting characters in Blue Lock who might come off as a goof to the team. However, when he’s in a match, he’s much more focused and unleashes his hidden monster. If we talk about his personality, he’s a really cheerful and lively person who’s always optimistic! Bachira is a highly extroverted person who gets energy talking with others. One fun fact about Bachira is that he loves getting presents!

Rensuke Kunigami – March 11

Rensuke Kunigami is not very likable but his looks are second to none. He’s quite handsome and once you become his friend, he’s going to care for you! Hyoma Chigri – December 23
Hyoma Chigri is also one of the main characters in the anime who plays forward. Since Chiari is quite talented, he always had high expectations of himself. Ever since he was a child, he thought he was superior due to his strong muscles and amazing speed! Hyoma Chigri is definitely one of the BEST players in Blue Lock, he’s the type of person who easily gets annoyed when someone gets in his way. Hyoma got badly harassed by the Wanima Brothers to the extent of getting traumatized before playing football. Every player has his own past and traumas. Rin Itoshi – September 9
Rin Itoshi is the younger brother of Sae Itoshi who’s a prideful striker. He’s the best example of an arrogant person but he does his job (playing football) just well. These types of traits came to him from his brother, Sae. He grew up watching Sae playing football and just like that, he wanted to become a better footballer than him. To defeat his own brother, he had to follow what he did and then use his tricks against him. So, we can say that Rin Itoshi is quite smart and intellectual. Rin is going to set the football field on fire. So, girdle up your horses!
Jyubei Aryu – November 3
Jyubei Aryu is also one of the competitors in Blue Lock who’s a “stylish individual”. He’s a very tall individual with long hair. When it comes to his personality, he says that he loves doing everything with a “style”. From playing football to his outfits, everything about him is stylish. Jyubei has a really unique personality and isn’t afraid of asking people about the secret behind their beauty. For instance, he asked Chigri what his hair treatment routine was. He’s known to be quite complicated as sometimes he says that his name is old-fashioned! He’s a manga character, for now, there’s still time before he appears in the anime!
Seishiro Nagi – May 6
Seishiro Nagi is also one of the many competitors in Blue Lock who has fast reflexes, like amazing speed and jumping skills! He’s the type of person who’s naturally talented. For instance, he doesn’t put much effort when it comes to playing football. He loves playing mobile games and he will remind you of Kenma from Haikyuu. Overall, Nagi is a highly skilled football player! He’s not really careless as seen in a match against Team Z when they were about to lose, Nagi got frustrated! Gin Gagamaru – January 2
Gin Gagamaru is also one of the main supporting characters in Blue Lock who’s quite a talented individual! He’s known to have many skills including excellent body control and reflexes. He lives in the Wakayama Prefecture, and he loves bears to the extent of getting bitten by one! Yes, the scar you see on his ear is due to the cut! Gagamaru is also known to be an excellent goal poacher which means that he can steal goals as well! Overall, he’s a really skilled player with immense control over his body.
He seems to stay quiet and calm in every kind of situation. Even if he’s under pressure, you won’t be able to tell that he’s pressured. It’s not easy to read Gagamaru!
Anri Teiri – August 17
Anri Teiri got hired by the Japanese Soccer Union which seems to give her no respect! However, she’s a smart waifu who’s trying her best to help Japan win the World Cup. If we talk about her personality, she’s a calm and determined individual who’s trying her best to help the Japanese Soccer Union. She’s the type of person who isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind all the time. Therefore, she might come off as a straightforward person. Jinpachi Ego – March 31
Jinpachi Ego is the main mastermind behind the Blue Lock Project. He wants to raise some real egotistical strikers who would make Japan win the World Cup. He’s a really smart individual who thinks logically and rationally. He’s the type of person who thinks from his brain instead of listening to his heart. Jinpachi Ego might come off as a very cold person at times, showing no mercy to the players. He’s also known to be an overly ambitious person who’s extremely calculative and whatnot! Sae Itoshi – October 10
Sae Itoshi is one of the main antagonists in the Blue Lock who’s a prideful and determined individual. He’s an intelligent person who is very passionate when it comes to playing football. Sae is mostly seen as cold, blunt, and a very straightforward person who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Like most anime antagonists, he’s quite hard to defeat! Sae doesn’t show any kind of mercy to his opponents and is focused solely on winning. However, he gets quite excited when he meets powerful soccer players.
