THE BEST MANGA LIKE ATTACK ON TITAN!
19. Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba

Yeehaw, listen up folks! Our first contender is none other than the notorious Death Note. But before we get to that, let me introduce y’all to our villainous main character, Light Yagami. Light found the notebook at his school, filled to the brim with names of folks and instructions on how they’re gonna meet their maker.
Well, shucks pardner, let me tell you about the resemblance ‘tween this Death Note and that Attack on Titan. It’s all ’cause they are Shinigamis with their pretty, wide grins. But if y’all have read the manga, then y’all know I’m just yankin’ your chain!
18. 86 By Asato Asato and Motoki Yoshihara

Alright, partner. Just like Marley and Eldia, the Republic of San Magnolia and the Giadian Empire are two neighboring countries that have been locked in an all-out war for many moons. Well, even though Marley and Eldia were a ways off from each other, the point is they were at each other’s throats, ya hear? The Empire’s drones and the Republic’s unmanned weapons are all over the dang battlefield.
But what ’bout them folks who’re caught up in the crossfire? Beyond the walls of Maria – no hard feelings, just kidding ya! – but the Republic’s got walls too, and beyond the walls is the so-called Eighty-Sixth Sector. Folks there were called nonexistent, but they sure do exist! Left high and dry by their own land and stripped of their humanity. And that ain’t all, folks – these poor souls are the ones piloting the unmanned weapons. The ones who are sufferin’ the most are the ones who gotta do the fightin’. It just doesn’t seem right, if ya ask me. But if you want to feel powerful, then check out these 86 anime quotes.
17. Knights of Sidonia/Sidonia no Kishi by Nihei Tsutomu

In this story here, Earth got wiped out by some pesky aliens known as Gauna. So mankind took to the stars, livin’ on these big ol’ spaceships. But even in the vast expanse of space, they weren’t safe from danger. The folks had to fight off all sorts of strange predators, and that ain’t no easy feat. To do it, they had to create these mighty weapons called Gardes. Now, these creatures had a weak spot, just like the Titans in AOT have their napes. In this manga, if ya destroy the core, they can regenerate no more.
That’s where Nagate Tanikaze comes in. He’s a young whippersnapper and a darn good pilot of the Legendary Garde Tsugumori. He’s fightin’ to keep Sidonia safe from a grim fate.
16. Owari no Seraph by Takaya Kagami and Yamato Yamamoto

Vampires, they’re sneaky critters, thriving in their society underground. And once they get a taste of power, they decide to take over mankind. Next thing ya know, we’re all slaves, turned into nothin’ but livestock for them thirsty varmints.
That’s where our hero Yuichiro comes in, with hate as fierce as that big ol’ Eren fella from AOT. He’s seen his friends and loved ones get snatched up by them bloodsuckers, right before his very eyes. But he ain’t just sittin’ around mopin’ and complainin’. When he escaped from the massacre, he ran smack dab into an anti-vampire group called the Moon Demon Company. They saw somethin’ in him and offered him a chance to join ’em on their hunt for them fanged fiends. And of course, Yuichiro jumped at the chance for some sweet, sweet retribution. Who would you be in Seraph of the End based on your personality?
15. Akame Ga Kill! by Tashiro Tetsuya and Takahiro

We done seen some mighty corrupt systems in AOT, and Akame Ga Kill ain’t no different. They both show the same tyranny of the government, although Akame Ga Kill ain’t got no Titans running around. This manga shows how the government’s hurtin’ the regular folk in all sorts of inhumane ways! But don’t you worry, the Night Raids, a secret group of assassins, are aimin’ to take ’em down! But the fight ain’t easy, and sacrifices must be made.
It’s a wild ride of non-stop action and some downright tear-jerkin’ moments that’ll give ya the same feel as AOT! And listen up y’all, if you did watch the anime, let me tell ya, the manga’s a whole other ball game! So, if that there strikes your fancy, why don’t y’all give it a read? Well, pardner, we’ve got a whole heapin’ bunch of anime like Akame Ga Kill, if that’s what yer lookin’ for.
14. Dorohedoro by Q Hayashida

Listen here, pardner! The story happens in a place called Hole, and no, it ain’t no typo, you read it right! It’s a place full of magic, disorder, and death. The magic users in there abuse their power and take advantage of the common folks. But not all of ’em are that way, like Caiman! He’s a humanoid reptile, and get this, he’s immune to magic! ‘Cause of his looks and nightmares, he seeks out answers, and he’s gonna use his bayonets to make sure they talk!
But what’s the weakness of a lizard man with scales thicker than a cowboy’s skin? Hunger, that’s what! Luckily, Caiman’s got a good female friend named Nikaidou who runs a restaurant called the Hungry Bug. Even though things are dark and gory, the story’s got some funny moments too! Don’t ya know that this here manga is one of the best darn horror mangas of all time?
13. Terra Formars by Yu Sasuga and Ken’ichi Tachibana

We’ve been hearing about this endless crusade against the red planet. In this manga, they also plan to colonize Mars. Now, if you ain’t been skipping yer science classes, you probably know that Mars ain’t what it seems. Sure, it may look hot and red, but the planet is actually cold as ice. So, the scientists in this story have the task of warming up Mars. And how do they plan on doin’ that, you may ask? Well, they’ve sent cockroaches and mold up there.
The mold’s purpose is to soak up the sunlight, and the insect carcasses will act as nourishment for mold. Fast forward 500 years later, and a team was sent to the planet to check things out. But what they found out was worse than they ever imagined. The cockroaches had evolved into mega-buff humanoids! 11. Fullmetal Alchemist By Hiromu Arakawa

Let me tell you ’bout these two bright young boys who thought they could bring their dear ol’ ma back from the dead using alchemy. But let me tell you, alchemy ain’t no child’s play, it ain’t no genie in a bottle granting wishes either (and I should know, even Genie in Alladin has no power to revive the dead). They’re done and messed up real good, and now the eldest brother, Edward Elric, has lost his left leg, while his little brother Alphonse’s soul is stuck in a metal suit of armor.
But they ain’t givin’ up yet! Oh no sir, they’re on a quest to find the Philosopher’s Stone and get their bodies back. Along the way, they’ll face all kinds of trouble, from brawls to mysteries, but they ain’t backin’ down. 10. Tokyo Ghoul by Sui Ishida

Eren and Kaneki have something in common, pardner. They both turned into what they despised. Eren hated titans, but he ended up becoming one, and the same goes for Kaneki. He loathed ghouls, but he turned into one too. But that is a silly way to compare two masterpieces.
When it comes to horror and gore, Tokyo Ghoul is the undefeated champion of that arena. This franchise has been delivering a knockout punch to its fans with its incredible art style and captivating storyline for years.
Ghouls are creatures that feast on humans and can also transform into them. Kaneki is a victim of this too, but he managed to survive and became one of them. If you’re interested in delving into this ultimate dark masterpiece, be sure to check out some of our guides.
