Isn’t L just adorable here? I remember when I first watched Death Note, I couldn’t get enough of L’s intelligence. He was such a fascinating character because he was different from everyone else. L definitely left a permanent impression on me.
Yes, this may be just the letter L, but it stands for L from Death Note. Also, look at how the artist curved the letter so cleanly. I can’t even do that with paper and pencil.

Sergeant Frog is a criminally underrated anime. Would you believe me if I told you this was one of my first ever anime? Before you lecture me, I admit I was too young to be watching this series.
But boy I don’t regret it! It’s a very chaotic series that will give you a run for your money. I couldn’t not include this picture in the blog. Please give Sergeant Frog a try—you’re guaranteed a good time.
I also included this because I kept seeing pumpkins of the same anime characters: Natsu from Fairy Tail, All Might from My Hero Academia, and a bunch of Ghibli inspired carvings. Not that there is anything wrong with those choices, but it was nostalgic to see this frog again.

Luffy! God, what a great character. If you don’t know who Luffy is, are you really into anime? Just kidding, I’m not here to judge—but come on, you had to have at least heard of One Piece.
Anyway, Luffy doesn’t have a scar or some sort of facial feature (besides his pinchable cheeks) underneath his right eye. I appreciate the sugar_and_wool’s creativity. To me, I view this special touch as a shadow in the form of light.

Bro, Danganronpa creeped me out. It’s a great horror anime. But I was never good at watching gore. Monokuma is a bear, but not just any bear, a robotic one at that!
I probably should have given this a higher ranking, but Monokuma gave so many nightmares that I can’t forgive him.

Yet another fantastic job from aspicywonton! Gon is one complex fella, I’ll tell you that much. He’s part of the phenomenal series, Hunter x Hunter. I highly recommend you watch the anime during this eerie month!

Before I talk about this work of art, allow me to introduce you to RWBY. This is another unfortunate anime that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. I was a bit iffy on its art style, but once I watched the first two episodes, it grew on me!
Please, please watch RWBY. The plot is top tier, the animation is unique, and the characters are very well written.
This carving does Ruby justice. All I can say is well done MoonlightDreamers!

This is a wonderful pumpkin carving of Medusa from Soul Eater. Argh! It sucks that I couldn’t find a clearer picture of this carving! If I do find one, I’ll be sure to bump this piece up a couple of ranks because man, the lighting is incredible!

Look! You can even see how GriffinPhillis carved Mob’s eyes to appear as though it’s red or deadly looking.

Whenever I see this picture, it reminds me of how lonely Toshinori Yagi is. You see this giant, enlightened All Might embracing the glory of being a hero. But you also see Toshinori as a shadow behind all that brightness.

Listen, I find Kaneki as one of the most tragic characters in anime history. We had this innocent naïve boy be pulled into a world of darkness and violence. And we can certainly see what that world did to him in this carving.
The pure whites of his eyes are turned black, and you have this red hue mixed around his pupils. This is painfully beautiful KillerPumpkin.net.
