Character Development: 0/10 (Hear me out. Yuki didn’t show up for the rest of the series. Maybe she was feeling regretful, but how would I know? The criteria are simply based on what I see. And so, I’ve seen nothing yet that indicates her character developing.)

Character Info:

Yuki was Himiko’s friend. A lot of people from the Btooom! fandom don’t like Yuki. You can think whatever you want from her. But you can’t deny her hardships.

She was (Trigger Warning: Assaulted and Spoiler), Miho and Arisa were forced by Seichiro and his gang. She and the other girls nominated Himiko to take part in the game. Yuki has not appeared since after the traumatic event. Thus, I don’t know if she’s had character development.

Although I empathize with Himiko, I also felt super bad for Yuki and the other girls that were taken advantage of. Hopefully they will find peace in their lives, regardless of how the anime portrayed them.

21) Yukiteru Amano from Future Diary

Character Development: I’m not ranking him on character development, because I don’t know if he was stable. He probably wasn’t by the end of the series.

Character Info:

Everyone and their mother have heard about Yuki from that one famous yandere beauty. Listen, I don’t like Yuki. His character development was not it for me. Yeah, he’s cute or whatever, but that doesn’t quite cut it for me. At least he’s pretty.

You know, just because he (SPOILER) fell in love with Yuno, that doesn’t mean he’s progressed as person. I believe he’s simply off his rocker.

Character Development: 3/10 (THAT’S BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE MORE OF HER!!)

Character Info:

Now, this Yuki is an adorable ray of sunshine. She’s a little kid that has brown hair and wears a pair of dull yellow overalls. Isn’t she precious?

She was also the one that started the fight between Brogy and Dorry, but I’m not sure if that was intentional! I’d say she’s more curious than she is troublesome.

Ah, children don’t suffer consequences like adults. Take me back to that time!

19) Mizore Shirayuki from Rosario to Vampire (Yuki Onna)

Character Info:

Did you know that Yuki Onna means Snow Women? Yuki from Rosario to Vampire is a kind of Yokai, so her true appearance is not of the human form. Her real form is clawed hands and ice-like hair. She’s still cute.

18) Yuki from Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari

Character Info:

Yuki is working for the Sirius Platoon. She’s a medical officer, which is super cool! I love to see anime characters interested in Medicine.

Psst! Anime studios! One of you should adapt the Medical Return Manhwa pronto. I’m looking at you Mappa. You always seem ready to bite off more than you can chew regarding anime adaption.

Anyway, Yuki is a calm and well-collected girl. Although she is rational, she tends to put herself in harm’s way because she doesn’t believe there’s true value in her life. She is a robotic humanoid, but that doesn’t mean she should give up her life.

17) Yuki Kaizuka from Aldnoah.Zero

Character Info:

Yuki in this series is the sister of the main character. Inaho Kaizuka. Although she is the older sibling, Inaho tends to take care of her.

He cooks for her, and he even wakes her up. Yes, she’s a carefree gal, but if you mess with her brother, she’s not afraid to go all out on you.

Yuki loves Inaho—which I believe is the most important part of her character description.

16) Yukinko from Ranma 1/2

Character Info:

No, I’m not cheating. I call her Yuki because I have a hard time saying her name. Like I say her name as if there were two parts. It’s embarrassing, and I apologize.

She’s a little girl that gets caught up in a bad snowstorm. Yuki looks so lovable! She has big blue eyes, and her hairstyle reminds me of my one-China doll

15) Yukine from Noragami Aragoto

Personality: 3/10 (HE GETS BETTER BUT MUCH LATER ON)

Character Info:

You might not have liked Yukine at the beginning of the series but try to understand his point of view. He’s not alive, therefore, he can’t befriend the living. He can’t go to classes or get invited to other people’s houses. It’s sad if you think about it. I like him because his sarcasm gets me going.

14) Yuki Sohma from Fruits Basket

Looks: 6/10 (The anime didn’t do him justice. Go read the manga.)

Character Info:

(SPOILER) Ironically, he is nicknamed Prince Charming, and at the same time, he’s the rat in the Chinese Zodiac! Isn’t that hilarious?!

But seriously, I was impressed with his character growth. He’s also easy on the eyes, which is a great plus for me. Although he seems perfect, he has trouble doing the housework and being social.

13) Yuki Yoshida from Given

18/30

Character Development: 2/10 (I NEEDED COMMUNICATION FROM HIM. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED TOO.)

Character Info:

Aw! Don’t make me cry! (SPOILER BUT LIKE NOT REALLY) I loved Yuki. He is very handsome—arguably the most handsome in the entire anime.

He’s got a cool vibe to him, you know? He’s chill, but also goofy too. If I had to say, he’d probably be the nice, popular guy in high school. He wouldn’t be friends with me because I’m a loser, but if I fell, he’d help pick up my things.

Yuki is extremely charismatic. He’s also got this alpha side to him which he plays about subtly.

Yukito, a name that one could think is common to anime characters, but the truth is, usually it’s a name for minor characters, and there are barely any that are worth more than a few words maybe. 11. Funahara Yuki from Psycho Pass

Character Info:

The thing about Yuki is that she’s the main character’s best friend and the two of them interact now and then. We could say she’s Akane’s respite from reality in a sense, but all her character development goes out in her dying and helping Akane realize the fact that reality can be cruel.

10. Yuki from Flip Flappers

20/30

Character Info:

Okay, so this one is not easy. Yuki or auntie Yuki is a minor but very influential character in Flip Flappers. She’s the neighbor of Iroha, Cocona’s painter friend, and also an inspiration for her work.

Sadly, her character develops in the wrong way as she develops Alzheimer, and starts forgetting all the things ever important to her. This includes Iroha as well who loves her very much despite all this but is willing to quit painting at the same time.

9. Yuki Endou from Asteroid in Love

21/30

Character Info:

I’d say this loving and supporting teacher character is exactly the one thing the star-struck girls need. She’s supportive of her students and does her job as a teacher responsively. Of course, the anime’s main focus is on astronomy and a bit of girl romance. But the characters all go through gradual development over time, and this also goes for her.

8. Ushimaru Yuki from Gakuen Babysitters

Personality Looks Character Development Total

5/10
22/30

Character Info:

The sweet, soft-spoken, and very shy Ushimaru-san is sadly only the third gear in a love story between her best friend and her crush. But still, she tries to do her best to catch up. The problem of course is her being overly shy and having trouble getting along with little kids.

Despite this, she’s a kind-hearted, loving, and beautiful girl, sadly though, she can’t outgrow her complexes despite hanging out with so many great other characters.

7. Yukihime from Kuromukuro

22/30

Character Info:

From what we know about this princess is that she was the daughter and heir of a feudal lord in 16th century Japan, whom Kennousuke served under as a samurai. We do not know much about her personality, but she was likely your typical rich child, who later developed into a warrior and temporary partner of Kennosuke.

If we go out from Yukina, her Reincarnation, and Muetta, her Clone, I think it’s safe to say she was a kind-hearted, gentle and selfless person in truth with good leadership skills.

6. Yuki Yoshikawa from Horimiya

8/10
24/30

Character Info:

As Hori Kyouko’s best friend and number one supporter, it’s safe to say her role is important in the story, she’s also quite the looker, one could even argue she’s prettier than Hori herself, but she’s not the only one.

There are quite a few cute girls on the show anyway, and among all of them, Hori kind of is the elephant in the porcelain shop with her bad temper, aggressiveness, and forceful behavior. I’m surprised she’s still got a boyfriend even so. As for Yuki though, I love her character.

5. Yuki Nonaka from The Testament of Sister New Devil

Personality Looks Character Development Total
7/10
9/10
8/10
24/30

Character Info:

As a member of the Hero clan, Yuki is a powerful warrior and is well equipped with every skill, weapon, and capability to be successful, in terms of appearance she’s also second only to Mio, and she also obviously has a crush on her childhood friend and fellow Hero, Basara.

The only real problem with her is that she’s kind of dull most of the time, but she goes through positive character development, along with her sister. Despite her initial hatred for demons, and especially against Mio herself for more than one reason, she does come around and becomes an invaluable member of the team.

4. Yuki Nagato from The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

Personality Looks Character Development Total
8/10
10/10
7/10
25/30

Character Info:

Supporting characters in the original series and the movie, alien android, and a bit of a dull, quiet doll sitting in the corner of the room most of the time, even though she’s an artificial being, she too has wishes and can get bored.

Superior in intelligence, capable of close-quarters combat, and many other things, the android Nagato Yuki is maybe a bit boring on first look, but during the movie, she proves to be a far more interesting character than she was set up to be.

On the other hand, in the Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoshitsu series, she’s an ordinary human girl who has a massive crush on Kyon, our main character, which is all nice and fun, but other girls are also out to get into Kyon’s favor.

That and the real disappearance arc, make this version of the character much, much more interesting. This also means she doesn’t go through much character development in general, she is quite the cutie though and for someone with such little personality to her, she’s still a fan favorite exactly for that.

3. Yuki Hanzoumon from Release the Spyce

Personality Looks Character Development Total

10/10
8/10
27/30

Character Info:

As an acting leader of the secret organization Tsukikage, a spy ninja girl, a master swordsman, and mentor to our main character, Momo, Hanzou as she likes being referred to, is the Nick Fury of the anime world…

Well, almost. As a strong leader and the most experienced active member of the team, she’s irreplaceable in her position, although she also needs an apprentice who can live up to her and become a worthy successor.

A strong-willed and fearless girl, Hanzou would be willing to die for what she stands for, which she almost does. Proof of how great a character she is is that her apprentice also becomes her successor as a leader and manages to do what neither she, nor her mentor was capable of, and defeats their arch-nemesis.

2. Konno Yuki from Sword Art Online

Personality Looks Character Development Total
10/10
10/10
9/10
29/30

Character Info:

The tragic heroine of the Mother’s Rosario arc, which is, in my opinion, the best story arc of the entire anime or the novels in general. Yuki’s tragic in more than one way, as she’s mortally ill, lost every last one of her family members, and only finds a true friend when she’s about to kick the bucket.

Tragic in the sense that she’s still so young, not even out of her teenage years, tragic in being the one character that brought the best out of Asuna and left her with a parting gift to make sure she never forgets her. Her footprint in the anime is deep and powerful, and all that takes away from her character is her passing away.

1. Yuki Takeya from School-Live!

Personality Looks Character Development Total
10/10
10/10
10/10
30/30

Character Info:

Not many know of this Yuki since neither the manga nor the anime managed to become trending. Gakkougurashi is a powerful psychological drama hidden under the guise of bone-chilling zombie horror.

Yuki seems to be the weakest and most vulnerable character, as she has no special skills, in particular, she’s not the smartest, she can’t lead the household, and she can’t even really be called a fighter. What Yuki does however keeps not only herself alive, but also her three fellow survivors, and holds them together as a small family.

She may not be the smartest, but she’s the wisest, as Yuki often shares words of wisdom with the others that you wouldn’t expect from her normally. In truth, Yuki is the strongest among the others, and under the happy-go-lucky surface, she’s a deeply caring, and thoughtful person, despite having lost someone very very important to her in the most tragic way.

She might even be the oldest of the whole gang, which would explain a lot. Gakkougurashi/School-Live is a powerful drama about coping with losing someone or something very important to you, and Yuki is the prime example of standing up and helping others overcome their crisis, also helping yourself in the process.
