Life is hard as a Blue Exorcist fan. We all know you’re all waiting for the inevitable season 3 announcement any day now. With the drought in official content, what better way to tide you over than a Blue Exorcist Zodiac list?
Blue Exorcist often gets overlooked in the anime community in favor of other shonen but we think that’s a mistake. Blue Exorcist does plenty of unique things with many interesting characters that appeal to a niche many other shonen just don’t. What better way to honor the series than to match some of your favorite characters to their Zodiac signs? Note that this is anime only, and as such we had to use some characters with ambiguous birthdays to fill out the list. Don’t worry, there’s plenty more to add to this list whenever the anime gets going again!

Aries (March 21 ~ April 20)
Nemu Takara
Birthday: March 30 (fictionalized)
Sign: Aries
We don’t see all that much of Nemu Takara but the bits we do see are telltale traits of an Aries. For one thing, he possesses a self confidence that lets him not care at all what others -including his superiors- think. Add to that the fact he seems bored of the cram school because he thinks its beneath him, and Nemu Takara follows the Aries blueprint perfectly.
Taurus (April 21 ~ May 20)
Shiro Fujimoto
Birthday: May 10th
Sign:Taurus
Shiro Fujimoto was the adoptive father to our main character and someone who was willing to set down his own life to protect him from Satan. Though not as prevalent in the series as some of the other characters, his presence is felt throughout the show, as a guiding motivation for Rin Okumura.
Like many other Taurus, Shiro is hardworking and committed to a fault, something anyone would need to raise two kids that weren’t even his own.Shiro sometimes let his pleasure seeking nature go a bit too far, such as when he used to sleep around with many female exorcists. This is another telltale sign of a Taurus.
Gemini (May 21 ~ June 20)
Ms. Momoi
Birthday: (Fictional Headcanon)
Sign: Gemini
Ms. Momoi was the manager at the supermarket Rin worked at during the show’s beginning. In her short time, she is seen embodying the gemini traits of being very self possessed and nosy, someone who wants to always be in control. That’s how she ran her supermarket, after all. Like some Gemini, she is also seen being miserly, such as when she bought heaps of disgusting looking noodles just because they were cheap.
Cancer (June 21 ~ July 22)
Yuri Egin
Birthday: (Fictional Headcanon)
Sign: Cancer
The mother of our main protagonist, not much was known about Yuri Egin until recently. Still, the bits we did learn point to her being a Cancer. Like many other cancers, she is persistent to a fault, as evidenced by her not being fazed at all by all of Satan’s attacks, instead just wanting to empathize with him. Cancers are also incredibly caring of others, and this is apparent seeing as Yuri even goes so far as to care about most demons despite being an exorcist.
Leo (July 23 ~ August 22)
Ryuji Suguro
Birthday: August 20th
Sign: Leo
Ryuji Suguro is one of the first important side characters we see in Blue Exorcist. He is also one of the first important rivals for our main protagonist at True Cross Academy. A prodigy in his own right, Ryuji has his own reasons for wanting to take down Satan just like Rin Okumura does.
Leos are self possessed and very confident in their own ability, both traits that suit Ryuji to a fault. This is all pretty important when one’s main goal is to take down Satan. This trait however can have a darkside for many Leo’s. It is all too easy for this confidence to bleed into arrogance and stubbornness, something that happened to Ryuji Suguro too when he tried to face a Reaper all by himself.
Virgo (August 23 ~ September 22)
Yui Sakamoto
Birthday: (Fictional Headcanon)
Sign: Virgo
Yui Sakamoto was one of the first characters introduced in the anime when her life was saved by our main protagonist Rin Okumura. We don’t see much of her after that, but she embodies being a Virgo in the time we see her onscreen.
Like usual Virgos, Yui is withdrawn and shy. Like many Virgos, this leads to some people viewing her as being a little too ‘imaginative’, such as when her father said the exact same thing about her. She also has a good heart, seeing as she is kind despite constantly being bullied by demons she thinks only she can see.
Libra (September 23 ~ October 22)
Torako Suguro
Birthday: October 16th
Sign: Libra
Torako is the mother of one of our main characters Ryuji Suguro. She is a classic Libra for being extremely diplomatic to a fault. This is best seen in the fact that she can be both calm and sweet one moment, before letting her fierceness peak out whenever she deems fit.

Scorpio (October 23 ~ November 22)
Igor Neuhaus
Birthday: November 13th
Sign: Scorpio
Igor is one of the lecturers at True Cross Academy and also an Upper First Class exorcist. He embodies the Scorpio trait of being resentful and stubborn by taking out his anger of Satan out on any demon thought to be related to him. This includes Rin Okumura. He is also very complicated, seeing as how he is loyal to Mephisto, another one of Satan’s sons.
Sagittarius (November 23 ~ December 21)
Satan
Birthday: (Fictional Headcanon)
Sign: Sagittarius
Satan is the main driving force behind the plot of Blue Exorcist. He plays a key part in not only shaping many of the major characters, but is also one of the primary motivations for Rin Okumura, our protagonist.
During his many showings, Satan showed several traits more in line with a Sagittarius. For one thing, Satan displays a high level of emotional intelligence, however he uses it more to torment the people around him more effectively. A Sagittarius is known to be very independent, but in the worst cases this can lead to boredom and doing sporadic things. Satan shows it off well, especially when he says he created Rin out of ‘boredom’.
Capricorn (December 22 ~ January 19)
Yukio Okumura
Birthday: December 27
Sign: Capricorn
The twin brother to our main protagonist, Yukio Okumura plays an important part in Blue Exorcist. The son of Satan, Yukio worked hard to become an exorcist, going so far as to start his training from the age of seven. In fact, by the time the series starts, he is already an instructor at the Exorcist cram school and a Meister in both the Dragoon and Doctor class.
Yukio embodies being a Capricorn. He is usually calm, realistic and disciplined, unlike his brother and much more inline with typical Capricorn traits.
Rin Okumura
Birthday: December 27
Sign: Capricorn
It’s hard to talk about Blue Exorcist without mentioning its main protagonist Rin Okumura. Born with his twin, he also shares the same Zodiac sign. Rin doesn’t have as many strong Capricorn traits as his sibling, but he does have a few. For one thing, he is both highly ambitious and very persistent. You have to be highly ambitious to be willing to try and take on Satan, and you have to be persistent to walk the long road a journey like that will take.
Aquarius (January 20 ~ February 19)
Ukobach
Birthday: (Fictional Headcanon)
Sign: Aquarius
Ukobach is Mephisto’s familiar tasked with making Rin’s meals. He is shown as being prideful of his cooking and condescending towards people he thinks are disrespecting it. This is shown especially well when he berates Rin for using the kitchen without his permission, that quickly changed to mutual respect when he saw Rin could cook as well as he could.
Pisces (February 20 ~ March 20)
Shiemi Morimiya
Birthday: March 6
Sign: Pisces
Shiemi Morimiya was introduced early on in Blue Exorcist. Initially, she isn’t even able to walk, but thanks to some help from our protagonist Rin Okumura, the demon possessing her is soon defeated. After that, she enrolls into the Exorcist Cram School alongside him, trying to make her way in an unfamiliar world.
Pisces can be very empathetic and strive to try and do right by others. However, like in the case of Shiemi, this can be taken advantage of, since they are so easily trusting and impressionable. The same thing happened to Shiemi when Izumo took advantage of her kindness to turn her into more of a servant than a friend.
