Bell Cranel

Bell Cranel is the main character of the series. He’s a very kind individual who cares deeply for the Hestia family as well as his goddess Hestia. He considers them like his own family. Bell is very brave in the face of dangers and doesn’t hesitate to fight any opponent.

Bell became an adventurer only to create a harem of girls in his party. However, his goal shifted to becoming more like a hero later. He’s very naive and trusts people around him easily which causes troubles for him. He’s also really bad at lying and the other people right through him whenever he tries to tell a lie. Overall, Bell is a really brave and a good-natured guy.

Hestia

Hestia is the head of the Hestia Family. She’s seen to be very energetic, optimistic and cheerful throughout the series. She’s very kind to everyone. One of the best things about Hestia is that she doesn’t discriminate and treats everyone equally well. She also shows great compassion towards others. She understands others’ situations and doesn’t disregard them. Hestia has feelings for Bell and gets very jealous of every girl that gets too close to him to the point that she becomes very hostile with them. Overall, Hestia is a sweetheart and lifts up everyone’s mood around her.

Ais

Ais is the executive of the Loki family and a first class adventurer as well. Ais is shown to be a very reserved person who doesn’t like oversharing anything about her. Despite being pretty strong, Ais doesn’t have a habit of looking down on weaker people unlike the other members of her family. She wants to grow even stronger and shows great determination in order to reach her goal. Ais is interested in Bell and is willing to help him all the time. As Ais did nothing but train all her life, she lacks common sense and also doesn’t know about a lot of things. That’s her one and only weakness.

Lili

Lili is one of the members of the Hestia Family. As an adventurer, Lili used to be only a supporter which made her to be treated differently by others in every party she joined. So she ended up stealing from different parties without any regrets. Initially, she was going to be the same with Bell but his kindness changed her perspective and Lili started regretting her behavior. Lili is very sharp and intelligent when it comes to devising strategies and she acts as the brain of the family. She’s also very perceptive of her surroundings and takes action swiftly. Sometimes, Lili does appear to be cold-hearted but that’s because she’s always thinking logically.

Welf

Welf is one of the members of the Hestia Family. He appears to be a very straightforward and bold guy. Welf doesn’t like the idea of Magic Swords and doesn’t make it for anyone other than the members of the Hestia Family. He takes great pride in his skills. However, he’s not arrogant and doesn’t let his abilities get to his head.

Loki

Loki is the head of the Loki Family. Despite being a girl, Loki appears to be very tomboyish. It appears that Loki is into girls and shows great interest in Ais Wellenstein. Loki loves drinking and it’s truly her weakness. She’s also easily manipulated. Despite her laid-back nature, Loki is very sharp and intelligent. She’s quick to make decisions no matter how complicated the situation is.

Mikoto

Yamato Mikoto is one of the members of the Hestia Family. Mikoto appears to be a very serious and straightforward individual. She’s very brave and doesn’t like hiding away from her opponents. She’ll face them bravely and has the ability to slay them instantly. Mikoto is terrible at keeping secrets nor can she lie to anyone. Despite being tough, Mikoto has a softer side to her and is willing to help her family. She’s also very loyal to her family. Mikoto is a reliable and capable fighter but she doesn’t let it get to her head. She’s quite humble about herself and that’s what we absolutely love about her.

Finn

Finn acts as the captain of the Loki Family. He’s one of the smartest characters in Danmachi. He’s able to grasp complex concepts before anyone else. He’s confident about his abilities and doesn’t hesitate engaging in combat when push comes to shove. He always pushes the members of his family to do their best because he cares deeply for them. He’s very protective of the lower-ranking members as he doesn’t want to lose them. Even though he’s mostly calm, he’s also seen to be a little aggressive when the people close to him are in danger. Overall, Fin is a good-natured and intelligent guy.

Haruhime

Haruhime is one of the members of the Hestia Family. She’s a very calm, gentle and kind individual who also respects everyone around her. She lacked some excitement in her life as she led a very sheltered oneas a former member of the Ishtar Family. But now she gets excited even about the little things. Haruhime lived a lonely life and developed an affinity towards reading from a very young age. Haruhime becomes very brave when her loved ones are in danger and she’s willing to put her life at risk in order to protect them.
