Black Clover continues to amaze its fans with the never-ending reveal of the characters’ powers. And you may have compared Asta to Naruto and thought, “oh gee, maybe Asta’s the strongest…” but nope, so spoiler alert if you’re not up to date with the anime and the manga. Here’s 39+ strongest Black Clover Characters!

 

THE STRONGEST CHARACTERS OF BLACK CLOVER

 

40. Marx Francois

The man behind our Magic Emperor Julius! To be more specific, he is King Julius’ secretary. Although, he doesn’t have much screen time both in the manga and anime. One thing is for sure, this man is competent and smart!

One of his specialties in terms of his prowess is that he could use Memory and Communication Magic. In my opinion, this is a very dangerous ability to have because it could manipulate memories or see through what the person is thinking of as well as being able to communicate with other people over a long distance. 

This powerful ability was shown when he interrogated the former captain of the Purple Orca when they were trying to figure out about a traitor who is linked with the Eye of the Midnight Sun (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 56). Although his skills aren’t made for battle, this doesn’t mean that we get to underestimate him, because his skills can be made used in other ways.

 

39. Vanessa Enoteca

The Witch Queen’s favorite (more like she just wants something from her) daughter! Vanessa is a part of the Black Bulls squad of the Clover Kingdom. Since she is a witch, we can say that her powers are unique and this is why the Witch Queen wants her powers.

One good reason as to why the Watch Queen wants her is because of her Thread Magic power. This power has an ability where she can change fate called the “Red String of Fate.” This ability was highlighted during the battle between the Witch Queen and Vanessa (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 100). Even though the Witch Queen is a powerful foe because of her various kinds of magic, she still couldn’t beat her daughter, Vanessa.

That alone can be a good proof to consider that Vanessa deserves to be part of the list of the strongest characters in Black Clover!

 

38. Magna Swing

This man is so under appreciated and should be given a HUGE amount of respect! If you have heard the saying “where even one’s greatest weakness can turn into the very strength they need,” our boy Magna is the epitome of this! He really dug deep and understood his assignment!

If you think this man is weak since he only has a limited amount of magic power and is just a peasant, then my dear readers, you thought wrong! With the special skill he worked on himself for six months straight called “Secret Flame Magic: Soul Chain Death Match”, he defeated Dante, one of the Dark Triad who hosts Luciferos (Black Clover: 292-293). This part right here is enough reason to include him as part of the strongest Black Clover character!

 

37. Charmy Pappitson

The food guru in the Black Bulls! Her magic skills are Cotton-Food-Magic or just Cotton Magic. She is quite a chaotic character and probably an underdog that needs to get more attention!

One thing that we know about her is that Charmy’s magic powers come from her lineage of being a half dwarf and human hybrid. Her skills are the best when it comes to providing support to other Black Bulls members, she summons her cute little chef sheeps to cook food for her and the Magic Knights, and this food aids in restoring their mana! This was highlighted during the battle against Dante who was manifesting into Luciferos (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 314).

 

36. Zora Ideale

Here is one of the trickiest characters in the Black Clover series! If you have read the manga, you would know that he was first introduced during the Royal Knights Selection (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 112). Also, you would notice how this man is very meticulous in creating traps where his opponent (even his teammates don’t know where he puts his traps)  would least likely notice!

That is because his powers have different varieties which include Ash, Trap, and Union Magic. One of the best and most OP moments of Zora was when he and Nero fought back against Luciferos. He and Nero used Reverse Counter Trap Magic X Mana Method: Sealing Magic, this made Luciferos realize how capable humans are which provoked him (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 323).

 

35. Mimosa Vermillion

An irreplaceable healer in the Clover Kingdom! She could even heal someone who is on the brink of death! If you follow through the manga, she also has the coolest improvement in terms of her magic power through the help of the Heart Kingdom’s brutal training.

Our girl, Mimosa, was able to attain the “Ultimate Plant Magic: Flower Princess Dreamland” with that, she was able to heal Captain Charlotte, Captain Rill, and Gaja in one swoop (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 304)! In the next chapters, she was able to use that skill again in healing Captain Yami and Vice Captain Nacht who are on their deathbeds (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 330). I tell you, even though her power isn’t in line for fighting, her healing prowess is TOP TIER!

 

34. Witch Queen

The ruler of the Witches’ forest as well as the mother of all witches! Her special forte is the use of Blood, Healing, and Creation Magic. So, you probably know that she is quite a powerful witch, I mean her prowess already speaks VOLUMES. 

A scene where you would see her using all of her abilities is when she healed Asta’s busted cursed arms, where she used blood magic on Asta so she can control him and used creation magic using blood (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 84, 98). Her skills are literally one of the scariest abilities out there and did I mention that she can also foresee the future? Now you know!

 

33. Luck Voltia

A crazy Black Bull knight who constantly engages in a sparring match with Magna! Luck also possesses some elven power since he was the vessel of Lufulu (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 160). Considering that he has attained some of the residue power of Lufulu, we could say that he is quite a powerful one to boot! Even without the elves’ power, he is a force to be reckoned with!

With his speed and physical strength, he is quite challenging to fight against because of how slippery he is when escaping, and how precise his attacks are. A scene that could highlight his skills and power was when he battled against Svenskin who is part of the Spade Kingdoms Dark Triad Followers (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 248).

 

32. Secre Swallowtail

Secre Swallowtail or best known as “Nero ” since she was a former bird. She was the First Magic Emperor’s companion and they both created magic tools together (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 204). Furthermore, just like Asta, she was looked down upon by most nobles because of her unique prowess that was deemed “weak”, little did they know this power of hers is strong!

If you don’t know what her power is, it’s Sealing Magic. This is what she did to Zagred a high ranking devil, she used a Forbidden sealing magic called Noah Nephesh (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 205). In addition to that, she almost sealed Megicula using the Mana Method: Sealing Magic Eternal Prison (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 253).

Lastly, Secre proved how powerful she is when she combined her sealing magic with Zora’s trap magic together and attacked Luciferos. This proves how capable and versatile she is as a character!

 

31. Dorothy Unsworth

The sleeping beauty in the Black Clover series. Since she is literally ASLEEP throughout the entire series! Although there are times that she is awake, that happens only once in a blue moon!

Here ICONIC scenes will always be the part where she is asleep on every occasion! This Magic Knight Captain is quite strong considering that she can beat her opponents with her eyes closed! Like literally, she just brings her opponents inside her dream world and there she beats them up!

A fight scene that brings out her amazing powers is when she fought against Reve, an elf, in her “Glamour world” together with the Black Bulls members (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 185). You could see how she took advantage of her Dream Magic and made sure that her enemy would be taught a lesson!

 

30. Rill Boismortier

Our artsy Captain of the Azure Deer Magic Knights squad, Rill! A fun fact about him that would make you realize that he is a powerful person is that he is the YOUNGEST out of all Magic Knight Captains in the Clover Kingdom! Basically, this shows how apt and vast in mana our Rill is!

His (beautiful, out of this world) painting magic was highlighted during the Royal Knights Selection Exam in which he fought against other Magic Knights members as well as Yuno (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 112-133). Another scene that proves his power was when he helped increase the magic power of the knights during the battle against Megicula (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 301). That magic of his is something to be cautious of since it can create and use other elements.

 

29. Jack the Ripper

A man that looks kinda shady but in actuality, he is the Captain of the Green Mantis Magic Knights squad. Did you also know that Jack used to be a commoner? Because of his strong magic power that is on par with other nobles, he was able to make his way to the top making him a semi-noble! 

Jack was able to show off his true powers countless times in battle. But one particular fight that really highlights his immense power is when he cut through Dante’s gravity magic just by using his Slash (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 278)! That alone is a huge feat considering that Dante is a very strong enemy who had a deal with the Devil! 

Furthermore, this just proves how deserving Jack is in being called the Captain of the Green Mantis!

 

28. Nacht Faust

Our Black Bulls Vice Captain! A very mysterious man, who single-handedly infiltrated the Spade Kingdom on his own without any help! 

His skills vary from Shadow Magic to Union mMagic, plus, he also possesses four mid-ranked devils in him. You could see his full power together with Yami where they fuse their Shadow and Dark Magic together in their battle to defeat Luciferos. Nacht also used Unit Mode: Canis x Felis to unleash that full power (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 324). With that, his skills and prowess is quite dangerous and ain’t easy to beat.

 

27. Charlotte Roselei

The Captain of Blue Rose Magic Knights Squad of the Clover Kingdom! Her squad is dominated by lots of powerful and strong women in which she stands at the top of it. In addition to her strength, she also has the looks to simp for!  

One interesting aspect about Charlotte is that, due to Megicula’s curse, she was unable to employ her full strength despite achieving the title of Captain! When she confronted Vanica, she demonstrated her full potential in wielding her Briar Magic, “Briar Queen” (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 277). I tell you, you must not meddle with this woman or you will be smashed to smithereens!

 

26. Lolopechka

Lolopechka was introduced as the Princess and Ruler of the Heart Kingdom, someone who possessed a wealth of knowledge as well as her predecessors’ abilities. She boasts a wide range of magical abilities, including Water, Spirit, and Dark Water Magic (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 227). She also possesses healing skills and is in charge of her kingdom’s mana flow!

This means she can see and hear everything that goes on in her Kingdom. Her main defect is that she has been cursed by Vanica, a member of the Dark Triad. When Megicula used her curse, one of the best moments of the manga that really highlighted how powerful she was, Lolopechka’s Devil Form had emerged (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 298). Despite the fact that her powers were boosted thanks to Megicula, she was already overpowered from the start and is now even stronger!

 

25. Moris Libardirt

Another strong character that provided a huge plot twist in the entire series is Moris! This blind man is actually the host of Luciferos!

Moris is the quiet but dangerous kind of person, he specializes in the use of Gravity Magic and Modification. This was demonstrated during his fight with the Magic Knights, who were attempting to save Yami and Vengeance (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 311-312). If you have read that part of the manga, you would see how immeasurable his mana were! 

In addition to that, he is a great strategist because of how he fooled the audience into thinking that he is only interested in experiments where in fact, he made a contract with a Devil.

 

24. Nozel Silva

A cold-hearted simp for his little sister, but doesn’t show it because of some circumstances. Nozel the captain of the Silver Eagle Magic Knights and the eldest brother of Noelle. He is second to Fuegoleon as the candidate for the next Magic Emperor of the Clover Kingdom.

This nobleman’s skill is no joke considering that he has vast amounts of mana. Furthermore, his special prowess is Mercury, Reinforcement, and Creation Magic. His skills and amazing prowess was proven to be TOP TIER when he fought alongside Noelle against Megicula (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 303). 

That battle was his way in finally avenging the death of his mother that was caused by Megicula. The satisfaction I got as an audience when he used his special skill “Silver Star Execution” that was newly improved, against Megicula was truly a chef’s kiss (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 302)!

 

23. Langris Vaude

The younger brother of Finral, he is the former Vice Captain of the Golden Dawn. His main ability is Spatial Magic but he could also use Reinforcement Magic to enhance his physical abilities. If you have watched or read this series you know how scary this power is and it was already proven during the Royal Knights Selection Exam (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 127).

He was also able to use the Mana Zone during his battle with Zenon who is a member of the Dark Triad (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 305). In that battle, you could really see how his abilities are no joke, strong and powerful. Only he can create his own subspace inside Zenon’s “absolute space” which I can say, is an impressive feat for him who was fighting against a devil!

 

22. Noelle Silva

Now, here is another character in Black Clover that has amazing character development as well as an improvement of magical prowess. We could see that Noelle really did start from having a hard time in controlling her magic to making use of her power at its full potential!

Spoilers ahead, in her battle against one of the Dark Triad, Vanica, she was able to attain her strongest form yet, the “Spirit Dive: Saint Valkyrie Armor” (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 295). With this form she was able to beat Vanica (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 296). This proves how deserving Noelle to be part of this list!

 

21. William Vangeance

Captain of the Golden Dawn, and the most likely candidate to become the Clover Kingdom’s next Magic Emperor! This indicates that he can’t be easily beaten. Aside from having cool magic, he is also incredibly intelligent, having discovered that Patolli is in him (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 148).

If you follow the series, then you are aware how capable his World Tree Magic is, right? His World Tree branches can go through several lengths from absorbing mana in its surroundings to healing fellow Magic Knight members. This was most especially shown in the early parts of the series where the power Vengeance had was displayed during the battle with the Diamond Kingdoms failed invasion or declaration of war against the Clover Kingdom (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 74-77).

 

20. Rhya

A resurrected elf who was the Third Eye of The Eye of The Midnight Sun! His specialty is Imitation Magic, where he copies another person’s magic power (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 51). This power of his is kinda tricky as well as dangerous because this could be a huge disadvantage for his enemy! 

Other than Imitation Magic, he is also skilled in using Seal, Transformation, and Compound Magic (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 53, 56, 153). Since he is an elf, his magic power is above average than normal humans can attain, that is why he is part of this list. I mean, he even fought against Mereoleona! Although there aren’t any winners since they got interrupted, the thought that they fought in the same wavelengths is something to be worth considering as a strong character (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 136-138)!

 

19. Patolli

This is a dangerous elf with whom you should not mess! He defeated the Wizard King with his cleverness, manipulating skills, and overpowering magical abilities (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 145).

He is the Leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, and he shares the same body as our beloved Captain of the Golden Dawn, William Vangeance (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 141). His prowess ranges from Light, Healing, Creation, Reincarnation, and Union Magic. When he turned into a Dark elf, his powers turned into Dark Light Magic which is similar to Asta’s and Yami’s abilities (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 207).

Now, you could see why he is part of the strongest character list. If you don’t believe me, re-watch his ICONIC battle against the Wizard King and you could see how clever he is despite the disadvantage he has (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 142-145)!

 

18. Liebe

Asta’s contract devil and technically his long lost brother! He is driven by revenge in killing Luciferos because he killed Asta’s mother.

This devil is similar to Asta with his Anti-Magic, he was also looked down upon and made fun of by other devils because of his lack of magic (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 268). One thing is for sure, those devils who mocked him because he doesn’t have any magic power are actually in for a surprise. Just like Luciferos, who ridiculed Liebe and killed his mother, he got what he deserved by dying in the hands of that same Devil (well this was his Union Magic with Asta) who doesn’t have any mana (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 329).

Well, if this doesn’t scream POWER, I don’t know what will. Considering that he has beaten a high ranking devil that is part of the big three, Liebe does deserve to be part of the ranking for the strongest characters in Black Clover!

 

17. Gaja

The Spirit Guardian of the Heart Kingdom and also the guy who simps for Lolopechka! He is considered to be the Heart Kingdom’s strongest offensive mage. This is because of his unwavering loyalty for the Princess and his determination to protect her as well as the kingdom.

Considering that he is an overpowered mage, we could already conclude here that Gaja is a strong man who has a lot of experience in engaging battles. This was proven countless times in the series, but one that striked me the most is the battle against the devil form of Lolopechka. This was an emotional battle where he had to both protect as well as beat her in some way that she wouldn’t die, ahhh, pure love it is (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 294, 297, 298). 

Another scene that proved his overwhelming power was when he was fatally wounded because he was stabbed in the stomach by the devil form of Lolopechka, thus he and Luck paved a way for Noelle to attack Megicula (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 302). This proves how Gaja deserves to be part of this list of the strongest characters in BC!

 

16. Fuegoleon Vermillion

The brother of Mereoleona Vermillion and also the Captain of the Crimson Lion. He is one of the most notable characters in Black Clover, since his specialty is Fire Magic. I kid you not though, his Fire skills are almost on par with his sister’s, this means that he is quite capable of fighting a ton of enemies.

One of the most thrilling scenes that would surely rile you up with excitement is when Fuegoleon finally went out of his death bed (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 171)! He fought against a Magic Knight possessed by an Elf. He was able to show off his new found skill he attained while in deep sleep, and that is the Spirit of Fire called Salamander (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 172).

With that, you and I could agree that this man right here is a strong character in Black Clover and deserves to be part of this list!

 

15. Zagred

The first ever high-ranking devil introduced in Black Clover! This manipulative evil creature is the culprit behind the reincarnation of the entire Elf clan, but what he truly is after is to be reincarnated in the world (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 197).

This Devil’s magic abilities is fearsome because he could use Kotodama magic, which means through his speech, he could alter his surroundings (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 196). Although he lost in the battle against Asta and his gang together with the First Magic Emperor and the real Licht, he was able to prove himself as a worthy opponent with immense magic power (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 197-211)! 

 

14. Vanica Zogratis

One of the most annoying and trickiest members of the Dark Triad! As you can see, she is the reason why Noelle’s mother was cursed by Megicula, because she got lethally wounded during their battle (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 295). 

Anyways, her special prowess is Curse Magic and Blood Magic (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 252). With that, her powers have grown stronger thanks to the Devil she is hosting who is Megicula. So you can probably conclude how strong she is. I mean, she single handedly battled against Captain Charlotte, Captain Rill, Noelle, and Gaja, that’s four-versus-one (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 294-296)!

Although, she had a slight advantage since there was a Devil backing her up, but regardless of that, she is still very powerful!

 

13. Mereoleona Vermillion

One of the series’ most feared and powerful women! Even Yami and several of the Clover Kingdom commanders are terrified of her! As they should, for she is deserving of their respect and dread.

She is without a doubt one of the most powerful wizards (I said that like twice now haha) among the aristocrats. You could see and feel her passion as well as her drive to become stronger, to shoot higher than she could! This woman is the epitome of a strong, superior and powerful woman!

One of the most ICONIC scenes where you would really say that she’s soooo strong is when she single handedly defeated an ancient giant demon! YES SHE DID THAT HERSELF! She has unlocked another transition of her prowess where she was able to fully release her “Mana Zone”. With that, she used her special skill “Calidos Brachium Purgatory: Abyss” to slaughter the ancient demon (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 275).

 

12. Zenon Zogratis

Another formidable enemy in Black Clover who could use both Bone and Spatial Magic. He is part of the Dark Triad who also made a contract with a higher ranked devil in the Tree of Qliphoth named Beelzebub. Basically, he is not easy to mess with and considering that he actually reached, plus survived, a hundred percent in his devil powers proved how truly powerful he is (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 280).

Even the members of the Magic Knights were having a hard time trying to beat him up and making him lose the battle (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 310). Although he lost that fight, when you have read through every single page of the manga or watched closely in the anime it is without a doubt that Zenon is a hard foe to beat. I mean, he even beat the Captain of the Golden Dawn, William Vangeance, that speaks a lot about his overwhelming strength (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 238)!

 

11. Dante Zogratis

The leader of the Dark Triad and the host of the devil, Luciferos. He specializes in Gravity Magic and has various abilities up on his sleeves. One ability, other than Gravity Magic, that highlights his true power was his rapid regeneration (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 257)! 

Apart from him being too strong and hard to beat, this one advantage of him, aka rapid regeneration, is something to be afraid of. That alone speaks volumes about how immense and great his mana are! I mean, he even reached a hundred percent of the use of his devils powers! 

 

10. Yami Sukehiro

Our best boy, Captain Yami! It’s no wonder that he is included in this list, I mean, he has one of the most unique and strongest magic out there. With his Black Magic and swordsmanship, he could beat just about anyone!

Furthermore, we can’t deny his prowess when even the Dark Triad was after him because of his magic power (well that is because his power can open the gates of the underworld). One known fact about his Black Magic that was indicated all throughout the series is that it is very unique because it consists of darkness, and he uses that power to generate and manipulate it.

The most unforgettable moments or battles of Yami where you would see how strong he is was the clash between Yami and Dante (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 245). I tell you, if it weren’t for Zenon interrupting the fight, Dante would’ve been beaten then and there by Yami and Asta (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 260). You would be able to appreciate how powerful his black magic really is, I mean, even Spacial and Gravity magic won’t beat him!

 

9. Yuno Grinberryall

As we all know the first grimoire (Wind Magic) came from the Clover Kingdom where he grew up in (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 1). But when you read the manga, you would know that the second grimoire (Star Magic) came from the Spade Kingdom (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 308)!

If you have watched both of the anime series and read the manga, you can’t deny how OP Yuno is from the start up until the latest chapter. I mean he even beat the member of the Dark Triad, Zenon, like the satisfaction I had as a reader when I saw him being defeated was pure bliss on my part. With the use of his final attack skill, the Saint Spirit of Zephyr, Zenon got slaughtered by our Boy Yuno (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 310).

 

8. Asta

If Asta couldn’t get any more stronger with his Anti-Magic, well my dear readers, he becomes more OP as he progresses further! I mean, he now has a Devil in him, like Kurama in Naruto, where he can fuse together with him as one through Devil Union! And as what tNacht described during the battle against Luciferos, this is Asta’s “True Devil Union” with Liebe (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 327).

This means that his Devil Union with Liebe, is the truest and the most ideal form of any mage who dwells into Union Magic can attain. If you don’t know who Liebe is, he is the devil who is inside the Five Leaf Clover Grimoire that our boy Asta has (and he was mentioned in the list too). Also, I’m gonna just say it again, Liebe is technically Asta’s brother since he was taken care of by his mother. Anyways, I tell you guys, with his Devil Union with Liebe, he beat the Devil King Lucifero (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 329).

Well, of course the credit does not only go to him since there were a lot of people who helped Asta in beating the Devil. But he technically carried the whole group together with Yami, Nacht, and Yuno. Oh and let’s not forget the most ICONIC scene in the manga where he used Devil Union The Fourth Sword: “Demon Slayer” when he was trying to save Yami and Vengeance (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 316).

 

7. Licht

A Light Magic user and the first possessor of Asta’s Grimoire! Our first magic emperor Lemiel’s closest mate and the leader of the elf tribe. In Black Clover, he is also recognized as a powerful character because Elves are said to be significantly superior to humans in terms of mana.

On top of that, he is a master swordsman. It can be seen during the battle against the Devil Zagred how much of a great fighter he is. He fought alongside the First Magic Emperor and The Clover Kingdom’s Magic Knights. That part of the series was one of coolest fights because it introduced the existence of the Devils and the true power of Licht (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 201 – 212).

 

6. Lemiel Silvamillion Clover

Let us not forget the first ever Magic Emperor in the Clover Kingdom! If you have watched the anime, it was introduced how his curiosity and passion for magic paved the way for how the Clover Kingdom is now. Lemiel’s ability is Light Magic, one of the strongest magic out there.

You could see why he is part of this rank because he truly is powerful. I mean, he defeated Licht who turned into an ancient demon through creating a huge sword and using it to stab Licht (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 205). If you think about it at that time, no one else could beat that demon, even the nobles couldn’t.

 

5. Lucifugus

A mysterious high ranking devil whose powers are unknown. But one thing’s for sure, this Devil from the Tree of Qliphoth has immense magic power in him. This was proven during the Devil-Binding Ritual that Nacht did, even when his powers were suppressed during the ritual, it was still quite massive to the point that it could kill those onlookers.

Furthermore, we could say that this Devil is quite formidable considering that he massacred the entire family of Nacht. Which made Nacht to be driven with revenge in wanting to exterminate Lucifugus (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 286).

 

4. Adrammelech

I must say, this little minx of a Devil is actually quite a mystery or should I say peculiar since he hadn’t shown his true powers yet. All we know so far is that he is the Supreme Devil from the Second Layer.

If you hadn’t read the manga, Lucifero actually asked for his help to beat the other Knights so he could devour Asta. However, he did not do so, instead, all he did was spectate the event that was unfolding throughout the battle between Lucifero and the Clover Kingdom’s Knights (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 318, 322, 324, 326, and 328). After Asta and his gang beat Lucifero, you’ll be able to see that Adrammelech secured the heart of Lucifero (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 330).

Isn’t he an interesting character? I also am very curious what his power is truly considering that he is a Supreme Devil. Now the waiting game starts, we will know his true identity and power in the future updates of the manga.

 

3. Lucifero

If you’re wondering why he is included in this list, even though Asta and his gang beat him. Well, my dear readers, if you really did dwell through the manga and read carefully, it was mentioned that Lucifero is not yet in his fully manifested form during the battle with the Grand Magic Knights. 

This means that his full power wasn’t shown. But, if you have noticed, even all the Clover Kingdom’s Captain Magic Knights (this doesn’t include our boy, Vengeance, here) tried to beat him, but they had a hard time in doing so because he is THAT strong of a demon. Fortunately, he got beaten—keeping him from using his full power (comment down below if you’re also curious what’s his full potential is like), because if he really was able to manifest his true form, I believe that he is gonna be a hundred times more harder to beat (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 318).

 

2. Megicula

This cute little devil is the mastermind behind putting on a curse on Lolopechka and Noelle’s mother (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 222, 227). Megicula is a high-ranking devil who replaced Astaroth as one of the Big Three in the underworld after he suddenly disappeared (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 331).

Megicula is considered to be someone who is stronger than Zagred (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 228). Basically, this little demon’s magic power is much more enormous and deadlier. Well, that is no surprise at all because her special prowess varies from Curse-warding magic, Blood Magic, to Steel Magic (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 252, 301, 303).

A scene that highlights her immeasurable magic power was during her fight against the Clover Kingdom’s Magic Knights (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 297-303). Although she lost that fight, we all could agree that she is quite a formidable opponent that is very hard to beat!

 

1. Julius Novachrono

If you have read the manga or have seen the spoilers, well my dear readers, our precious Wizard King of the Clover Kingdom (yes he is precious and adorable) is actually…a Devil! If you heard the saying ‘the Devil disguised as an Angel’ then this is it ya’ll! 

To those who aren’t aware of the latest updates of Black Clover, in the manga, Damnatio said that in the underworld there are three who ruled over it. The first one is “Lucifero” aka Satan, who uses Gravity Magic. The Second one is “Beelzebub” who uses Spatial Magic and lastly, the original third devil was one who suddenly vanished and used Time Magic named “Astaroth”, aka Lucius Zogratis (Julius real name). With that, I bet you know how this goes along after that (Black Clover Manga: Chapter 331).

As you have noticed, in the entire series, the only person known that has Time Magic is Julius and nobody knows what his Grimoire really looks like up until the latest chapter. So technically, he is by far one of the scariest and deadliest enemy out there in Black Clover. I mean, he has Time Magic and we don’t know what other hidden powers he has up on his sleeves!

 

Conclusion

Black Clover definitely has a lot to offer with its characters and their abilities—especially these 40 characters… like hello? 40?
