Sk8 the Infinity gained immense popularity as soon as it came out in January and took the anime community by storm because of it’s phenomenal animation and unique storyline. Fans were definitely wanting to get some news from the creators and were highly anticipating more content like Sk8 the Infinity.

Announcement at Sk8 The Masquerade of Love event
“Sk8 The Masquerade of Love” event announced on Sunday, June 4, that a new anime project is currently being worked on. It was also announced that a two part stage-play named “Sk8 the Play” is also under production.

The stage-play is said to debut in December 2021. However, the second part for the stage-play will open in January 2022.
Sk8 the Infinity is an original anime series that aired from January 2021 to April 2022. It is produced and animated by Studio Bones who have also animated anime like Full Metal Alchemist and Ouran HighSchool Club.
Sk8 The infinity plot
The series revolves around a group of skaters who are obsessed with the sport. Reiki is one of the main characters who takes part in a secret competition named “S” and competes with a bunch of other Skaters.
Langa is the other main character who gets involved with Reki and ends up skating with him and taking part in the competition at the tournament “S”. Langa has no prior experience with skating but is naturally really good at it.
Both Reki and Langa train together and bring the best out of each other while also getting along with a bunch of other Skaters. However, all of them have a single goal, to be the winner of the mysterious tournament that is run by a mysterious man.
Final Verdict
The series that featured 12 episodes set the bar high for the anime sharing the same genre. We’re expecting the creators to grace us with an anime as amazing as Sk8 the infinity. Not to mention the stage-play hype, we’re really excited about the two projects!
