Mushoku Tensei is an animated series adapted from a Japanese Light Novel by Rifujin na Magonote. It was originally uploaded on the internet web novel website named Shousetsuka ni Naro. It was illustrated by Shirotaka a year later when it was announced that the web novel would receive a print release. The animated series was officially released on January 10, 2021. It was produced by Egg Firm and led by Studio Bind. There are a total of 23 episodes for the first season. However, the first season is split into two cours. The first cour with a total of 11 episodes was aired between January 10, 2021 and March 21, 2021.
The second cour will be released in July 2021. Mushoku Tensei involves the story of a 34-year-old Neet who died while saving a stranger from getting hit by a truck. He gets reincarnated as a newborn baby named Rudeus Greyrat to a magical World. He is aware of most things as he possesses the brain of an adult while having the body of a baby. Rudeus is seen as a prodigy by others because of his genius intellect. Now, starting a new life in a different World, Rudeus will explore each and everything around him, gain experience and live his life to the fullest. Let us introduce you to the characters of Mushoku Tensei without further ado.

Main Characters
Rudeus Greyrat
Rudeus Greyrat is the protagonist of the series and a 34-year old good-for-nothing Neet who got reincarnated as a newborn baby in a fantasy world. As he has the brain of an adult, he learns the ways of the new world quickly and is able to wield some magic as well.
Rudeus is humble and grateful for everything he has in his new life as his past life was not very pleasant. He remains careful all the time, not to get cocky about his achievements at such a young age. Rudeus is seen to be naughty around almost all the female characters of the series, be it his teacher, Roxy, or his cousin, Eris. Rudeus has the potential to fight elite class monsters but he still shys away from getting involved with them as he does not have the confidence. Rudeus is very polite with others and is everyone’s favourite.
Roxy Migurdia
Roxy Migurdia is a very talented mage from the Migurd tribe. Back home, she was unable to communicate with other people of her tribe using telepathy and that is why she decided to leave and travel around. Roxy joined the Adventure Guild to earn her some money and later enrolled at the Ranoa Magic Academy.
She became a Water Saint after graduating and was hired by Rudeus’ parents, Paul and Zenith as a tutor for Rudeus. She helped Rudeus learn magic for two years before continuing travelling again. She later became the teacher of Pax, the prince of Shirone kingdom. She kept writing letters to Rudeus when she moved away from his house.
Sylphiette
Sylphiette belongs to the elf/beast race and is half-human, half-elf. She was always bullied for belonging to a mixed race and having pointy ears and green hair. Rudeus was the one who saved her from the bullies and became friends with her.
When the teleportation incident took place, Sylphiette got teleported to the Royal Palace. Her hair turned white from green. At the Royal Palace, she saved princess Ariel who was third in line to become the queen of Asura. Sylphiette later became Ariel’s bodyguard under the fake name and identity of “Fitts”. She enrolls at Ranoa Magic Academy and impresses everyone by using voiceless incantations.

Eris Boreas Greyrat
Eris is the distant cousin of Rudeus and belongs to a family of nobles. She acts like a spoiled brat and is very violent towards others. She was supposed to be taught by Rudeus but she disregarded her father’s decision and was not happy about it at all. She didn’t like the fact that Rudeus was younger than her and she was supposed to be learning from him. After using a lot of tactics, Rudeus was successful in getting her interested in learning from him.
After the teleportation incident, Eris was transported to a Demon Continent along with Rudeus. There they meet a Demon named Ruijerd and form a party with him. While slaying monsters and demons, Eris, Rudeus and Rijerd travel towards the Central Continent.
Paul Greyrat
Paul Greyrat is the father of Rudeus Greyrat and the husband of Zenith Greyrat. He later gets involved with Lilia, his maid, making her pregnant with his child, Aisha while Zenith was pregnant with Norn. Paul used to be a very lustful man who loved sleeping around until he got married to Zenith who controlled him to some extent.
Paul belonged to the noble family of the Asura Kingdom and was a very talented swordsman. After having an argument with his father, Paul decided to leave and decided to become an adventurer. He formed a party named Fangs of the Black Wolf and married Zenith who was also a member of that party.
Paul’s family got lost following the teleportation incident. After that Paul got depressed until he was reunited with Rudeus.
Zenith Greyrat
Zenith Grerat is the mother of Rudeus and Norn, and the wife of Paul Greyrat. Zenith decided to become an adventurer just like Paul, rebelling her parents and leaving her home with strict rules and regulations. She stayed a solo adventurer as a healer for a long time before saving Paul’s life and joining his party. She eventually fell in love with Paul and married him afterwards. After getting pregnant with Rudeus, Zenith and Paul decided to leave the party as adventurers, moving to the countryside and settling down there.

Liliaa Greyrat
Lilia Greyrat was formerly a classmate of Paul in a swordsman dojo. After getting injured, she discontinued her job as a princess guard and became a maid to Paul and Zenith. It is later revealed that Pauled cheated on Zenith with Lilia, making her pregnant with his child, Aisha. She became a second wife to Paul afterwards.
Lilia never liked Rudeus and always considered him creepy as she saw Roxy’s panties in his box. She later started becoming soft towards him as Rudeus made Paul take all the blame when she was the one who seduced him. She gave birth to Aisha hours after Norn was born. After giving birth to Aisha, Lilia devoted herself to the Greyrat family by continuing her services as a loyal maid.
Ghislaine Dedoldia
Ghislaine Didoldia belongs to the beast race and is a very skillful swordswoman. She serves the Boreas household and is Eris’ mentor. She learns reading and writing from Rudeus and teaches him sword fighting in return.
Ruijerd Superdia
Ruijerd Superdia belonged to the Superd race and used to be the leader of the Superd’s Warrior Group. They served under Laplace that manipulated them and ruined their reputation all around the World.
Ruijerd takes care of Rudeus and Eris when they get teleported and swears that he will get them home safe and sound. He also wishes to clear up misunderstandings regarding his race.

Aisha Greyrat
Aisha Greyrat is the younger half-sister of Rudeus and Norn Greyrat. She’s very mature for her age and is very cunning. She often gets competitive with Norn and is hungry for attention as she’s an illegitimate child of Paul.
Almanfi
Almanfi is the loyal servant spirit summoned by Pergius Dola. He takes great pride in being one of Pergius’ servants.
Ariel Anemoi Asura
Ariel Anemoi Asura is the second princess of the Asura Kingdom and third in line to become the Queen of Asura. She went to Ranoa Magic Academy and maintained very good grades.
Ars Greyrat
Ars Greyrat is the first son of Rudeus Greyrat and Eris Greyrat. He appears to be more like Eris than Rudeus.
Atoferatofe Raibaku
Atoferatofe belongs to the Demon Clan and is the Demon Lord of the Demon Continent. She was the wife of the First North God.
Auber Corvette
Auber Corvette, also known as “Peacock Sword”, is one of the Three Swords of the North God. He helped train Eris as told by the Sword God, Gal Farion.
Badigadi
Bidagadi is the Demon Lord that grants wisdom. He is one of the oldest people present in the series as he is said to be alive even before the Laplace war.
Benedict Kingdragon
Benedict Kingdragon is the wife of Pax Shirone and was the 18th princess of the Kingdom of Kingdragon.
Blaze
Blaze was an adventurer of a B rank party named “Super Blaze “and was the leader of that party.
Bloody Kant
Bloody Kant is Roxy Miguard’s first teacher and is also an S rank adventurer.
Christina Greyrat
Christina Greyrat is the daughter of Rudeus Greyrat and Eris Greyrat and is the younger sister of Ars Greyrat.
Claire Latreia
Claire Latrei is the conservative mother of Zenith and Therese. She’s a very stubborn lady and disregards everyone’s opinion.
Cliff Grimoire
Cliff Grimoire is the friend of Rudeus and the son of the current Pope of Milis.
Clive Grimoire
Clive Grimoire is the son of Cliff Grimoire and the grandson of the current pope of Milis.
Dale
Dale was a B rank adventurer and was also in the same party as Roxy. He died while completing an A rank quest.
Darius Silva Ganius
Darius is a man of fat stature and is the first Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Asura.
Dark King Vita
Dark King Vita was one of the apostles of Hitogami and an enemy of Death God Lexus. He’s a slime-like creature and belongs to a glutinous race.

Derrick Redbat was the bodyguard of Princess Ariel before Fitts and was an S ranked adventurer.
Doga
Doga is the husband of the current Water Goddess named Isolte Cruel and is a North Emperor. He was born in a province of the Asura Kingdom.

Dotbath is the servant spirit of Periguis that he summoned along with eleven others.
Edward Anemoi Asura
Edward Enemoi Asura is the son of Ariel Anemoi Asura. He is also the love interest of Christina Asura, the daughter of Rudeus and Eris.
Elinalise Dragonroad
Elinalise Dragonroad is one of the members of the “Fangs of The Black Wolf”. She is a 200+ year old elf and a skilled warrior.
Gadalf Rangid
Gadalf Rangid was an adventurer from Milis. Roxy comes across Gadald in Milis.
Gal Farion
Gal Farion is Eris’ Master and is the Sword God. He is a very skilled swordsman who believes to have achieved the position of the Sword God by using rational methods and intense training.

Isolte Cruel is the wife of Doga and is a Water Goddess. She’s also the granddaughter of the late Water God, Reida.
Jalil
Jalil belonged to the Demon Race and was a temporary member of the party “Dead End”.
Jino Britts
Jino Britts is the current Sword God and a husband of Nina Farion. He is the youngest Sword God in history.

Jirou is a monster that is adopted by Rudeus Greyrat.
