Appearance

Tsumiki Fushiguro Appearance

Tsumiki Fushiguro is a beautiful woman with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has a long ponytail and long bangs on both sides of her face. We see Tsumiki Fushiguro sometimes in the anime as Megumi’s memories. There, we saw her childhood days with a red bag pack and blue dress, trying to watch over Megumi.

Then we see her during her middle school days, wearing a light brown-colored school uniform with a red tie and a navy-blue skirt. Even then she was trying to look over Megumi. As a big sister, she has been portrayed as caring in Megumi’s memories.

Personality

Personality

As a big sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro has often shown care and affection towards Megumi. But as they are not blood-related, their bond always seemed to be weak no matter what she did.

She often came off as cold and strict but it was only for Megumi’s good. She wanted Megumi to stop hurting people around him. It’s sad that it had to come to a curse that put Tsumiki Fushiguro into a coma to make Megumi finally realize her affection.

Strengths and Skills

Currently, we know nothing about Tsumiki Fushiguro’s strengths and skills. But we assume since Tsumiki is part of the Fushiguro family, she might have the compatibility to become a Jujutsu Specialist. You never know, she might show us some powers from her mother’s side of the family.

Facts

  • Tsumiki’s surname has the kanji for bend down and black. Her first name on the other hand contains the word Port, beautiful, and chronicle.
  • Her name Tsumiki means moon-viewing in Japanese.

Past/History

Tsumiki fushiguro

Tsumiki Fushiguro’s past is very clouded as of now and we do not know what happened in the past. But what we do know is that Tsumiki studied in elementary school when her mother married into the Fushiguro family

She married Toji Fushiguro and became a part of Megumi’s life. But for some unknown reason, their parents disappeared from Tsumiki and Megumi’s life. Tsumiki and Megumi, both studied in Saitama Urami East Junior High. Before Megumi became a badass Jujutsu specialist, he was a rather trouble maker. ( Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 59)

So, Tsumiki often had to check on Megumi and straighten him up. During her time at Saitama Urami East Junior High, she and some of her friends visited Yasohachi Bridge to do a dare. As a result, she and her friends were cursed and went into a coma. Later on, many other victims were found near the area. (Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 55)

Affilitations

We have been shown some of her school friends but not much about them has been revealed yet. Maybe in the future, we might know what actually happened with her friends.

Relationships

Megumi Fushiguro

Currently, we do not know if she was in any relationships or not. But when Aoi Todo asked Megumi about what his type was, Megumi thought about his sister

So, Megumi might have a sister complex. But it’s not confirmed.

But in general, we do know that she is the step-sister of Megumi and the step-daughter of Toji Fushiguro.

We also know, she wasn’t a loner and had lots of friends. But because of the bridge curse shown in the anime and manga, some of her friends are dead.

Plot

Masamichi Yaga

Investigation of Yasohachi Bridge

During the investigation of Yasohachi Bridge, some people died due to a curse. Megumi puts two and two together just to get a hunch that Tsumiki’s curse might be connected to the bridge curse

He realized Tsumiki might have gone under the cursed bridge just like the victims. Megumi panics and requests a guard to stay on watch for her sister 24/7. We are also told by this time that the curse Tsumiki is fighting is some sort of a time-related curse that only attacks when the victim is at a certain age.

Later on, some progression in the story happens and we are introduced to Pseudo-Geto, who said he had already marked Tsumiki Prior to the events at Shibuya. He also had cast Idle Transfiguration on her. (Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 136)

Now she is marked with the cursed energy whose end result will be similar to Junpei

All this happens in front of Megumi and now he is conflicted with whether to save his friend or to save his sister. Right now, we just know that Tsumiki wakes up later on during a big fight but nothing big has been revealed yet.

Finally, Tsumiki Fushiguro is and will always be a supporting character that will be used to further character development of Megumi Fushiguro. Besides that, I hope this brother-sister duo has a rather happy ending and a big family reunion in the end. So, will Megumi be able to beat Sukuna? Is Megumi secretly a sis-con? How will Megumi release Tsumiki’s curse? I guess we anime-only people will just have to wait for the next season.
