Code Geass Storyline

Lelouch Lamperouge is the main character in Code Geass. It’s the year 2010 and Japan is conquered by the Holy Britannian Empire. Being forced into submission, Japan has no choice but to give up. Like a lot of other Anime MCs, Lelouch decided to rebel against the submission, resulting in a near-death experience. However, that was the turning point for our good ol’ MC.

Lelouch was BLESSED with the power of Geass by a girl known as C.C. This power was Godly. Lelouch quickly realized that he was easily able to control anyone with just eye contact. That sounds like my childhood wish! Now, Lelouch must face adversity to protect everyone and create a world filled with peace and no wars. Can he do that? You can find out by watching!

2. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

Episodes: 26-50

Duration: 24 minutes

R2 is the second season of Code Geass. The story continues after Lelouch finds out that he’s got an epic power to control anyone. Well, that’s like some sort of a Dark Power at this point. It incorporates the coup by Black Knights that was led by Lelouch himself. However, the ending was even darker than Lelouch’s power. He got captured and brainwashed by the enemies. This season has no fillers at all.

Just like the first season, R2 also has 25 episodes that are around 24 minutes in length.

3. Code Geass: Akito the Exiled

Akito the Exiled

Episodes: 51-55

Duration: 24 minutes

In Akito the Exiled, the E.U gets involved and the Japanese work with them to fight Britannia. This is an OVA but it also gets somewhat into the storyline so it was important for me to write this one down. With intense brainpower, unmatchable action, and flawless animation, you’re getting all of it in this 5 episode OVA

Ep. Episode Title Date Type
51 The Wyvern Arrives July 16, 2012 Canon
52 The Wyvern Divided September 14, 2013 Canon
53 The Brightness Falls May 2, 2015 Canon
54 Memories of Hatred May 4, 2015 Canon
55 To Beloved Ones February 6, 2016 Canon

Are there any fillers in Code Geass?

You might be surprised to hear this but there are no direct fillers in Code Geass. However, there are some episodes that can be considered borderline fillers. For example, in the R1 season, Episode 21 is almost filler but it does not count since it’s really important for the story.

On the other hand, the R2 season’s Episode 12 is also filler, however, there are some events that will be quite important in the coming episodes. It’s all fun and games in episodes like these until Lelouch starts to show his Geass and manipulate others. (Just kidding). But that’s about it. THERE ARE NO FILLERS IN CODE GEASS! Do you feel me?
