The readers have all their questions answered while you are still impatiently waiting for the good stuff to arrive.
Will Nezuko turn back into a human? Will the Demon Slayers manage to end Muzan’s reign of terror? Will Zenitsu ever get a girlfriend? Well, when the series hit the 200th episode, another critical question actually surfaced.
The fans were already wrecked by the tornado of emotions offered by the manga when the most mind-blowing plot twist hit them right in the face.
Oh, just let me warn you right here, right now, what will be following will be filled with spoilers. As I know you are not here by coincidence, I believe you are ready to handle the consequences of your actions, right?
Kimetsu no Yaiba fans have had a difficult time with the most recent chapters. The distress we are experiencing is indicative of the profound impact of these recent events, and the anticipated resolution of Muzan’s defeat was paired with unsettling narrative surprises.
As a result, fans were left uncertain about Tanjiro’s ultimate fate – whether he would succumb to death or undergo a transformation into a demon. Ultimately, both outcomes were realized, providing closure to this dramatic series of events..To make it short, it is both a YES and a NO, but how you might ask. Well, read on and find out the most important details!
WHAT EPISODE DOES TANJIRO DIE?
Background

We are in the midst of the final battle against Muzan, the Infinite Castle Arc. Most of the Hashira’s already met their end at the hands of the fearsome Demon King who is now personally fighting for his life.
Their chances at victory look grim, however, let’s not forget that it’s when all hope is lost that the hero manages to pull the impossible.
The main protagonist VS the main antagonist, Tanjiro VS Muzan, is the moment of truth guys, will Tanjiro survive the battle?

Don’t go saying yes without thinking it through, while most manga tends to have a happy ending, there are some exceptions and Demon Slayer may get a Finale as gruesome as Attack on Titans.
One of the latest battles of the anime universe is undergoing, both fighters are going all out, however, it is obvious that one of them has the upper hand.
An overpowered demon that can endlessly regenerate against a mortal human, sounds like a cheat to me! But that human isn’t normal, to say the least. That human has a huge hidden potential.
Tanjiro ultimately perished due to the injuries inflicted during his intense battle against Muzan, which were further aggravated by his frequent use of the Sun Breathing methods. Despite the potency of his techniques, Muzan remained unimpressed by them. He even had the audacity to insult them, eventually triumphing over Tanjiro until the arrival of dawn.
Will this battle be Tanjiro’s last?

While we already knew that Tanjiro was OP, Muzan only discovered that fact when he absorbed the boy’s body into his own. And he got a great idea in the process, and I’ll tell you what that genius move was in a sec.
So, the enemies are exchanging blows, and Tanjiro is suffering injuries after injuries, however, before he got the “Coup de Grace”, he managed to claim the Demon King’s head! I don’t wanna go into too many details so you can still get shocked by some awesome unexpected stuff when the time comes.
Yup, Muzan is dead, they won, or at least that’s what they all think. Bleeding from every corner of his body, Tanjiro cannot be saved, as he was drawing his last breath with a satisfied smile on his face, something happened inside his body.

The sneaky Demon King had previously transferred his soul inside the boy, that was the great idea I was talking about, it was his plan B in case the worst happened, and it did.
With Tanjiro’s death, the Demon King’s soul kicks in and he was instantly reborn. Tanjiro’s body is alive, however, his soul is nowhere to be found. In that state would you consider him gone or not? (Demon Slayer Manga: Chapter 201)
Well, I’ll spare you the trouble, that’s not a question we will have to argue over since the author planned yet another plot twist inside the plot twist.

There was no way in hell Tanjiro’s allies were going to let Muzan get his way so easily. In a desperate attempt, Kanao injected Tamayo’s medicine into Tanjiro’s, the same medicine that turned Nezuko back into a human.
Yes, sorry, maybe that was not a piece of information you wanted to be disclosed right now, but I did warn you that you’ll have many spoilers and I never said that the spoilers would only reflect the topic, for my defense. So, Nezuko is now a mortal, and she can talk again by the way. That’s why we have a bunch of Nezuko’s emotional quotes for you!
Okay, we went sideways again, so where were we? Oh, yes, Tanjiro got a shot and at the same time, you could hear his loving sister calling his name, hugging him with all her might. She was trying to reach his will, his consciousness with her voice, calling back the human that was dormant in his own body.
And it worked, he woke up, and thus came back to life. He regained control of his body, however, Muzan was not completely out yet (Demon Slayer Manga: Chapter 203)

It was only when he overpowered him that he managed to shut him down, turn back into a human, and this time, it was truly over, Muzan was gone for good, and all the demons followed him to his grave. But even in death, the question remains: who do you think is the strongest demon in Demon Slayer?
To tell the truth, Muzan did him a favor, he healed him, and saved his life. He should thank him for the kind gesture.
At that point, it was confirmed, in the flashback that we previously saw in the chapters, we came to the conclusion that Tanjiro and Kanao got married and had kids, we could see a glimpse of their descendants’ lives in the far future, turns out, it was not just a reflection of their hopes and dreams, it was the truth.
Conclusion

That was one special fairy tale ending we got here. In between all the deaths, all the blood that was spilled, all the heartbreak, and the pain that we felt as our favorite characters were taken out of the show in the cruelest of ways, there is one thing that ended on a very good note. Finished the manga? Why not re-watch the anime? Our watch order guide is waiting for you!
If you wanna know what happens next, I can give you some hints. All the people that are still alive and kicking got everything they wished for.
They are living a happy and fulfilled life knowing that together they created a world where the people that they love can live peacefully without ever having to look over their shoulders, a world where the Demon Slayers were not needed anymore.
I am sure that their mentors, their comrades, and all the people who gave up their lives in the fights against the demons are now able to rest in peace knowing that their sacrifices were not in vain, or maybe they will decide to stick around to look over there little protégé a little bit more like they have been doing all this time, who knows….
