Kimetsu Tv, New information announcement special
It was announced on the Official Demon Slayer Twitter Account that a special by the name of “Kimetsu Tv, New Information Announcement Special” will be broadcasted on July 13 on the youtube channel of Aniplex and ABEMA TV at 7:00 PM (Japan Time).

The broadcast will introduce us to the voice actors of Tanjiro Kamado (Natsuki Hanae) and Tengen Uzui (Katsuyuki Konishi), the Sound Hashira who is going to be an essential part of the next arc, Yoshiwara Entertainment District Arc.

Demon Slayer Season 2
The second season will focus on Tengen Uzui and his mission in the Yoshiwara District. Tanjiro and his team will travel to the district and help the Sound Hashira in his mission. The official Demon slayer USA twitter account posted a teaser video for the upcoming season 2 on July 5. Therefore, it is confirmed that season 2 for Demon Slayer will come out this year.

Demon Slayer Background
Demon Slayer was written and created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Demon Slayer Manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine from February 15, 2016 to May 18, 2020. It featured a total of 23 volumes. The first season for Demon Slayer was broadcasted between April 2019 and September 2019 which was a huge success all around the world.
We also got a sequel movie for Demon Slayer in October 2020 that became the highest grossing film in Japan’s Box Office history and the highest grossing anime film throughout the world, making $477+ at the worldwide box office.
The first stage play for Demon Slayer premiered in January 2020 in Tokyo. On May 30, 2021, a poster for the second part of the stage play was revealed. It will be performed in the summer of 2021.
Final Verdict
With the first season being such a huge success, we can’t wait how the second season will turn out. We will be introduced to a bunch of new and interesting characters. The story of the sound hashira, Tengen Uzui will definitely be an exciting one.
With the announcement of a new broadcast, we are sure to have the second season by the end of this year. Season 2 will be Akira Matsushima, directed by Haruo Sotozaki, and produced at Ufotable.
