Well hello there! Today, I am going to be your host and I am going to introduce you to the wonderful and comedic characters of “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid.”

As expected, you are going to meet many marvelous characters of the series and going to learn about their personality ties and their role in the series. So, let’s dive into the vast world filled with dragons, maids, Big oppais, love, magic, and comedy with me, your friendly anime guide.

Popular Characters
Kobayashi
Kobayashi san is the protagonist of the series. She works at Jigokumeguri System Engineering Inc along with Makoto and Elma. We know very little about Kobayashi’s past, as her childhood was not so filled with delightful memories.
Both her parents were hardworking and too busy that they didn’t even show up at her school festivals, which caused her to get interested in maids. We also know that she had an extreme liking for hamburgers as a kid.
If we talk about her personality, she has a cool, kind-hearted, practical, and mature nature. We often see her as the most reliable person. All these traits cause her to be one human that can go toe to toe in reasoning with a dragon.
One unique view is that when she gets drunk, she becomes rowdy and aggressive for maids and even her hatred toward big oppais comes out as she is a flat-screen.

Tohru
Tohru is the maid dragon who lives with Kobayashi. Tohru was raised to hate humans and think that they are inferior and foolish, which becomes the reason for her initial hate and anger toward humans as members of the chaos faction. Desperate to kill and destroy humans, she has fought countless battles.
As time passes, she becomes troubled by these constant battles and leads a suicidal mission to fight a God. During this, she meets a Bandit girl who makes her aware of the maid, and soon during suicide, she gets badly hurt, (literally, a sword pierces her) forcing her to flee to Kobayashi’s world where she meets a drunk Kobayashi.
After talking to Kobayashi and getting help from her, she falls in love with her and lives with her as a maid. As time passes, she becomes cheerful and friendly toward humans, a maid filled with all housewife abilities and a motherly figure to Kanna.
Even as a dragon, she gets accepted by Kobayashi, which causes her to fall even more in love with her. As her life continues with Kobayashi, she tries to seduce her and live a peaceful, happy life rather than returning to her world.
As of her appearance, they showed her wearing a classic maid outfit with a tail coming out. When asked her oppai size she answered it is D-cup for Dragon size. In her dragon form, she is more of a classic medieval 1800s dragon with green scales.
Kanna Kamui
Before getting started, beware of the loli cuteness. Kanna Kamui, daughter of Kimun Kamui, is the second dragon living with Kobayashi.
She is a very young dragon who, when transformed into a human, appears to have the body of a middle schooler as all dragons. She has her horns and a tail which looks like a socket to get electricity recharge (electricity company Stonks).
As for her past, we know her family cast her out for pulling pranks, causing her to live alone. She sees Tohru as a role model in the dragon world, so when Tohru leaves the dragon world, Kana went along with her.
When she found out Tohru is living with Kobayashi, she accuses Kobayashi that she has seduced Tohru but as time passes, the parental bond between Kobayashi and Kanna increases as she rejects the off leaving Kobayashi and starts living with her.
In Kanna’s life, one major part is Riko. Initially, Riko sees Kanna as a rival, but later she develops a kind and sweet romantic feeling towards Kanna.
Supporting characters
Quetzalcoatl
Quetzalcoatl or Lucoa is the fan favorite and artist’s dream character so much that they even referred to her as a *Censord* woman in the anime episode 21. As of her past, we were told that she is an Ex-Goddess in the dragon world exiled from her seat because of her scandalous affair of taking alcohol.
In her human form, she is a blonde, voluptuous woman with the past title of Sugoi dekai, but now it is taken by Ilulu (personal thoughts). She has Heterochromia, which causes her one eye to be blue and one to be green as a dragon, she is the biggest in anime and manga resembling Quetzalcoatl of Mayan (coincidence? I think not).
She is the most powerful dragon in the entire anime, so far as literally a goddess. She is wise, relaxed, and easygoing because of her being a former goddess. She knows quite a lot about humans as well. Despite all of this, she also has a flirtatious nature as they often show her using her body to get what she wants.
She is living with Shouta right now, who has been constantly teased by her using her body. We have seen her forcing Shouta to take a bath with her. Even on the beach, she tries to show off her sensual body to Shouta by wearing a skimpy string bikini, causing Shouta to think of her as a succubus or demon.
Fafnir
Fafnir is the curse dragon currently living as Makoto Takiya’s roommate. They have shown not so much about his past life, but we know that in his world, he lives in a cave protecting his treasure.
They do not show Fafnir interacting with either humans or dragons that much. He just minds keeping his treasure secure. We know that he is quite a powerful dragon who specializes in curses. His curse power level is over 9000!!!.
Fafnir doesn’t trust and like humans as we have constantly seen him attacking his treasure, but after living with Takiya, his life has gone through drastic changes. He has established many friendly relations but still he likes to live a shut-in neet otaku life. Fafnir is hardworking as we see him many times doing all-night gaming.
Elma
Elma is the best dragon in the series (my thoughts). She is a member of the Harmony faction and a long old rival of Tohru who comes to earth to fight Tohru, but then gets stuck and cannot return. She adopts the name Elma to live on earth.
We saw her very determined in anime and manga many times as she tries to bring Tohru back to dragon world but won’t be able to do so. Despite being just as strong as Tohru, she can’t go back.
Elma’s nature can be indecisive many times as shown that she can’t decide which ice cream combo to buy. But even with all of this, she has a gluttonous trait as she eats any sweet from cream bread to hashbrown to waffles and custard.
Because of this, we have seen her getting easily persuaded to do things that are even forbidden in harmony by faction rules. We often see this gluttonous nature when she eats till her savings run out.
Riko Saikawa
Riko is Kanna’s friend and classmate, she is the younger sister of Georgie. Riko is introduced as the Rival of Kanna as we see on the first day of Kanna’s class, she tries to fight Kanna, who responds by crying, causing Riko to feel bad. Later, we see Riko getting saved by Kanna as the series progresses, their bond deepens and we see them in a relationship like Kobayashi and Tohru.
As for her personality, she is very polite and kind. She also likes Kanna and whenever she is praised or touched by Kanna, her face becomes red, filled with joy and over-excitement.
A
Azad
Starting from “A” we have Azad who debuted in manga chapter 69 (nice.) He is a bloody b* filled with hate for dragons up to the brim. He works for Lumineis as a spy agent of Harmony Faction to spy on Kimun Kamui of the Chaos faction.
He started his career by killing chaos dragons. Azad has vast powers, like instant teleportation. He also wields a holy sword and shield and also has a power stone that can control several dragons.
As of his past, we only know that as a child, he saw his family, village, and his only sister die, which drove him to madness and caused him to find happiness to watch a dragon die.
B
Bandit Girl
Bandit Girl, as we know, is one of the most important characters in Tohru’s life. She was the final human Tohru met in her world. Bandit girl plays a major role in Tohru’s life as, because of her, the ideology of a maid comes to Tohru.
As for the Bandit girl, she is a free nature and talkative girl. She first encountered Tohru when Tohru was hiding in ruins. The bandit girl was on the run because she attacked a nobleman.
Showing no interest in her, Tohru tries to kill her but the Bandit girl dodges every attack later she stays with Tohru where she tells Tohru that if she got the same freedom as Tohru, she can choose to become a maid.
As it’s revealed that the Bandit girl gets freedom in the end, which she is talking about, and lives as a maid.

Bandit Girl
A side character in the series. She is the daughter of a big company owner. We mostly see her being saved by Kanna from kidnapping. Later revealed that she has run away from home, thus Kanna helps Chole to get back to her home in Minnesota.
Clemene
Bandit Girl, as we know, is one of the most important characters in Tohru’s life. She was the final human Tohru met in her world. Bandit girl plays a major role in Tohru’s life as, because of her, the ideology of a maid comes to Tohru.

D
Damocles
Damn-ocles (Damocles) is a big bulkier red scale-covered dragon. When he is in his human form, he is a short height human with grey hair. He is the antagonist in the first season of the anime; he is also the father of Tohru, commonly known as Emperor of Demise.
He is a super-powerful dragon filled with immense power exceeding the power of Tohru and Fafnir, one of the strongest dragons in the series.
Damocles despises humans and thinks of them as weak inferior beings who are evil and filled with cold and grave hate toward humans; he still follows the non-interference laws that forbid dragons from killing humans.
But when Kobayashi is with her daughter, he attacks Kobayashi and threatens her, he will kill her. But he deeply cares for her daughter’s happiness and safety. He returns and lets her daughter live as a human while warning her this will bring war on earth.
G
Georgie Saikawa
Georgie Saikawa is the older sister of Riko Saikawa. Although her real name is Nae Saikawa, her passion and hobby to become a maid made her an alter ego called Georgie Saikawa An alter ego so strong that she has even forgotten her real name.
Georgie’s overall personality is of a gentle lady who is always available to help Riko. As previously mentioned, her passion for maids comes from when she was a child and reads a book about a maid. Because of this, her knowledge is quite overwhelming.
I
Illulu
Ilulu, the third dragon living with Kobayashi, is a member of the chaos faction. Recently appearing in anime, her appearance made a great wave of joy in the anime community.
As for her human form, she has a Sugoi dekai oppai similar or same as Lucoa in that department as expected; she has her dragon horns as other dragons have them too.
BTW Fun Fact: they stated that in anime and manga that the more big oppai of a dragon is the more firepower they have.
Carrying on Ilulu prior to living with Kobayashi has been a very sad, only war and fighting based life, As we are told that she was once a very peaceful dragon who loves to live with humans but after an attack by humans in which her parents die, she developed hatred towards humans.
Her initial reason to come to earth is to kill humans and Tohru, but after losing the fight by Tohru and later being saved by Kobayshi her heart changes.
As a new character, she has room to expand and grow what we want. You know what I’m saying.
K
Kimun Kamui
Not so much we know about Kimun’s life. As a matter of fact, we only know that he is the father of Kanna, an irresponsible father who doesn’t see his daughter as his child but as a co-worker. So, when Kanna breaks one of the Dragon Ball (yes the seven dragon balls) as a prank, he abandons Kanna alone.
M
Makoto Takiya
Makoto Takiya is a co-worker and friend of Kobayashi. Also, he is the one with whom Fafnir is living.
They show Takiya as a very good-natured, and friendly character filled with the desire to help. As a reference, we see Makoto sharing Fafnir with his umbrella in the rain. Only Makoto is the person who may call Fafnir Faf-Kun, not even Tohru dares to call him that.
As for his personality, Makoto has two hardworking, friendly co-workers,s and when he wears his glasses on which converts him to a secret otaku in which his voice becomes high and he becomes more aggressive toward games and anime.
He is also a talented mangaka (manga artist) and game developer who sells his entire stock of manga at Comiket.
Mr. and Mrs. Saikawa
Mr. and Mrs. Saikawa are the parents of, you guessed it right, Riko and Georgie Saikawa. Not so much is shown or told about them as but they are shown at a sports festival held at Riko school, supporting both Riko and Kanna alongside Georgie.
Their personality seems friendly and supportive. They have only appeared only at the sports festival till now.
S
Sasakibe
She is the neighbor of Kobayashi, living in apartment number 401. She is a very good housewife and a talented chef. We see her sharing food with Tohru. She has friendly relations with Kobayashi and Tohru.
Shouta Magatsuchi
Shouta Magatsuchi is an elementary school student who comes from the Lineage of magicians/ wizards of the modern world.
As for his personality, he is very shy, but they also showed him to have a wonderful knowledge about magic as he creates the magic to summon demons, but in return ends up summoning Lucoa. As a result, Shouta thinks of Lucoa as a demon despite Lucoa’s practice to seduce Shouta, he often finds it embarrassing and runs away.
Sone
He is one of the three neighbors shown in the series who lives in apartment number 502. He is the master in woodworking, as it is shown that lots of his wood crafts are so detailed that even being a dragon, Tohru praises it by telling how good it is.

Taketo Aida
Taketo Aida is the grandson of Miss Aida. He is a friend and co-worker of Ilulu is a high-schooler with a very supportive and kind nature.
He cares deeply about her grandmother so much that when he hears his grandmother gave a job to Ilulu at a candy shop he became very suspicious of Ilulu but after seeing Ilulu’s kind and passionate nature he supports her. In the recent series, we get to see a bond taking place between both of them.
We also see several times Shouta coming to get advice from him as both of them face a similar Sugoi Dekai situation.
Telnet
Telnet is the grandmother of Elma and the second in command of the harmony faction. We know not much about her; we know she is both Tohru and Kanna’s fathers. She is a powerful dragon capable of clearing skies with only her fingers; she also has defeated Tohru in battle easily.
Despite her age, she takes human form looking like a short cute version of Elma. As for her personality, she acts cute and childlike; mostly, she likes to get treated as a kid and loves anything cute. So much so that if someone cute breaks the law made by the harmony faction, she forgives it.
Tsubaki Aida
She is the grandmother of Taketo and owner of an Old Candy shop. Miss Aida had planned to hand over his shopkeeper position to Taketo, but because of her leg injury and her belief, his grandson doesn’t want it; she leaves a vacancy which is filled by Ilulu.
Y
Yana
He is the Third neighbor of Tohru and Miss Kobayashi. He lives in apartment number 403. He works as a death metal guitarist and often gets deeply touched by Tohru’s guitar playing, even praising her, saying her music is “Hades crushing Hercules”.
Conclusion
So, these were characters from the wonderful world of Miss Kobayashi’s dragon maid. Since the series is still going on and we hope many characters are yet to be introduced.
