Imagine yourself forced to enter a game, it sounds fun but actually, it isn’t. The same happens with Kei, he was somehow forced to survive in a game. It involves a lot of action, suspense, and tough choices. The best thing is that the heroes are given a mission to hunt the aliens.

The way the artist portrayed his detailed-oriented skills in the manga is superb. The darker shade of black in the art makes it cooler to read. However, it also makes some scenes a bit complex because of the darker shades! Overall, it’s a good manga to spend your time on!

This is another appealing story that includes revenge, action, and whatnot! It is set in a world where people are bestowed with powers known as blessings. Sadly, not everyone uses its powers for good. The Earth is in chaos because of an Ice Witch.

No worries! Since we have got a hero named Agni with a blessing of regeneration. There’s much more to the story that you have to find for yourself! Fire Punch has an enticing art that beautifully describes the Earth and its locality.

It always gives me goosebumps to read such kinds of detailed and astonishing mangas. Since we are on the topic, let me tell you about the two special kinds of witches…one is the Sand-witch, yeah! She lives on the deserts, LOL…and the other; an angry witch that’s “the Twitch”

There are different phases in a student’s life, and each one is difficult in its own way. People hardly pay attention to the students, but it is a fact that innocent minds are burdened with many things in these years.

Goodnight Punpun is a manga based on a slice of life. It follows the story of Punpun, his buddies, and their daily life struggles. It’s a great manga for those looking for school life genres. The art of this manga is filled with depth and quality. The character design is pretty cute. It always makes me nostalgic to read this manga!

Hey, are you adventurous? If yes, then guys, fasten your seatbelt! Because you’re going to experience a roller coaster ride full of thrills and chills! Kouko no Hito follows the story of a mountaineer who loves climbing mountains!

We all know the kinds of dangers and risks they face in climbing, right? The art of this manga has made it so realistic that you’ll find your heart pumping fast. Even the cold winds will pierce you out of the manga, at least, that’s what I experienced. Though, it varies from person to person!

It is one of the best historical manga that takes elements from a few famous books like “The Saga of Greenlanders”. The story is based on the life of Thors, the Viking commander. And the way he gives up everything to live an ordinary life on the land with his wife.

The story continues with several incidents and goes forward with Thors’s son named Thorfinn. Author Yukimura Makoto has done a great job in portraying Thorfinn’s life. You will love the detailing and particular quirks of the Vikings in this manga.

My Hero Academia is popular for its heart-winning action, characters, humor, and plot. Each character is unique in its own way. Plus, the story of a so-called loser turned hero is just fabulous. Deku, the main lead, was considered a loser since he lacked the powers named Quirks

However, we all know, such kids always create history, be them in the anime world or this world. I like the style of action and the way the artist has tried to sketch it. I would say, Newton’s Third Law is pretty prominent here! HAHA, see I help your brain in physics too, I am great, right? You can thank me later!

Ken Kaneki has won many hearts, especially the heartbroken ones. Since his heart is also badly broken by his so-called girlfriend. The story focuses on the journey of a human-turned ghoul and his sacrifices. It always squeezes my heart to see Kaneki facing a lot in his life. I wish I could help!

Never mind! The sketch work and the use of black and white shades make the art style super lit. There is so much neatness in the art that you’ll wish to be an artist, I must say! Plus, the personalities of characters will steal your heart in a glimpse! Okay, not all the characters, of course!

I am in love with the concept of this manga about the demon butler. The story is about Ciel whose life is full of troubles and difficulties. His life changed after the death of his parents. He was abused physically and emotionally by the bad guys.

We all know, this is just the beginning. Therefore, after some incidents, Ciel wishes to have a demon named Sebastian at his side who will help him in taking revenge. I like the style, explanation, and character design of this manga specifically.

This manga is also an action manga with tons of humor combined. Meliodas has taken this manga to another level mainly because of his exceptional personality. He seems so witty and flirty; however, when it comes to action, then dude, you have to leave everything and run!

This is a detailed manga when it comes to art. Therefore, you might find it a bit complex in some scenes. Because we all know that action mangas include powers and destruction. Apart from that, the character designs are to die for!

I mean, I can die for Meliodas! Oh no, I can die only for Naruto! ….  Hey, no! Then, what about Ichigo and the others? Ah, that’s a bit confusing…!

If you like reading suspense, mystery, and crime novels, then this one is made for you. The way the author has described each character and their abilities are admirable. Plus, the credit goes to the artists for sketching it perfectly with prominent detailing.

The plot revolves around Death Note and its usage in different hands. Some use it for good and some for bad. However, Death Note got its hype because of the genius masterminds. I can bet after reading this one, you’ll wish to be a genius! HAHA, I know, I know, you’re a born genius!

This one here is a thrilling story involving supernatural powers. It revolves around a high school girl named Kirie and her BF, Shuichi. Some mysterious powers called Spirals are famous for creating havoc on paranormal events.

Shuichi has already seen a lot due to these spirals since both his parents died because of them. Therefore, when he sees the people around him getting targeted by these forces, he decides to find a solution against them.

Well, mate, this is just the beginning. These Spirals leave no chances to attack the town. And with time, everything slowly and steadily is moving towards destruction! This is a great manga based on psychological thriller and horror genres. Plus, this manga is specifically popular for its dignified art!

Like the name says it all, it’s about the titans. Attack on Titan has broken the records in terms of its manga art, animation, story, and characters. Otakus find this one a masterpiece. The manga keeps the readers hooked right from the start.

It will give you chills to see the titans attacking humanity. Let me tell you, humanity lacks powers, it’s just the scouts fighting alone with the powerful titans. EEH! It gives me chills to even think about it.

Well, I know, mere humans can’t fight against the titans, so definitely, there is some twist to it. I can bet you’ll love the art and its character design for sure!

Jujutsu Kaisen has stolen the spotlight for being one of the best anime for its animation. And its manga is no less either! Keeping the art aside, JJK is actually exceptional in terms of its plot and action!

One thing is for sure, you’ll surely lose your heart after seeing Gojo Satoru. LOL, because he is drop-dead gorgeous! Okay, if not in the manga, then you can’t resist yourself in the anime. Plus, JJK is all about sorcerers and their Cursed Techniques. So, I guess you can imagine it pretty well, right?

How many of you love sports? This one is an epic manga for sports lovers. The strategies, techniques, and styles of the players are super enthralling. In fact, it gives great knowledge to the otakus who are in sports, specifically; volleyball!

The research about each strategy and logical reasoning behind every move is simply captivating. Besides, the overall story is super cool. You’ll definitely fall for the characters. In a nutshell, Haikyuu is full of action, knowledge, fun, and entertainment!

There’s advice for life: “Never break up with the goalie…because he is the keeper for life”!

I must say, Tite Kubo knows how to appease otakus with beauty and power. Knowing a death god and admiring them has never been such a pleasure before. But after reading this one, everyone is forced to think about the beauty and strength of gods!

If you are looking for art, then this one will make you fall in love. The detailed yet precise storyline, character development, and emotional buildup are top-notch in this manga. The in-depth study of Japanese culture and their beliefs are one thing to admire in this one.

Let me give you a bonus, if you’re a shonen lover, then you have got your Christmas gift! See, I am your friend!

How many of you are obsessed with soccer like me? Okay then, this manga is the best for those who are into sports. I know all the manga based on sports gives knowledge of another level, but this is just lit.

The plot follows the story of the Japan National Team that is struggling to attain a good rank in the field. Blue Lock is actually the name of a training procedure. The ones who are eligible to fulfill the criteria can be the top player. Of course, mate, it isn’t easy!

The art and character are beautifully designed. Plus, you’ll get to learn a lot of new strategies with the logic behind them. Have fun reading it!

When it comes to art, no one can beat Masashi Kishimoto! This guy actually makes you feel like you are living with the characters. The kind of detailing, character-building, and in-depth study of history and martial arts is beyond words.

If we talk about mangas, only pretty faces cannot define art. The art of creating an emotional connection with each character is something this manga will give you. Kishimoto has portrayed Ninjas in a new light. I bet everyone loves it.

Did you know? Sasuke’s fans are like… Sasuke is stronger than Naruto...why is it so? Because Sasuke handles things single-handedly, ROFL!

We all have some fears, right? The theme of this manga is exceptional as it targets our fears. It is set in a world where people’s fears give birth to the devils. And both fear and devils are directly proportional in terms of strength.

Then comes our main lead, Denji, who works as a devil hunter. Yeah, where there are devils, there are devil hunters as well. The manga hooks the audience by building an emotional bond with Denji since his life is messed up.

He has to work day and night to fight off his poverty. This isn’t the end. Denji soon gets betrayed and murdered by none other than his boss from the Yakuza. Hey, hey, here comes the best part! Yup, this proves to be his turning point that changes his life completely. You got that right; he didn’t die!

I can bet you’ll fall for the action, character description, and explanation of the storyline in this manga. These are all the elements that make the art best! So, dude, you can thank me later for this too, LOL!

If you’re a shonen lover, then for you, One Punch Man needs no introduction. However, for my other otakus, if you enjoy action, then trust me, this one is good to go! While reading this manga, you will go breathless. Ask why?

That’s because Saitama is no joke when it comes to making audiences laugh. Yes, just imagine a bald hero knocking out the strongest of the guys in just one punch! Everything aside, the power of Saitama is incomparable.

I wish to see Goku and Saitama in a one-on-one fight. What do you say?

This manga is my personal favorite. It has almost everything that an otaku can look for. Be it the action, plot, characters, and art, everything is phenomenal. However, the story is a bit emotional since Tanjiro and his sister have seen a lot in their lives!

Never mind, the way the manga artist has portrayed the demons and their powers is heart-stealing. Plus, the costumes look extremely enthralling in this manga! Yes, because the characters are so beautifully designed!

So, if you’re looking for an action manga that is full of emotions, rage, and love then this one is a perfect choice! Oh! By love I meant the bond of siblings!

This is an epic historical manga combined with rip-roaring martial arts. Vagabond is a legendary manga and has a lot of hype among the readers. There are multiple arcs in this manga and each one of them is fantastic.

The manga is based on the journey of two teenagers who escaped from a battlefield. Both of them chose different paths for their survival. Believe me or not, the art of this manga is just crazy. The shades of grey and black have made the art look enthralling!

Why and how is a mystery that I don’t want to spoil for you! Yes, dude, I am a friend that will never give you a spoiler, LOL!

Kingdom gives a great lesson to the ones who seek that war has no outcome. The art, detailed study, explanation, and fighting techniques are beyond everything. Have a good luck reading!

Dude, this one is simply iconic, it’s beyond words to describe this manga. It is famous for its detailed explanation, research about each element including history, human nature, and whatnot! In short, it’s a masterpiece.

The portrayal of rage, emotions, harshness, the reality is simply beautiful. However, for some people, this manga is pretty complex since they find it emotionally deep. But I believe the ups and downs combined with the unpredictable plots make the story worthy to read.

What are your thoughts about them?

What Manga Do You Think Has The Best Art?

Kingdom Panel

Each manga is amazing in its own way because it requires a lot of effort and hard work from the artist and the authors. In fact, the whole team! To talk about the art, then it’s not always about the colors or sketching. It’s about how the artist has made it easy to portray the tough concepts.

Plus, the research behind it, the limitless remakes, infinite sleepless nights are what I have realized is behind every manga. So, salute to all the artists out there! I would love to know your favorite and the reasons behind them.

I am all ears!

  1. I’m sorry, while I do appreciate you putting Oyasumi Pun Pun on the list. To put it below Bleach, AoT, Demon Slayer (number 4…just what?), JJK, (Haikyuu?) or pretty much all shounen listed here except One Punch Man in terms of art is just flat out OBJECTIVELY wrong (not to say those are bad). I’m tolerate of most opinions but as an artist, this bothers me a lot as Asano Inio is considered one of the most gifted artists in the medium. (17/20 is a huge disservice).

and like the guy before me. Putting OPM art in the same tier as those listed is weird because OPM is leagues above them in terms of technicality.

This is a really really bad list. I respect your passion for the medium but you are totally off the mark.

    1. Putting OPM, Vagabond, Berserk on the same tier*. Blue Lock, Bleach, and JJK has no business in the same league as these three.

Also, My Hero art is underrated. Way better than a lot of it’s shounen brethren you ranked above it.

    2. Sorry! We appreciate your feedback on the list, and we’ll consider it in the future. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  2. This is just my opinion but, if you put the art of one punch man almost at the same level of jjk, demon slayer, etc, this is not really accurate. The same goes for many others.

      1. Was mainly looking forward to what you had to say about bleach’s art since it doesn’t get talked enough about on here. But you ended up posting your explanation twice about blue lock instead. Was hoping you could fix this
