First if you still don’t know, the plot of World Trigger goes like this. When strange creatures called the Neighbors arrive on Earth, the city of Mikado is invaded by them. The Border Defense Agency was created to safeguard the planet from the invaders. The members protect the earth from the Neighbors using special weapons called “Triggers” since the normal weapons don’t work on them (Neighbors).
Members of the Training Staff, including Osamu Mikumo, are not allowed to use their Triggers anywhere in the organization. When a mysterious new student is dragged into a forbidden area, they are attacked by Neighbors.

Osamu has no choice but to protect him and later to his surprise, the transfer student, Yuma Kuga, destroys the aliens, revealing that he is one of the many Neighbors in disguise.

Yuichi Jin

Although he is a bit of a lighthearted person, Jin is very serious when it comes to protecting his friends. He tends to protect those around him, and is very resourceful using every piece of information available to shield his comrades.
Mitsuru Tokieda

Mitsuru Tokieda is a calm individual who is a member of the Arashiyama unit. Unlike his teammates, he doesn’t get excited about anything, always has a laidback demeanour, and won’t even open his mouth unless he has something important to say.
Taurus (April 21 – May 20)
Noboru Koarai
Sign: Taurus
Koarai is a lively, easily excited character who wears his emotions on his sleeve. He has a competitive streak, which shines through when he and Okudera talk strategy in front of their captain when he fights in rank battles, and when he cheers for others.
Despite this, when he loses, he expresses no bitterness, instead praising the winner with zeal and admiring the more adept Attackers.
Shiori Usami
Sign: Taurus
Shiori is a carefree and playful person, as evidenced by her various appearances. She appears to be a nerd who enjoys delving into details.
She is shown to be very childish, asking Osamu solely to increase the number of individuals in Tamakoma Branch who wear glasses, and crying when Jin interrupted her when choosing Chika’s position.
She is extremely loving about her teammates, as well as dedicated and willing to go to great measures for them. Shiori is a friendly and lively person who is always eager to welcome visitors.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Osamu Mikumo
Sign: Gemini
One of the primary protagonists in this anime series is Osamu Mikumo. He is a quiet high schooler who joined Border to protect his buddy, Chika Amatori, but he quickly rises through the ranks to become the Tamakoma Second Division Captain and shooter.
Yuma Kuga, who has the ability to discern lies, defines him as a very honest person. Osamu is a strong-willed, courageous man with a strong sense of justice who goes out of his way to help others, even if it puts him in danger.
Ryo Utagawa
Sign: Gemini
Unlike his companions, the reserved Kazama and the foul-mouthed Kikuchihara, Ryou is a friendly and gentle person.
On the other hand, he is generally the one to apologise for their offensive comments, especially to Soya Kazama, his team captain.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Ken Satori
Sign: Cancer
Arashiyama Unit’s Ken Satori is just a member. Even when in combat, Ken is a humorous and carefree individual. As seen in the Black Trigger Retrieval Arc and the Third Neighbor Attack Arc, he is constantly attempting to draw attention to himself.
He is immensely proud of his unrivalled ability to wield two sniper rifles at the same time, and he brags about it all the time.
Reiji Kizaki
Sign: Cancer
Reiji is a serious and quiet individual. He can be harsh as he demonstrated when he lectured Chika for forgetting the fundamentals of being a sniper, despite the fact that she proved him wrong by demonstrating that she didn’t.
When Yuri is there, it is the only time he has been shown to lose his calm.
Yuuma Kuga
Sign: Cancer
Yuuma is one of World Trigger’s four major protagonists. Being from another world, he has a laid-back disposition and is unfamiliar with Japanese norms and traditions, resulting in several run-ins with harsh characters.
He is pragmatic, encouraging Mikumo to avoid the trion Battle Soldier rather than saving the pupils because Mikumo could die.
He appears to be fighting alongside the Border soldiers against the Neighbors. Despite his cheerful appearance, he is deeply depressed as a result of his father’s sacrifice to resurrect him.
Leo (July 23-August 22)
Jun Arashiyama
Sign: Leo
Jun Arashiyama is a carefree individual who also has a humorous attitude and does not have a strong dislike for his neighbours.
He also cares deeply for his siblings, as evidenced by the fact that when he realised they were safe from the Marmod attack, he quickly hugged them.
Kotaro Suwa
Sign: Leo
Suwa is a loud character with a bombastic personality who reacts angrily to everything. He’s obnoxious and pushy, but he’s also quite personable and modest. He’s also easy to get along with.
Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Mako Hitomi
Sign: Virgo
Because Hitomi is poised, practical, responsible, and dependable, she frequently serves as a big sister to Koarai and Okudera. She does not hesitate to express her concerns when their goals create an undue load on Azuma and herself, but she remains eager to help them even if she does not give way to them when they become sad.
Kei Tachikawa
Sign: Virgo
As a result of his arrogance, Tachikawa’s weaknesses include carelessness, risk-taking, and underestimating the enemy.
He also gets nervous when an opponent is unexpectedly more challenging. However, while in his thoughts, he analyses the situation using the knowledge he gathers during the fight.

Soya Kazama

Kazama is a reserved and peaceful individual. He only speaks when he has anything to say. He never seems to let emotions cloud his judgement, and he swears he has no resentment toward the Neighbors for murdering his brother.
He’s also a great tactician, though he can be cruel at times.
Shuji Miwa

Miwa is a reserved individual who rarely speaks and constantly wears a serious expression on his face.
Following his sister’s death, he swore an unwavering hatred for the Neighbors, and when they are involved, he acts aggressively, sometimes even violently.
Scorpio (October 23-November 22)
Takumi Rindo
Sign: Scorpio
Rindo, like Jin, is a calm and carefree individual. He, unlike the majority of Border members, does not despise Neighbors and feels that they can be human companions. He enjoys smoking and does so frequently.
Shohei Kodera
Sign: Scorpio
Kodera has a pleasant, if reserved personality but he has learnt to assert himself when necessary. He has a great deal of admiration for his teammates, especially his captain.
Sagittarius (November 23-December 21)
Yosuke Yoneya
Sign: Sagittarius
Yoneya is a carefree individual who enjoys himself. He is unconcerned about the consequences of his actions. Unlike the rest of his team, he has no resentment against the Neighbors.
Hyrein
Sign: Sagittarius
Hyrein is a calculating and carefree personality who is also a skilled strategist. He appears to be hell-bent on achieving his group’s objective.
Despite this, he is a pacifist who appears to have a moral compass, as seen by his use of tactics that separated opposing forces and focused on capturing only C-rank operatives.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Nozomi Kako
Sign: Capricorn
Kako is a laid-back individual. She was also seen to be embarrassed by the fact that she was able to go to the battlefield with her unit sooner, indicating that she was serious about her task. She is quick to criticise anything and point out shortcomings.
Shinji Fuyushima
Sign: Capricorn
He is laid-back and relaxed. He refers to himself as “this old man” on occasions, possibly because he is older than other agents.
Aquarius (January 20-February 19)
Yuu Kunichika
Sign: Aquarius
Kunichika is a warm and friendly person. She appears to her younger comrades as an “elder sister” character and the voice of reason in her squad, ending fights between Izumi and Yuiga.
She also appears to be a nerd, as seen by the big video game collection in her room.
Yoshito Hanzaki
Sign: Aquarius
Hanzaki comes across as a drowsy, low-energy person who has a tendency for highlighting the more monotonous or otherwise unpleasant parts of a situation/task, a tendency he picked up from continually taking on projects that are beyond his capabilities.
Despite this, he is devoted to Sniping practice and works hard to improve his skills.
Pisces (February 20-March 20)
Kaho Mikami
Sign: Pisces
Mikami is a sweet and caring individual. She also appears to be very serious about her profession, whether as a member of her unit or as a narrator in the rank battles She is also plainly irritated by Tachikawa’s lack of seriousness.
