DanganRonpa is a visual novel type of dialogue-heavy quest game, with good quality animation. This game takes almost 45 hours to get a 100% completion. The gameplay and 36 episodes of anime complete each other.
The show turns into a pretty exciting murder-mystery story as we figure out who murdered who. But with so many different games, manga, anime, movies, reboots, and many more. Thus, fans get confused about where to start.
Table of Contents
The real experience and a good complete review of DanganRonpa lie in the games, visual novels, and anime. Reading the graphic novel is optional as it’s illustrated throughout the anime but I recommend that you at least play DanganRonpa 1 and DanganRonpa 2 (or watch the full gameplay on YouTube).

If you just jump right into the anime, at a certain point, you’ll realize that you want to play the games to properly understand what is going on. For this watch order article, the watch order is not only going to include the anime but the games, movies, live-actions, specials, OVAs, and visual novels as well.

Since I’m finished with my Danganronpa watch order, I’d suggest once more to play the video games if possible. Watching just the anime is okay too but not if it’s for a good complete review.
Hopefully, it will be a good thriller and makes you excited in every minute of it. I hope my watch order helped in some way.
