Dragon Ball Kai Filler Percentage
Dragon Ball Z Kai has 167 total episodes out of which 123 episodes are mixed canon/filler episodes and 5 episodes are completely fillers. In terms of complete fillers, Dragon Ball Z Kai has 3% filler episodes. Meanwhile, DBZ Kai has 73.6% mixed canon/filler episodes.
1. Saiyan arc Ep (1-18)
Goku and Piccolo fight with Raditz and discover that they still have to face the strongest opponents yet… the Saiyans. Saiyans are the warrior race who used to gain strength by using the Dragon Balls. Due to the death of Son Goku, Z Warriors must prepare themselves for the arrival of Saiyans on the Earth.
There are a total of 18 episodes out of which 3 episodes are mixed canon/fillers. The Saiyan Arc has 16.7% mixed canon/filler episodes. There is one complete filler in this arc so the arc has 5.56% fillers.
In all of this arc, episode number 7 is a complete filler episode and can be skipped easily. However, episode 8 is a kind of a feel-good episode and is considered a mixed canon/filler episode but is quite significant to the story as in this episode King Kai teaches Goku how to create a Spirit Bomb.
2. Frieza Arc Ep (19-54)
After battling and defeating the Ginyu Special-Squad, Z warriors need some rest but they can not allow themselves to do that because Frieza arrived on Planet Earth and our heroes must find a way to protect this planet.
Frieza is extremely powerful and our heroes are not strong enough to fight him. Son Goku, after seeing his friends die in front of his eyes, attains a new Saiyan Form. Freiza stares at Goku with fear in his eyes. Can he survive Goku’s new form? Watch it to find out.
There are a total of 36 episodes in the Frieza Arc out of which 23 episodes are mixed canon/ fillers. The Frieza Arc has 64% mixed canon/filler episodes. This arc has a continuous series of 7 mixed canon/filler episodes (Ep 41-47). In these episodes, Vegeta saves Gohan from Frieza’s blast but he could not stand Frieza’s strength.
Goku comes to the rescue and appears to be a lot more powerful than Frieza could have imagined. However, episode 47 can be quite significant as it features the Super Saiyan transformation of Goku.
3. Android Arc Ep (55-77)
Trunks travels back in time from the future in order to warn the Z Warriors about the return of the Red Ribbon Army. This time they return in the form of artificial humans. Dr. Gero is the man who created this army in order to kill Son Goku. Everyone starts to prepare themselves for their arrival.
There are a total of 23 episodes in the Android Arc out of which 17 episodes are mixed canon/ fillers. The Android Arc has 73.9% mixed canon/filler episodes. Whereas, 2 episodes in this arc are completely filler so this arc has 8.7% fillers.
In all these episodes, episode numbers 58 and 73 are filler episodes that could be skipped. But, the first filler episode is of great significance as it reveals the survival of Frieza in a battle with Super Saiyan Goku.

Cell, an artificial human appeared, who will do anything to accomplish the perfect and desired form. He absorbed Android 17 and Android 18 to get stronger and after accomplishing that he held a Martial Arts tournament just to celebrate his new transformation.
The Z Warriors have prepared for this event, but what will happen next? Will Son Goku have to say farewell to his buddies for the second time? Let’s find that out. There are a total of 21 episodes in the Cell Arc out of which 19 episodes are mixed canon/fillers.
The Cell Arc has 90.5% mixed canon/filler episodes. The Cell Arc mostly consists of Canon/filler episodes but still, it is quite important to watch all of these episodes as it unravels many incidents that took place throughout the Cell Arc.
In this arc, Gohan is struggling to attain his Super Saiyan form and Goku is trying to help him meanwhile Vegeta is fighting with Cell. Trunks returns to the future and saves an elder person from Android 17 and Android 18.
Trunks defeats both of these Androids and travels back in time to defeat the only remaining android, Cell. Trunks simply tosses him in the air while fighting and destroys him completely. With the help of Trunks, peace is finally returned to the World.
5. World Tournament Arc Ep (99-122)
The saga covers the 25th World Martial Arts Competition and focuses on lesser Dragon Ball Z characters as well as some prominent ones fighting in the tournament. In this tournament, all the main characters fight with each other to become the ultimate champion.
This tournament starts with the fights of the junior division in which Goten and Trunks reach the finale and fight with each other. In the end, Trunks manages to beat Goten. Goten is upset that Trunks cheated, but he claims that they are on the same side because they both cheated.
Trunks is handed a rare opportunity to confront Mr. Satan, who tries to convince him that it is all a joke, but Trunks beats him with a single punch.

6. Majin Buu Arc Ep (123-140)
Bibbidi was a black magician who created a powerful demon to conquer the whole universe. The demon’s name was Majin Buu. Majin Buu was extremely dangerous and was created 500 years ago.
Now Bobbidi, his son, has appeared in order to grant his father’s wish by releasing the Demon named Majin Buu. Z warriors must fight this Demon in order to save the universe. There are a total of 18 episodes in the Majin Buu Arc out of which 15 episodes are mixed canon/fillers. The Majin Buu Arc has 83.4% mixed canon/filler episodes.
Magin Buu Arc has a continuous series of 13 canon/filler episodes from episodes 125-138. These episodes are of great significance as it contains the elements of Majin Buu getting out of control and destroying everyone.
Majin Vegeta finally comes to a realization and is prepared to risk his life to kill Majin Buu. He told Piccolo to gather everyone and go so he could kill Majin Buu by giving up his life. Majin Vegeta transforms into his Super Saiyan form and creates a big explosion to kill Majin Buu.

7. Evil Buu Arc Ep (141-167)

Some users find this arc extremely interesting because of the fight scenes of Majin and Evil Buu. Episode 161 is the most important episode in the Evil Buu Arc. This episode shows the transformation of Goku in Super Saiyan 3 form which is one of the most powerful forms of Goku.
