Naruto is one of the most popular anime to ever hit the planet. Written by O.G Masashi Kishimoto, every anime fan can relate to their childhood when they spent hours watching this masterpiece. The anime started airing on October 3rd, 2002, and that day, something unique and new came into the world of anime. And it reminded me, how much I, together with my friends, even wanted to become real-life ninjas!

Anyways, being an anime fan, I know how annoying can fillers be sometimes. I mean, I do respect fillers and sometimes, I specifically watch fillers. But truth be told, most people are heavily interested in the actual storyline. So, I thought, why not make things easier for all the Naruto fans out there? Naruto Season 1 (Ep. 1-57)

This is where all the magic happened. Directed by Hayato Date, the first season of Naruto follows Naruto Uzumaki, a young and hot-headed ninja who’s having a lot of problems in everyday life. Being a host of Nine-Tailed Fox, Naruto’s life was never easy. He’s hated by people around him thinking that he’s a demon. 

Everyone is afraid of Naruto except some pure ninjas that’ll support him no matter what. But Naruto has one and only goal in his mind. To become the next Hokage by earning the villagers’ respect. That’s all. 

Naruto Season 2 (Ep. 58-100)

The second season incorporates Naruto and his friends giving the Chunin Exam to prove that they are worthy of going on big missions. However, to their surprise, there was an invasion in the Hidden Leaf Village. Who are these people? What do they want? Will Naruto be able to save his friends? Naruto Season 4 (Ep. 142-183)

Sasuke just joined Orochimaru. So, what will happen to team 7? Naruto and Sakura go on short missions in pursuit to find Sasuke somehow. To their surprise, a lot of other challenges are waiting ahead. This is also a very emotional season where Naruto and his first sensei, Iruka, fought with another sensei from the village named Mizuki. 

Mizuki let his anger and jealousy get the best of him, ultimately making Iruka and Naruto suffer. This is where we get to see Naruto being super angry for the first time in forever.

Naruto Season 5 (184-220)

In the fifth season, Naruto finishes all the missions he’s assigned and decides to go train with one of the legendary Sannins named Jiraiya. To Naruto’s surprise, Jiraiya is not just a dirty old man but he knows a lot of mysteries about Naruto and the Nine-Tailed Fox. Naruto says goodbye to all his friends and trains diligently for around two and a half years.

Naruto Shippuden Season 1: Kazekage Rescue (Episode. 1-32)

After training for two and a half years with Jiraiya. Here we are, my ninjas. Naruto has been training for around three years. Did anything change? Did Naruto get any stronger? Anyways, Naruto goes back to the Hidden Leaf Village after his training with Jiraiya and meets his friends. This time, the mission is not a child’s game. 

It’s to rescue Gaara from a dark group known as the Akatsuki. Can Naruto do that? Will he be able to save someone who should be unbeatable in the first place? What’s the mystery here? Who’s Akatsuki? All these questions were being pondered in Naruto’s head as he was going to save Gaara.

Naruto Shippuden Season 2: Long-Awaited Reunion (Episodes 33-53)

After spending so much time away from his friends from childhood, how does he react to Sasuke? Will he fight or will be reunited with his fellow ninjas? Naruto Shippuden Season 3: Twelve Guardian Ninja (Episodes 54-71)

Also known as the Twelve Guardian Ninja, this season incorporates Naruto saving a monk. A lot of action is involved but Naruto has to be careful with the enemies he’s dealing with.

Naruto Shippuden Season 4: Immortal Devastators- Hidan And Kakuzu (Episode 72-88)

In one of the darkest seasons in the Naruto series, Shikamaru goes to avenge Asuma Sensei’s death. However, the whole season is very blue and the overall vibe is just sadness. On the other hand, Naruto is mastering one of the most difficult Jutsus called Rasen Shuriken. Kakashi helps Naruto with his training and together, they train to fight against some of the strongest members of the Akatsuki, Hidan, and Kakuzu. How will the fight go? Hands down, season 6 is one of the most popular and interesting to watch to this date. 

Naruto Shippuden Season 7: Six-Tailed Demon Slug (Episode: 144-151)

This small insignificant series only contains 6 episodes. It follows the story of Naruto trying to save Hotaru and getting rid of a forbidden Jutsu. The title for season seven is “The Six-Tailed Demon Slug”.

Season 8 of Naruto Shippuden incorporates the Akatsuki leader, Pain, trying to destroy the Hidden Leaf in an attempt to find Naruto. This is the season where Naruto is already too heartbroken from the previous scars that pain gives him, and now he’s ready to go all out. 

We see one of the most interesting fights like Pain vs Kakashi, Konohamaru saving everyone, and a new power that Naruto got by training with the sage frogs.  Will Naruto be able to beat Pain who gave everyone a hard time even though he was alone? Watch the series to find out.

Ah yes! The craziness continues. This season incorporates the Gathering of the Five Kages from all over the world. Sasuke became rogue and everyone’s in danger after he got Mangekyo Sharingan. Meanwhile, Naruto is trying to fight the Akatsuki and bring Sasuke back to his senses this everything was slowly getting out of control. 

This season includes crazy fights like Sasuke vs Killer Bee, Sasuke vs Mei Terumi, and Sasuke vs Danzo, my man is just going all out with his new powers. Will Sasuke ever come back to his original self? Or has he decided to join the dark side once and for all? Watch the 10th season to find out!

Naruto Shippuden Season 11: Paradise On The Ship (Episodes 222-242)

Naruto Shippuden Season 12: Nine-Tailed Fox Taming And Karmic Encounters (Episodes 243-275)

In season 12 of Naruto Shippuden, Naruto is trying his best to control the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox. He tries to do it with the help of Killer Bee who’s best friends with his own tailed beast. This also marks one of the most important fights in the series. Kisame vs Might Guy happens this season. This also marks the beginning of the war.

Kabuto created so much confusion everywhere, and in this chaos, will our heroes be able to fight the past ninjas that were reanimated by using a forbidden Jutsu? Watch to find out more.

Naruto Shippuden Season 13: The Seven Shinobi Swordsmen (Ep. 276-295)

All the great Shinobi villages had an alliance together to fight the stupidity that Kabuto is causing. In this season, we see Naruto vs Itachi, the Second Mizukage, and also Tobi’s plan to initiate Infinite Tsukuyomi. A lot is still to unfold here. In the end, Naruto and his friends have to find an infinite amount of White Zetsu clones. What does all this mean? We’ll just have to find out. 

Naruto Shippuden Season 15: The Fourth Great Ninja War – Sasuke And Itachi (Episodes 321-348)

Madara UCHIHA! That one ninja everyone adores even though they know he’s one heck of a bad guy. This season incorporates the resurrection of Madara Uchiha who declared war the first thing when he came back to life. What does this mean for the ninja world? Who’s Madara and what’s his origin? 

Everything is unfolded here. Sasuke and Reanimated Itachi also fight Kabuto and defeat him once and for all. Orochimaru returns and he reanimates other great Hokages from the past so they can get rid of Madara. What happens here is something no one would expect.

Naruto Shippuden Season 16: Kakashi: Shadow Of The Anbu Black Ops (Episode 349-361)

Season 16  follows the story of Hatake Kakashi who joined ANBU Black OPS  when he was just a kid. So many dark secrets unfolded as Kakashi tries to figure out his life. There are also very interesting episodes from the past before Naruto was born. What was the secret of the Sharingan? Was it all Danzo’s fault? We’ll find out this season.

Naruto Shippuden Season 16

Naruto Shippuden Season 17: The Fourth Great Ninja War – The Return Of Squad Seven (Episode 362-372)

Naruto Shippuden Season 18: The Fourth Great Ninja War – Obito Uchiha Against The Shinobi Forces (Episodes 373-393)

Naruto fights Obito while Madara fights the other ninjas. Kakashi vs Obito was also one of the most interesting fights in this season and we get to know who Obito really is. Will our heroes be able to beat two of the strongest Uchiha Ninjas? You’ll have to watch and find it out!

Naruto Shippuden Season 19: Naruto’S Back: The Tracks Of His Friends (Episodes 394-413)

This is one of the most intense Naruto seasons of all time. It contains the events where Madara tries his best to awaken the Tsukuyomi and our heroes must fight to protect everyone from this false reality. At the end of this season, will Naruto and the rest of team 7 be able to beat Madara and stop the Otsutsuki invasion? We’ll find that out.

Naruto Shippuden Season 21 (Ep. 480-500)

This season features Naruto’s wedding! Hooray, our boy is tying the knot! Who’s he going to marry? Of course, you know the lucky lady!

Naruto Fillers Guide

If you don’t have time to watch fillers or you just don’t want to waste your time, you can just read the summary of episodes that I’ve written below. This way, you’re not wasting a lot of time while still remaining faithful to the Naruto storyline. Let’s get it, my ninjas! 

Naruto Episode 26

The original episode from the Naruto series, Live from the Forest of Death!  is the 26 episode. This is the first filler episode in the Naruto series and it includes Naruto waiting in front of the Forest of Death where the second round of Chunin Exams is being held. 

While everyone was waiting, Konohamaru and the squad suddenly appeared, telling everyone that they were there for an interview. Konohamaru and Moegi interview Naruto and Sakura, whereas Udon interviews Sasuke. Naruto and Sasuke start fighting in between because both are rivals and both think that they’re better than each other. 

Naruto Episode 97

The 97th episode of Naruto is called “Kidnapped! Naruto’s Hot Spring Adventure!” On their way back to the village, Tsunade recommends Naruto and Jiraiya stay at the hot spring town for a day to relax. Jiraiya got interested once he got to know that there will be a lot of pretty women in that town. 

However, Senta and Buzo, the two spies from Akagi Gang, are spying on Tsunade and they’re here to collect the debts back from her. So, Naruto and Shizune tried their best to solve the situation only to find out that the debt had been paid a long time ago.

Naruto Episode 101

One of the most interesting episodes from Naruto, Gotta See! Is a filler where Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura try their best to find out what Kakashi Sensei was hiding under his mask. So, they try their best to spy on him, even fight him from time to time, only to find out that there was a mask under his mask. All of them got instantly angry but Kakashi died laughing.

Naruto Episode 102 – 106

Team 7 has been assigned a mission to protect a young lad called Idate. Even though the team is trying to protect this ungrateful guy, he has a hatred towards ninjas and you’ll see him and Naruto arguing with each other too much. This episode is known as Mission: Help an Old Friend in the Land of Tea. 

Episode 103 is known as The Race is on! Trouble on the High Seas! In this episode, our heroes follow Idate to the other port which is a great head start for the race. Between the race, they were attacked by Team Oboro which was hired by the rival clan of Idate. So, to escape the other team, Idate swam into the shore, however, he was confronted by the lead Ame ninja called Aoi. 

In Episode 104, we see Aoi vs Team 7. Team 7 is trying its best to save Idate from the attack, however, Idate is nowhere near the level of Aoi. At last, Idate manages to win by seeing Naruto’s dedication and determination. In the end, Naruto finally defeats Aoi. 

Naruto Episode 136 – 140

These episodes of Naruto include Jiraiya visiting Naruto and Sasuke in the hospital. However, our heroes go on a mission to stop Sasuke, only to find out that they’re going to encounter a mysterious ninja named Sesame. This is where the Fuma Clan drama started. They found out that the demise of the Fuma Clan was due to Orochimaru. 

Sasame was revealed to be a girl and her mission was to protect her cousin Arashi who was going to join Orochimaru for the revival of their clan. This is where they first visit Orochimaru’s house and get caught in Kabuto’s trap. In the end, they find Arashi only to find out that he was disguised as Orochimaru. These filler episodes were indeed very sad.

Naruto Episode 184-220

There’s a lot of craziness happening in season 5 of Naruto as well. This season incorporates Naruto finishing every single mission he was assigned to. He meets Hinata, Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Akamaru, and all other fellow ninjas, he does a lot of crazy missions with them, and in the end, he decides to say goodbye to all his friends as he’s going to train with Jiraiya sensei.

Naruto Shippuden Fillers Guide

If you don’t have the time to watch all the fillers in Naruto Shippuden, don’t worry, I’ve prepared a list of summaries for the fillers that you can read. Enjoy, my ninjas! 

Naruto Shippuden Episode 28

At the start of this episode, Team Guy is fighting their clones and it seems like Sasori is defeated. However, Deidara is causing a lot of problems by bombing everything he can find. That’s where Naruto and Kakashi pursue the Akatsuki member, however, even with his Mangekyo Sharingan abilities, Kakashi’s unable to defeat Deidara. 

He escapes. Now, Team 7 must fight their clones who have an infinite amount of energy. They could’ve run away from the situation but decided to become stronger by training with their own clones.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 57-71

Season 3 of Naruto Shippuden contains a lot of filler episodes. In episodes 57 to 71, Naruto fights Team Furido who is trying to kill a monk named Sora. Sora also transforms into a three-tailed beast in this season, and Naruto turns him back into a partial beast. Soon after that, they manage to calm Sora down and defeat Team Furido.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 91-111

In this season, Naruto’s main objective is to stop a boy named Yukimaru and he has to stop the three-tails rampage. After defeating Kakuzu, Naruto and Kakashi go back.

In episode 91, Orochimaru’s hideout is discovered but it was too late since Orochimaru already left. Yukimaru is entrusted to Guren by Kabuto, who’ll be a vessel of Orochimaru instead of Naruto. 

This season is full of action where Naruto and our ninjas fight with Guren and her men. They also stopped the three-tails rampage. However, in the end, Deidara and Tobi capture the Three-Tails successfully and get away with it.

Naruto Shippuden 144-151

Season 7 of Naruto follows the Six-Tailed Demon Slug chapter from Manga. In this filler season, a girl and a boy get attacked by some ninjas on a cliff. That’s where Utakaka comes into play. He takes the girl named Hotaru and now Team 7 is assigned a mission to assist Ukataka and protect Hotaru before something bad happens. Utakaka gets cornered by the bandits but Team 7 arrives! 

Aside from Utakaka, Naruto also struggles with Hotaru’s forbidden Jutsu. However, our team must stop the bandits, remove the forbidden Jutsu from Hotaru, and leave. That’s what Naruto did. However, at the end of the filler episode 151, Pain attacks Utakata and now Utakata must fight.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 170&171

This one is a filler episode from the past! Naruto is trying to learn the summoning Jutsu in order to use it in the Chunin Exams.

However, he only managed to produce a tadpole and got really tired so quickly. After this, Naruto overhears Jiraiya talking about his hopes that Naruto is one day gonna be able to use the Fourth Hokage’s powers to become one of the strongest ninjas. That’s where Naruto’s curiosity about the Fourth Hokage started. 

Episode 171 covers Naruto, Team 10, and Sakura going on some badass challenges to break the Fourth Hokage’s record. That’s where he got super invested in trouble. 

Naruto Shippuden Episode 176-196

This is the 9th season of Naruto and it incorporates Naruto’s past where Iruka sensei just became his homeroom teacher.

Naruto used to get bullied by other students, however, he took his revenge by wearing a ghost outfit only to be scolded by Iruka sense afterward. This is where Naruto gets really sick of everything and starts hating his school. 

After that, Naruto is invited by the kids he is scared of. But that was the bully’s trick. The bullies wanted Naruto to die so they sent him on a dangerous mission. 

At the end of this season, Sasuke gets a flashback from his past. This episode tells how Sasuke’s jealousy becomes even more towards Naruto. 

Naruto Shippuden Episode 223-242

In this filler season, Naruto goes to the sea with Guy sensei. However, on the ship, Naruto’s shadow clones pop out and try to take revenge on him. Naruto’s clones threatened him and wanted Yamato and Guy sensei to land on the nearest island until they can meet their demands. Guy sensei tries to tell Naruto that these clones are his personality, however, Naruto creates even more clones to fight off the evil clones. 

At the end of this episode, Naruto wakes up and finds out that this was all just a dream. This made Naruto realize the importance of his clones and what part they play in his life. It was a sad episode overall. 

Naruto Shippuden Episode 257-260

In these filler episodes, we see Naruto’s flashbacks of when he was a kid. He used to tease his neighbors a lot. After he was visited by Hiruzen for allowance, he asked the Hokage about his late parents, however, he didn’t answer anything.

We see years later when Sasuke and Naruto got into the team. At the end of this filler section, Sasuke leaves to become stronger with Orochimaru, while Naruto tries to save Sasuke from Orochimaru.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 279-281 & 284-295

This season incorporates white Zetsu’s trap and how he held all the fighters in his trap. However, he gets defeated in the end and everything is back to normal.

At the end of this season, we see Naruto’s Nine-Tailed Clone becoming the Hydra version of the Nine-tailed beast. Naruto was about to give up, however, Minato’s voice came in and told him not to lose his control.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 303-320

These fillers have a lot of content in them. Firstly, the Allied Forces decided to be on high alert mode because of all the imposters around them in the war. This got even more serious when Otogakure’s Sound Four got reincarnated by Kabuto.

Naruto rushes toward his friends but got trapped by one of Zetsu’s traps. Hinata and Neji fight the White Zetsu army and this is where Hinata’s training comes into play. Later on, Naruto and Sakura also helped them and defeated the Zetsu army to go to the battlefield.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 347-348

In these filler episodes, Kakashi tells Jiraiya that the orphans that Jiraiya saved are making progress in terms of training. On the other end, Kyusuke gets a letter request for Akatsuki’s aid to Yahiko. Yahiko wants to train his best and become stronger than Hanzo.

That’s where Hanzo gets to know Akatsuki’s existence. This is where Yahiko vs Hanzo happened. This was the origin of the Six Paths of Pain.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 349-361

This is the 16th season of Naruto Shippuden and it’s an all-out filler. It incorporates the story of Kakashi’s life after Rin’s death, the story of Minato and how he died, the existence of Hashirama Cell and Wood Style, and the story of Orochimaru about how he became the Rogue ninja he is.

After all this, Kakashi got to know that Naruto is Minato’s son and that’s how Team 7 came into its existence.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 376-377 & 388-390

In these filler episodes, Orochimaru’s experiment goes wrong and he accidentally builds a Naruto clone that destroys their whole building. After that, the robot is found by Kisame and Itachi, and they decide to use it to capture Naruto.

Naruto vs Mecha Naruto happens and Naruto becomes the winner after the fight. The other two episodes incorporate Hinata and Hanabi’s stories.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 394-413

This is another filler season of Naruto which incorporates the events happening in the second Chuunin exams. It contains all types of character developments happening for each Hidden Leaf ninja.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 416-417 & 422-423 & 427-450

Episode 416 and 417 introduces us to the story of Team Minato. Obito gets to know how Kakashi doesn’t listen to his teammates and ignores them sometimes. It also follows the story of how Minato and Kakashi understood each other and made a great team together. 

Episodes 422 and 423 introduce us to the events when Konohamaru learns that ONE Jutsu from Naruto and MASTERS. After that, Naruto decided to teach Konohamaru Rasengan, it took a lot of time but our FUTURE HOKAGE to learn Jutsu. 

Episodes 427-450 introduce us to the events happening after Infinite Tsukiyomi was released. It incorporates everyone’s DREAM life.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 480-483

These episodes introduce us to the story of young Naruto, Hinata, Sasuke, Sakura, Gaara, and Shikamaru. It also tells us the story of Jiraiya and Kakashi. They pushed through all the pain and hardships to become the strongest version of themselves. Ultimately, they realized all their struggles were worth it.
