Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba (2019)

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba: Season 2 (2021)
1. Demon Slayer / Kimetsu No Yaiba (2019)

Demon Slayer or Kimetsu No Yaiba came out in 2019. Studio Ufotable with their amazing animating skills, animated this masterpiece. Indeed, the fluidity within the action scenes is breathtaking! How many Demon Slayer episodes are there in total? It has a total of 26 episodes started airing from April to September. The story of Demon Slayer revolves around Tanjiro Kamado who’s striving to become a strong demon slayer just to get revenge and help others not lose their families.
Tanjiro Kamado is the main character whose family got killed by a demon attack. He’s fairly tanned and quite athletic too. He’s an empathetic guy who understands the sorrows of other people and even his opponents. Imagine having to understand your enemies while cutting their heads. It just gets super hard for Tanjiro to slay demons when he tries to understand the situations they are in.
Tanjiro is very kind and helpful too. Honestly, we all need a friend like Tanjiro in our lives. He goes out of his way to support others. Like every other MC, Tanjiro has the attitude of never giving up. He believes in himself and is a quick learner which leads him to achieve his goal. He’s quite honest and ambitious, he also takes help from others when he needs it.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, Tanjiro’s family was attacked by demons, therefore, he decided to become a demon slayer. It wasn’t easy for him, to be honest. With his half-demon sister, Nezuko, he sets out on his journey of becoming a demon slayer.
While learning about his sister’s condition, he started training with Master Sakonji Urokodaki. Master Sakonji is a retired demon slayer who used to be a water Hashira. His breathing style is also called water breathing. He’s quite powerful and supportive of Tanjiro becoming a demon slayer. Master Sakonji really played a vital role in teaching Tanjiro water style breathing. You all remember when Tanjiro tried to cut a huge rock in two pieces using his sword? It took him days, but he never gave up!
During Season 1, we see Tanjiro striving to defeat the demons to protect humanity. On his journey, he comes across some fellows named Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma. He starts to learn about these guys who have the same goal in their mind. It is nothing more than defeating demons. Anyways, we all remember how Zenitsu fell for Nezuko, right? The fact that he didn’t know she was a half-demon was quite funny.

Let’s talk about the first mission of Tanjiro now. When Tanjiro got his nichirin sword, he set out on his first mission. The demon that Tanjiro encountered could transform into other three types of demons, oof! Our boy gets cornered and ends up meeting new people. While fighting the demons, he learns about them. Tanjiro is very quick-witted, therefore, he learns quickly about new things.
During his second mission, he goes to the city. When he was observing the beautiful city he smelled a weird scent. You wouldn’t believe it but the smell was coming from Michael Jackson, oops, I meant, Muzan Kibutsuji. Now, if you don’t know who Muzan is, I bet you’re safe. Anyways, Muzan Kibutsuji is the core of evil and darkness. He’s the guy who’s holding all the demons by his side and sends them down to destroy humanity. He’s basically the main antagonist in the series and is also known as the Demon King. While there was a festival going on, Tanjiro came across Muzan and he could smell him too!

As the story proceeds, Tanjiro meets Tamayo from demons using her blood demon art. She’s a skilled doctor and focuses solely on healing people. Just like that, after getting some damage, Tanjiro and Tamayo defeat these demons that were sent down by none other than Muzan. Now, will Muzan focus on killing Tanjiro?
Tanjiro finally gets to meet Zenitsu and Inosuke who made it to the Final Selection. If you’re not aware of the nature of these boys, let me tell you! Zenitsu Agatsuma is very powerful, yet he gets intimidated very easily. Therefore, he sleeps his problems away. His voice is annoying and is mostly known for saying “Nezuko-chan~” He’s a down-to-earth, cowardly, and over the top person. He doesn’t really help but get scared when big demons come his way. Zenitsu is lively and definitely in love with every girl or maybe only Nezuko?(who knows)

Inosuke, on the other hand, is very wild. He wears a boar mask that lits up his inner wild boar. He loves eating, like, A LOT! He’s brave and impatient but that’s what we all love about him, right?
On their journey to different places, they come across many Hashiras. They have different motives and sad pasts hidden behind their warm smiles. Anyways, the last mission in Demon Slayer 2019 was to travel with the Fire Hashira, Rengoku on a train to defeat the demon who is tormenting humans!
Anyways, as the story continues, these boys team up and defeat many different kinds of demons. Their journey is tough but very wholesome too. Seeing them get closer as they come across tougher and rougher demons is nice. So, you better watch Demon Slayer! I’m sure you wouldn’t regret watching this anime! What are you waiting for? Go grab your popcorn and turn on the television!
2. Demon Slayer / Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train (2020)

“Should I watch the Mugen Train movie?” A big fat YES! This film is an integral part of the series and it’s highly recommended that you don’t miss it. I promise you, you won’t regret taking the time to watch it!
Next off, we have the Mugen Train Arc or the Mugen Train movie. The purpose behind this movie was to defeat the demon, Enmu. Enmu had been tormenting humans very badly. Enmu is the lower moon rank one demon who’s quite annoying and has a very sadistic personality. He loves when people suffer, he’s quite proud of the power he holds. Like most demons, he shows little to no care about humans. Therefore, he torments them and watches them suffer.
The four demon slayers including Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu decide to travel by the Mugen Infinity Train for their next mission along with the Fire Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. We all remember how Rengoku was munching on the bento box, right? It was surely one of the worth-watching sights in the anime. As the story continues, Kyojuro gets trapped in deep sleep due to Enmu’s influence. Little did they know, Enmu was the TRAIN. Like what? Imagine you’re travelling to defeat a demon and it turns out that the train is the demon! Such a unique concept man, I love it. I don’t know about you guys.

Coming back to the topic, the demon slayers feel that something’s off and they are all trapped in their worst nightmares too. They all see some kind of incident that haunts them in their nightmares. Tanjiro tries his best to get out of that nightmare but Enmu’s influence is quite strong. Finally, Tanjiro releases himself from that effect and looks for Enmu. It turns out that Enmu is at the top of the train and at that moment, we get to see their epic fight! That fight is worth-watching to be honest. Now, if you haven’t watched Mugen Train, you better be careful since there are SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Continuing their journey, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, and Rengoku get to injure Enmu a little bit but suffer wounds as well. At last, Enmu gets defeated but the thing is Akaza is sent down by Muzan the same day. That’s where our injured boys got into trouble. That’s when all the things started going wrong. We all know that Akaza is quite strong, he’s one of the Upper Moons. He ends up hurting Kyojuro Rengoku. (it’s sad but it’s true) *sad noises*
3. Demon Slayer / Kimetsu No Yaiba: Season 2 (2021)

Now, we have Demon Slayer Season 2 which finished just recently with it’s first part. Demon Slayer Season 2 tells us the story of how everything went wrong and why everything went wrong. We get to see Rengoku’s part before he gets on the Infinity Train. It’s definitely very wholesome and will warm up your heart since Rengoku is smiling all the time.
After the Mugen Arc incident, Tanjiro and the other demon slayers get triggered and want revenge. They also want to save many other people too who might lose their families. That’s when they come across the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui. Tengen Uzui helps them eradicate different demons in the red light district. Not only that, we also get to see Tengen’s three wives that were trapped by a very beautiful but dangerous demon called Daki. Now, the thing is, these demons are getting stronger and stronger. Daki is one of the Upper Moon demons. She’s quite strong and even has a brother named, Gyutaro.

The demon slayers and the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, come across this demon duo. They try their best to defeat them but end up getting injured seriously. We really get to see the chemistry between these sibling duo. Also, Muzan seems to consider Daki to be able to defeat the Sound Hashira and the demon slayers. Muzan also seems to want to do something with Nezuko. I mean, she’s half-demon so that’s understandable. It might surprise us some other time that Nezuko turns out to be one of the most powerful demons! Who knows? Oh, yes! We also saw Nezuko’s transformation in the series.
Do you guys remember? She got big and had these flower tattoos all over her body? She got very strong and kicked the hell out of Daki. Nezuko seemed like an extremely strong fighter when his brother was in danger. She’d do anything to save him.
As the story proceeds, the demon slayers, especially Zenitsu beat Daki up and Tengen and Tanjiro were busy fighting Gyutaro. Although the brother-sister demon duo was quite strong, I guess it wasn’t very strong to defeat our Sound Hashira and demon slayers. I admit that Tengen was severely injured and was poisoned too, then again Nezuko stepped in and healed him. That’s when Tengen realized that Nezuko is really something. And no wonder Muzan’s after her.
