No matter how absurd it may sound, some fans actually speculate that Paimon could be the Unknown God or Asmoday in Genshin Impact! It turns out that Paimon and the other celestial being have quite some similarities. Both of them have white hair and dresses! To find out whether it’s true or not, keep reading!
PAIMON’S TRUE IDENTITY!
Who is Paimon?
Paimon is known as an NPC in Genshin Impact who accompanies the travelers (players) throughout the game. She meets the players or travelers while being washed out at a lake where she claims that the travelers have saved her life.
She currently plays the role of a mascot and is used as the game’s icon. If you try to install the game, you will actually be able to see Paimon’s face on the logo or icon! That means Paimon is no regular NPC!
In the voice-over of the traveler, she claims that she’s the “god of protection” but this hasn’t been confirmed to be true. She might say that because she considers herself to be the guardian of the traveler!
When it comes to Paimon’s personality, she’s an outgoing, social, and cheerful individual who might come off as naive at times. Paimon is quite clear and straightforward about the things that she likes and doesn’t like.
Despite her small size, she loves eating and can take down tons of food before feeling full. When it comes to her favorite food, she loves slimy things but her worst nightmare is getting eaten by one! She also seems to have great enthusiasm towards rare treasures and Mora as well!
She might come off as a totally different person at times especially when she needs to protect the traveler and unveil mysteries with them. Overall, she’s a very useful character, without her guide, one can’t play Genshin Impact!
Paimon and the Unknown God
It would be hilarious to think that Paimon is the Unknown God or Asmoday at first glance because she’s too small and petite for that! However, there are certain similarities that support this theory! Yes! Hear us out!
Even if she isn’t the Unknown God, she has some godly abilities like stopping time and finding out about wars from thousands of years ago! To make things even more interesting, let me tell you that Paimon’s name was inspired by a demon! In Ars Goetia, Paimon is someone who’s the King of Hell!
Aside from that, we have no idea what Paimon’s origin is, all we know is that Paimon meets the travelers at the lake. Isn’t that right?
Then who is this Unknown God in Genshin Impact? In a cutscene, Paimon calls herself “Sustainer of Heavenly Principles” and many fans believe that she will be Asmoday aka the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles!
An interesting fact is that all the Archons in the game are named after demons. These demons are from The Lesser Key of Solomon! Similarly, Paimon’s name is no exception. It could be Asmoday who is one of the kings of Hell! Wouldn’t that be crazy if Paimon actually turns out to be Asmoday?
One more thing that’s quite intriguing is that the Genshin Impact community seems to use the name Kiana for Unknown God. They do that because Paimon’s appearance is quite similar to Kiana’s!
They also say that Paimon’s pin is quite similar to the Unknown God since it’s cross-shaped. So, let’s talk about her appearance to find out more similarities!
Appearance
Paimon is a small girl who’s petite, she looks like a fairy that can fit in your palm. She has white hair of shoulder-length and dark purple eyes. Sometimes, the tips of her hair look black.
Her outfit consists of a white, long-sleeved jumper and a blue cape that has stars on it along with white stockings and boots. We can also see the embroidery on her dress and some unique shapes are attached to them too!
As for her accessories, she wears a blue hairpin and a tiara over her head! Overall, her appearance is very kawaii, if you are seeing her for the first time, you’re going to fall in love with her!
Celestia and Paimon’s Design
The design of her dress fits Celestia and even if she isn’t the God of Heavenly Principles but such resemblance can make this fact possible. For instance, in the following picture, you can see how the celestial design is similar to Paimon’s costume. This proves that Paimon is actually related to the celestial/archon things. These small pieces of evidence prove how she actually is involved with the celestial or probably a god of some sort.
Celestia is a mysterious location in the world of Genshin Impact. It is known as a floating island in the sky just above Teyyvet. It is said that the heroes who perform the greatest of things can only reach Celestia where they can see the people living below. A human with a vision and someone who has the potential to reach godhood can reside there! Isn’t that fascinating?
This floating land has many landmasses as layers with a central rock. There are about 7-8 satellites surrounding it. These outer rocks have ring-like shapes that are held with certain bridges.
These rocks look as if they had been torn from the Earth’s surface a long time ago and reached the sky! On this island, there are several plains and forests and some signs of architecture are visible from the outer rocks.
Celestia is seen mostly on the North-West Side of Qingyun Peak. In the older version of the games, Celestia was a bit downward and faced Mondstadt directly. It should also be kept in mind that the direction of Celestia depends upon where you’re viewing it.
Genshin Impact and Paimon’s Role
As I’ve mentioned before, Genshin Impact is one of the HOTTEST role-playing video games right now that has spread throughout the world very quickly. Along with its unique and interesting characters, it has won the hearts of many people! It is an open-world game that everyone needs to play.
Paimon is a very important character in the game since it accompanies travelers. It is considered an NPC as it guides you throughout your journey to Mondstadt. Overall, Paimon is a very useful character and without her, you’d be lost in the vast world of Genshin Impact. Now, there is this popular theory regarding Paimon being the Unknown God or Asmoday. So, nothing is confirmed yet but the real fans are speculating things and comparing these two characters.
So, let’s see what happens! We never know what might be true in the world of gaming and in Genshin Impact’s world. There are just so many mysteries that need to be unveiled. For instance, we have no idea about Paimon’s origin! So, this is actually pretty crazy! Isn’t it?
