MOB PSYCHO CHARACTERS RANKED BY POWER!
.
15. Tsuchiya
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Tsuchiya |
Affiliation |
Claw |
Special Power |
Ki Manipulation |
Tsuchiya was a member of Claw Upper Echelon, Scar. The scar was a group of individuals who had challenged Ryo Shimazaki and lost. Their scar was basically a testimony of being worthy. However, in reality, this scar was a sign that they’ll be disposed of after world domination lol!
Tsuchiya possesses the unique ability to manipulate Ki. She can control Ki to strengthen her muscles and use them accurately. She couples martial arts with this ability, and this makes her pretty OP!
She can also destroy things from the inside using her Qi. If she punches a pillar, it’ll be destroyed from the inside first. (Manga Chapter 42) Her special move is named Fifth Punch. In this technique, she paralyzes an opponent with her first punch, then follows up with a series of Qi punches.
.
14. Muto
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Muto |
Affiliation |
Claw |
Special Power |
Mind Manipulation |
Muto is the 14th character on this list. He was a member of the Claw’s upper echelon Scar. He stands out because of his weird design. His personality is also pretty messed up. He doesn’t care what others think about him or anything. He enjoys torturing people and is a PURE SADISTIC!!
And unsurprisingly, his psychic abilities are also related to torture. He can use his powers to enter people’s minds and show them some really messed up situations, basically torturing them so that they submit to his will. (Manga Chapter 36)
This ability is pretty handy if used properly. However, he cannot fight on the front as he possesses no offensive moves.
.
13. Nozomu Hatori
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Nozomu Hatori |
Affiliation |
Claw |
Special Power |
Signal Manipulation |
Nozumu Hatori is the next character to feature on this list. He is also a member of the Ultimate 5 of Claw’s Upper Echelon. Like any other Ultimate 5 member, Nozomu possesses immense power and skills.
He is quite proud of his position as an Ultimate 5 and always brags about it. Well! His powers are not really suited for combat. He possesses the unique ability to control signals. His greatest power is his Telekinesis. He can control airplanes, cars, and ships like they are toys.
He can also block electrical signals, making him a useful backup. His powers don’t allow him to battle on the frontlines, yet he still does. The flexibility of his technique is just INSANE!!! (Manga Chapter 79)
.
12. Hiroshi Shibata
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Hiroshi Shibata |
Affiliation |
Claw |
Special Power |
Muscle Manipulation |
Hiroshi is also a member of Claw’s Ultimate 5 and possesses great skills.
Hiroshi is not that great when it comes to critical thinking and judgment. His approach toward life is quite straightforward. I don’t even understand how he managed to become a part of Ultimate 5.
Unlike other characters, Hiroshi depends on RAW POWER instead of telekinesis or other abilities. He does his psychic powers tho. He can use them to increase his muscle mass. He basically controls his brain and keeps sending signals to his muscles to grow. This makes his muscles swole and he becomes INSANELY strong. He was able to break through Dimple’s strongest barrier with a single punch. He is not a true gym bro duh!! (Season 2 Episode 10)
Well! He was defeated by Dimple when he was controlling Goda, who possesses real muscle mass. GODA is a true GYM BRO!!
.
11. Dimple
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Dimple |
Affiliation |
Mob |
Special Power |
Taking over Bodies |
Next character to make this list is our favorite Dimple. Dimple is not an Esper. He is a spirit who appeared as an antagonist during the first season. He had created his own religion and even had some followers. However, after a good beating from Mob, he changed his ways and started living with him. Well! He still desires to complete his dream every now and then.
Being a spirit, Dimple possesses the unique ability to take over others’ bodies and manipulate them as he pleases. When Ritsu got his powers, Dimple was the one who controlled his body because Ritsu was unable to control his powers himself.
When he takes over someone, the host’s physical abilities are significantly enhanced as well. Dimple is pretty decent at hand-to-hand combat as seen during his fight against Keiji Mogami. Well! Mogami did overpower him. (Manga Chapter 8)
.
10. Matsuo
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Matsuo |
Affiliation |
Scar |
Special Powers |
Spirit Possession |
Matsuo is the next character on this list. If we just ignore his weird personality and design, he is pretty strong. He is a former of the Scar division of the evil organization Claw.
Let’s just talk about his abilities. Matsuo possesses the unique ability to capture and unleash spirits as he pleases. But, of course, he has to weaken the spirits first in order to capture them. He keeps them in a vessel and can use them at any time.
He can also provide them with some extra spiritual energy to make them strong. (Mob Psycho Chapter 65) We saw his true strength during the 7th division arc when he unleashed all of his spirits at once. (Season 2 Episode 11)
His naming sense is a bit weird as well. He calls his spirits names like Cookie-Chan, Chocolate-Chan, Caramel-Chan, and ofc Pudding-Chan. I guess he just likes sweets.
.
9. Megumu Koyama
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Megumu Koyama |
Affiliation |
Scar |
Special Power |
Telekinetic Helix |
Megumu Koyama was one of the first Espers we saw besides Mob and his brother. He is also a member of Claw’s upper Echelon Scar. You can just call him a guy with no brain. He rushes into a fight recklessly and doesn’t care if he’s fighting a kid.
Regarding his abilities, Megumu is quite strong physically. His strength alone is enough to fight off a bunch of high schoolers. However, when fighting Espers, he has to unleash his Psychic powers. He wraps them around his arms to enhance his physical abilities even more.
His strongest move Telekinetic Helix was enough to knock Mob down. His resilience is no joke as well. Even after fighting Kageyama, he was still able to stand up. (Season 1 Episode 8)
.
8. Sho Suzuki
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Sho Suzuki |
Affiliation |
Mob |
Special Power |
Psychic Energy Storage |
The next character on this strongest character list is Sho Suzuki. As you can already see from the name, he is the son of the Claw’s boss and final villain of 2nd season, Toichiro Suzuki. He is considered a prodigy and is insanely strong. Well! In the beginning, we all thought that he is evil, but he turned out to be a good guy who just wanted to stop his father.
Let’s just talk about his abilities. Sho seems to overestimate his abilities. He thought that he’ll single–handedly defeat his father, but DAMNNN! He was wrong. Just like his father, Sho possesses the unique ability to store psychic power and unleash it anytime in the form of CHARGE BOMB, his most powerful attack.
He can also bend light to render himself invisible. After defeating him, Suzuki claimed that Sho is even weaker than Shimazaki. (Season 2 Episode 12)
.
7. Ritsu Kageyama
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Ritsu Kageyama |
Affiliation |
Mob |
Special Power |
Raw Power |
Ritsu Kageyama is the next character on this list. He is the younger brother of Kageyama Shigeo AKA Mob. Unlike Mob, he awakened his psychic powers quite late in the series. He is also excellent at sports and academics.
Ritsu was unable to channel his psychic power properly in the beginning and needed Dimple’s help to channel it. However, as time passed by, he gained much control over his powers and didn’t need Dimple’s help. Just like Mob, he has an internal percentage, and at 100 percent, his powers rival that of Mob. However, he cannot control it properly. (Manga Chapter 100)
Ritsu’s abilities are quite similar to Mob. His psychic aura is also blue just like Mob. Well! It makes sense as they are brothers.

6. Teruki Hanazawa
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Teruki Hanazawa |
Affiliation |
Mob |
Special Power |
Copying |
Teruki Hanazawa is the first main antagonist of the series and is a student at Black Pepper High School. Just like Sho, he overestimates his abilities a lot. He seemed to think that he is the protagonist of this world. However, Mob knocked some sense into him and he became a GOOD GUY!!
Talking about his abilities, Teruki’s psychic aura is yellow–colored. He is one of the strongest espers in terms of abilities and potential. However, his terms of raw power he is nowhere near Mob or Toichiro Suzuki. He is one of the very few espers who can utilize 2 abilities at a time. (Manga Chapter 78) He is also a quick learner and can copy any technique after witnessing it a couple of times. He learned many techniques from different espers including Air Whips from Terada, Pyrokinesis from Miyagawa, and Ethereal Bodies Technique from Muraki.
His lack of raw power is his only download. He cannot fight espers who have much more raw power.
.
5. Katsuya Serizawa
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Katsuya Serizawa |
Affiliation |
Claw (Former)Mob |
Special Power |
Raw Power |
Katsuya Serizawa is another antagonist turned good by Mob. He was originally a member of Claw and that too of the Ultimate 5. Now, he works for Reigan at the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. According to him, he is quite similar to Mob as both of them considered their powers weird and wanted to get rid of them.
His psychic aura is purple-colored and quite surprisingly he uses an umbrella as a weapon. Well! Most espers don’t use any weapon. Serizawa is able to channel his energy through this umbrella and use it as a shield or whatever he wants. Using his umbrella, he can block Suzuki’s 3 percent attack. He was regarded as the strongest member of the Ultimate 5 by Suzuki (Manga Chapter 90)
He is quite adept at using psychic powers as he can perform multiple tasks including watering plants, cleaning, and organizing stuff.
.
4. Ryo Shimazaki
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Ryo Shimazaki |
Affiliation |
Claw Ultimate 5 |
Special Power |
Extrasensory perception |
Next addition to this list is Ryo Shimazaki. Ryo is also a member of Claw’s Ultimate 5. He is definitely Claw’s strongest member after Toichiro Suzuki. Ryo is quite arrogant and noisy. Well! It makes sense as he is pretty DAMNN STRONG!!
Let’s just talk about his abilities. Ryo is blind. However, he compensates for it with his insane EXTRASENSORY PERCEPTION which allows him to dodge attacks and sense things at a distance. He calls this ability the Minds Eye. His most powerful ability is his teleportation. It is just so fast that most people just blink their eyes and whoop! He’s gone. He can also carry stuff with him. He can overpower even stronger espers using this simple ability. (Season 2 Episode 9)
However, the only thing that makes him vulnerable is his predictability. His movements become too predictable after some time and Teruki took advantage of them. (Manga Chapter 88) And just like Teruki, he can perform two different techniques at once.
.
3. Toichiro Suzuki
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Toichiro Suzuki |
Affiliation |
Claw |
Special Power |
Psychic Energy Storage |
Toichiro Suzuki is the boss of Claw and ofc their strongest member. He is the primary antagonist of the 2nd season. He is arrogant and self–centered. His only goal is to rule the world. According to him, the weak don’t deserve to live, he’ll create a new world. He is literally emotionless, as he beat his own san without any remorse.
Toichiro’s ability is quite similar to Sho Suzuki’s. He can also store psychic power and utilize it whenever he needs it. He had been storing energy for over 20 years before kickstarting his world domination plan (Manga Chapter 88). His powers are literally unrivaled except for Mob and Keiji Mogami. His battle with Mob was the highlight of the second season.
He overpowered Mob during most part of the fight. However, he lost after his own powers backfired at 100 percent. Mob himself said that he cannot beat him one-on-one even at 100 percent of his strength.
Other than Energy Storage, Toichiro possesses the unique ability to steal psychic energy from others and make it his own. He can also manipulate all four elements including Ice, Fire, Air, and Earth as seen during his fight against Sho (Manga Chapter 88) Besides all this, he is also seen to manipulate gravity (Manga Chapter 90)
.
2. Keiji Mogami
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Keiji Mogami |
Affiliation |
Spirit |
Special Power |
Raw Power |
Keiji Mogami is regarded as the GREATEST ESPER of all time. He was one of the antagonists in the 1st season. Before turning into a spirit, he was a good person who helped people. However, after his mother’s death, negativity started building inside him and he became evil.
When he was alive, he exorcise Dimple, one of the strongest high-level spirits. This somewhat traumatized me. Mogami’s raw power is only second to Mob. Even though he claimed that he is stronger than him, he still lost to 100 percent Courage Mob.
Keiji Mogamis possesses the unique ability to drain the psychic powers of everyone around him (Manga Chapter 87). As a spirit, he can gain control of any person, significantly enhancing their physical abilities. He can also create an artificial world inside anyone, to mentally torture them (Manga Chapter 67)
.
1. Kageyama Shigeo
INFORMATION |
|
---|---|
Name |
Kageyama Shigeo |
Affiliation |
Mob |
Special Power |
Raw Power |
How can we not include Kageyama on this blog? I mean, he is literally the STRONGEST CHARACTER in the entire series. His classmates call him Mob. Unlike his little brother Ritsu, Kageyama was born with psychic abilities. Having met no other esper his entire life, he seemed to think that he was weird. This led to him hating his powers.
I don’t feel a need to talk about his powers. Anyways, Mob’s main strength is his RAW POWER. Even though, his productivity depends on his mood. If he’s not feeling good, his powers will significantly decrease.
Just like Ritsu, he has an internal percentage, it depends on his mood. At times, his power level crosses even 100 percent and becomes ??! (Season 2 Episode 5) What does this mean? It basically means that his powers are infinite and in this form, he is INVINCIBLE! Mob usually achieves this form when he’s extremely pissed or angry. He can also transfer his powers to both normal humans and Espers. (Season 1 Episode 12)
Mob defeated the likes of Keji Mogami and Toichiro Suzuki, so he definitely deserves this spot.
.
Conclusion
So, here is the blog guys. Mob Psycho is my favorite anime, and with the 3rd season airing as well, this blog was a must.
