Attack on Titan is one of the most popular anime/manga out there. If we just exclude that final chapter, then it is a MASTERPIECE! Well! The final chapter wasn’t that bad in my opinion. Y’all were just tripping. This is what happens when you expect too much from something.

EREN’S TITAN TRANSFORMATIONS!!
Synopsis
In case you have been living under a rock and don’t know what AOT is. I’ll just explain its plot.
Shiganshina is one of Paradise Island’s bordering districts. Its people have been living in peace for quite some time. Their lives were turned upside down, however, when a massive titan appeared out of nowhere and destroyed the gate that protected them from the Titans. These mindless creatures rampaged through the town, destroying everything. (Season 1 Episode 1, 2)
People were forced to flee. Eren Yeager, our MC, was one of these people. Eren’s mother died during this event. Following that, he made a vow to kill every titan in existence.
What are Titans?
Titans are giant, humanoid, and mindless creatures. Their heights can range from 3 to 15. It is now known that Titans are actually humans. A human can be converted into a titan by injecting the spinal fluid of a titan into his body. This fluid can be injected in the spine, forearm, or any other part of the body. Only subjects of Ymir are capable of becoming a titan. Ymir Fritz was the first-ever titan. Her titan was known as the founder titan. She was able to command and rule over the titans. (Manga Chapter 86)
Her daughters were forced to eat her body parts after her death. King Fritz desired that they inherit their mother’s abilities. In this way, Maria, Rose, and Sheena were able to keep the titan’s powers alive.
Their titan forms are known as Shapeshifters and have unique abilities. In the beginning, there were only 3 of them. However, as time passed by, their numbers increased and now there are 9 of them. (Manga Chapter 86, 88, 126)Their users can willingly transform to utilize the power of their titan by damaging themselves, either by cutting or biting their hand off.

Who is Eren Yeager?
Let’s just talk about Eren Jaeger. Eren is one of the most iconic Protagonist and Antagonist of all time. Yess! You read that right. This young man is also the villain of his own show. Or maybe you can call him Anti-Hero? Sounds much better.
Eren has had a strong sense of justice since the beginning. He couldn’t bear seeing people suffer, especially the people of Paradise Island. He believed that even without special abilities, he could bring justice to the world. His dedication to his comrades and his country is definitely something worth mentioning.
However, his life was turned upside down as he became what he despised the most, a TITAN!!!
In this blog, we’ll unfold the events that lead to Eren becoming a Titan.
Eren currently possesses the powers of three titans namely, Attack Titan, Founding Titan, and Warhammer Titan. We’ll discuss briefly how Eren got these powers.
How Eren Became the Attack Titan?
After the events of the Shiganshina District, Eren was evacuating alongside his friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. During their journey, Eren met his father, Grisha Yeager. Grisha injected Eren with the spinal fluid. This turned Eren into a mindless titan. Mindless titans have a tendency to eat humans around them.
Soo, Eren basically ate his father, inheriting the powers of the Attack Titan. Titan Shifters tend to forget what happened to them after their first transformation. Eren also forgot what happened and his titan powers remained a mystery to him for quite some time.
In this form, Eren has long black hair and a well-defined Jaw. His muscles are also well-developed. Attack titan is known for having enhanced strength and precise control. He can also crystallize his body parts. Attack Titan also possesses the unique ability to see into the future.
Its users can peek into the future of their next user. (Season 4 Episode 10)
Eren’s first transformation was not that simple as he was not trained as a Titan Shifter. It took a lot out of him. He had nosebleeds, broken bones, and many other symptoms. It took him some time to adjust to these powers.
Eren’s First Attack Titan Transformation
Eren first transformed into the Attack Titan during the Titan invasion of Wall Rose (Trost District). Being a member of the Survey Corps, Eren was stationed on the battlefield. However, having no battle experience, Eren got eaten by a mindless titan. (Season 1 Episode 5)
Now, the main thing here is that the Titan forgot to CHEW and Eren survived as his spine was intact. PLOT ARMOR!!!!! Intense anger at himself triggered Eren’s first-ever Attack Titan transformation. At that time, the titan was not fully under his control.
He still managed to help close the hole in Wall Rose.
How Eren Became the Founding Titan
Eren got his Founding Titan powers from his father the same night he got the Attack Titan powers.
Eren first used the power of the Founding Titan when he and Mikasa were being attacked by Dina Fritz’s titan form. As Eren is not a member of the Royal family, he cannot directly use these powers. He needs help from someone of the royal bloodline. (Manga Chapter 50)
In this case, his powers activated when he tried punching Dina Fritz’s titan. Who was Dina Fritz? Dina Fritz is Grisha Yeager’s first wife and Zeke Yeager’s mother as well. She betrayed Marley and was banished alongside her husband. As punishment, she was turned into a mindless titan by injecting Spinal Fluid.

Powers of the Founding Titan
Founding Titan is also known as the “Progenitor Titan” in Japanese. Ymir Fritz was the first-ever Founding Titan. Only members of the Royal Bloodline can effectively use its abilities.
Using its scream, it is capable of controlling titans over long distances and manipulating them as it pleases. The user of the founding titan is also capable of altering the memories of every subjects of Ymir as well as their body composition. It can also address all of them at once. (Manga Chapters 50 and 123)
Physically, it is not that strong. However, if you look at its abilities, it’s safe to assume that the Founding Titan is basically the STRONGEST TITAN!!
How Grisha Jaeger Got the Founding Titan
After being banished from Marley, Grisha was also supposed to get punished. However, he was saved by Eren Kruger (The previous Attack Titan). He inherited the powers of the attack titan from Kruger. Following that, he went on to serve as a doctor in the Shiganshina District. There, he got married to Carla Yeager and gave birth to Eren.
Using his connections, Grisha managed to pinpoint the location of the REAL Royal Family (The Reiss Family). Following that, he used the power of the Attack Titan to kill the former user and steal the Founding Titan.
Why was Eren Given The Founding Power?
In Marley, Grisha was a member of the Eldian Restorationists. It was a secret society working against the Marlian government. Their ultimate goal was to free the Eldians and destroy Marley. However, they were betrayed and all of their members were punished.
Grisha managed to escape to Paradise Island and started a new life. He never had any intention to use Eren as a tool. He wanted to do it all by himself. Therefore, he stole the power of the Founding Titan for his own cause.
However, ever since the beginning, Eren’s nature was different from other children. Unlike others, he wanted to know more about the outside world. He wanted to explore it. He wanted to become FREE!! Grisha noticed this and wanted to show Eren what he was hiding in his basement. PS. Grisha had written three books regarding the outside world, Marley, and Eldia after coming to Paradise Island.
Unfortunately, Due to the Shiganshina district incident, Grisha couldn’t show Eren the basement. So, he decided to inherit his powers from Eren and left a key with him, so that he could witness the outside world and ultimately FREE Eldia!!
Eren’s Founding Titan Form
Eren’s founding titan form is rather peculiar. It is quite different from other users. His founding titan form is composed of just bones, and is HUGE!!
The fact that Eren’s head was already decapitated by Gabi before turning into the founding titan makes it even more interesting. After getting decapitated, his head fell right into the hands of Zeke Yeager (a Royal). This triggered a weird phenomenon in which Eren’s spine extended and got attached to his detached head. PLOT ARMOR!!!!! That’s why his spine forms the backbone of his Founding Titan form. Eren has long hair in this form as well. It is also recognized as the BIGGEST TITAN!!
How Eren Became The War Hammer Titan
Eren gained the ability of the War Hammer Titan during Eldia’s invasion of Marley. Eren was already stationed in Marley to gather info regarding the War Hammer Titan.
After the Founding Titan, the War Hammer Titan is regarded as the strongest titan. Eren was well aware that defeating it would be difficult. His strategy was to attack Willy Tybur during his speech. The Tybur family has possessed the War Hammer Titan for several generations. Willy Tybur was rumored to be the current user. (Final Season Episode 7)
However, it was discovered that Willy’s sister was the true War Hammer Titan. Eren immediately recognized this and attacked her. Nonetheless, she completed her transformation. War Hammer Titan has the unique ability to harden and create weapons. So getting close to it is literally impossible.
Unlike other titans, Its user is encased in a hard crystal shell as well. With the assistance of Mikasa and others, Eren managed to get close enough. In order to break the case, Eren utilized Jaw Titan’s jaws as a nutcracker, lol!
With this, Eren also gained the ability of the War Hammer Titan. Eren was able to utilize its power in his Founding Titan Form.
Conclusion
Basically, Eren Yeager had possession of three out of nine original titans at a time. He was the Attack Titan, Founding Titan, and the War Hammer Titan at the same time. We couldn’t witness Eren’s War Hammer Titan form separately. However, we did manage to see him use its abilities.
The Attack on Titan anime is nearing its end. Isayama Sensei has done an amazing job creating this masterpiece. AOT is one of the very few manga with literally no plot holes. Everything is explained perfectly. We should just enjoy it and forget what happened in the last chapter!! This concludes the blog fellas. I hope I didn’t miss anything.
