The summer anime is out and the premiere of fall anime has just started! Therefore, it is the perfect time to look back at the amazing anime and give the praise and honor that they deserve!
I don’t know about you guys, but I felt there’s a lot of amazing and empowering female characters this season. The surprising part is the variation between them, from straight to gay, to strong woman who can handle their own!
I am satisfied with the female characters within this season.

Take note: I’ll be only picking one character for each anime in order to give chances for others to be in the spotlight!

For our first female on the list, we present you Chizuru Mizuhara, our main gal in Rent-a-girlfriend. They say she is the best girl in the series? Do you agree, or do you think it should be Mami?
Chizuru Mizuhara is our college student main character who happens to work in a company where you can rent a girlfriend, as emphasized in the title. She has a genuine kind soul who is there to help anyone who needs it.
Even though I don’t like the anime because of our degenerate main character, I want to give this girl the honor that she needs after carrying the show for two seasons. As a matter of fact, she and the other females are the sole reason why I can open my eyes and take a quick glance at the series.
She was working because of her grandmother; she was very patient and accepting towards Kazuya. It’s painful to see a toxic main character. But still, Chizuru deserves a spot for giving her best performance this season!
9. Emilco

The next female character who deserves an applause is none other than Emilco! For an anime to receive a new season after a year is truly amazing. Jeez, the Devil is a Part Timer fans who waited for hundreds of years before their wish got granted!
Emilico is our main protagonist notable for her long blonde hair and the maid outfit. She is the living doll who serves Kate. She is a hard working girl who is cheerful a lot of times. She takes good care of her master and her personality just makes everyone drawn into her and form a friendship.
In the Season 2 Emilco keeps the same energy that she has in the previous season, in fact the story and the quality of the new season tops the previous one. It was simple, unique but I don’t think there’s enough hype for it. But Emlico is a character that stood out this season!
8. Faputa

Make way to our Princess as she debuts in the season 2 of Made in Abyss! What an incredible performance on her first appearance. From cuteness to feistiness and of course, her story!
Faputa is known as the last child that came out of Irumyuii. She was labeled as the princess of the Narahetes, by the inhabitants of the village itself. Ironically despite being the princess, she is not allowed to enter the residency.
Faputa is the fluffy character that had a quite tragic backstory, all she ever desired is to have revenge towards the people who caused pain to her mother, however once she discovered the truth, she lost the sense of direction. Her rage was powerful. Even though I love the people of Narahete, I couldn’t help but feel satisfaction when she slaughtered its residents.
After all, her emotion was quite strong.
I think she’s adorable, as well, her primitive way of talking and her introduction gave us a little bit of backstory about Reg as well proving that she is an important character in the anime. Thus, it is fitting for a princess to be offered a place in the Anime Female Characters.
But honestly, I think she stood out the most, Nanachi was just chill throughout the season and Riko was just consistent. It was Faputa and Reg who carried the season 2!
7. Elf

Of course, how can I forget the best tsundere of this season! It’s been a while since we had this main character who likes an ugly main character. More importantly it’s nice we have to see a perfectly done tsundere character.
Now don’t be fazed with the blonde elf that blushes a lot. In fact, why don’t you read her name first? Suzailgiererzegalnelvzegilreagranzelga Elga, did you read right?
She’s a character that is only shown in the memory of our favorite uncle. She is a strong magician who always tags along Uncle in her adventure. She’s a bit sadistic towards our uncle Mc, she calls him an orc and will abuse him from time to time.
But despite it all, she is shown to have an interest towards him after her life was saved by him. To have a Tsundere in this season is something I never imagined I would need in life.
Aside from being tsundere, Elf deserves a spot for liking someone like Uncle. I mean it’s quite rare to see a girl like ugly characters, some “ugly ones”, aren’t ugly at all. But Uncle was given justice, and it proves that there are girls who don’t care about looks.
They just show mixed-signals. PEACE! Anyways make way for Suzailgiererzegalnelvzegilreagranzelga Elga, it’s not like I wanted her to be the best female character okay!
6. Liliruca Arde

Make way for our peep squeak character, and don’t tell her that I said that!
Lili is underrated this season despite her impact in season 4. We get to see Haruhime’s secret ability, and Ryu’s taking an important role in current episodes. But it’s Lili who shines in the first part of the series.
Liliruca Arde is the cunning supporter who tricked Bell multiple times before siding with him. She played an important role in the war games which earned her the freedom to be part of the Hestia Familia.
This Chienthrope child had a lot of development throughout the previous season, and didn’t imagine that she would grow as a better character in Danmachi Season 4. But she proved despite being smol, she can play a big role!
Lili, who is the weakest link in their party, became the leader and tactician that they needed. She became the pillar that they need when the party is about grumbling facing the cunning mysterious plant-based monster. She inspired the adventurers that they helped, for a first-time tactician I would say she did great.

And now, for the Yuri lovers out there! I present to you Chisato from Lycoris Recoil! Our self-proclaimed poster girl is here everybody! Make way, make way!
Chisato Nishikigi is the main gal. The cheerful jolly character, who is a badass fighter who prefers to avoid bloodshed and death, a kind of character who will prefer to neutralize the enemies.
She is a badass character that spreads positivity. Which is why she’s been up in the number one spot in a lot of popularity polls! After all, she herself deserves it for a spectacular season.
4. Vermeil

Another character that debuts this season is Vermeil! A demon girl with a nice body, and sealed in order to protect others! A wholesome demon who just wanted to be accepted.
Vermeil is the main character in Kinsou no Vermeil, a devil with a succubus feature. Summoned by no other than Alto Goldfield, Vermeil became the familiar of our main boy!
She has a curvaceous body, tall and vermillion eyes. She can disguise as a human which caught the attention of literally everyone, especially with the cover up story of Vermeil the human familiar of Alto. Vermeil is straightforward and a bit bold.
She’s a character that loves teasing the main character, she cares for Alto and even every person. She has a kind heart only the main character truly sees the real her, and us viewers of course.
We give her a seat for her outstanding performance in the series of Vermeil in gold. It’s 2022, and the race doesn’t matter, what truly matters is kindness and love no matter what you are!
3. Nazuna

For our next character, we present you the blood sucking, childish! Our teasing vampire who blushes and wiggles whenever she hears any romantic or cheesy lines. It’s your favorite vampire of the night! NAZUNA!
Our laid-back deuteragonist who showed the beauty of the night. She showed nightlife in different aspects while keeping the innocent Kou from the truth. She enters a deal with our main character, to exclusively suck his blood!
Now then, if you’re looking for a reason on why she’s here, well it’s plainly obvious that she is a good character. It’s funny how she is open on adult topics but blushes when it gets romantic. Unlike another vampire, she doesn’t want to create an underling.
Mainly it’s Kou who really shines in the anime but Nazuna was the guide for Kou development. She’s a good partner, someone who teases you, will keep you safe and just wants to have laid back gaming nights with you.
2. Kei Karuizawa

From the perspective of viewers, especially to people who lack empathy, they will never understand the essence of Kei throughout the Classroom of Elite Season 2. We present you the best tool in the Classroom of Elite, while normies might think that’s a bit misogynistic, women aren’t tools. It’s Ayanokoji, everyone is a tool for him!
Kei Karuizawa, first introduced as the spoiled girl who only cares for herself. If you can still remember the first episode, she is one of the students who wasted their points without thinking. She was also Yosuke’s girlfriend.
Kei is a type of character who is prone to get manipulative. The girl masks her true identity, she looks tough and unfazed, she acts like a gyaru which I think it’s her way of coping mechanism to run away from the past. But the truth is, she is sensitive and frail!
In Episode 11, she was beat up and tortured but she didn’t snitch. We give the clap to Ayanokoji for shaping this toxic relationship that they add, but she played the role magnificently.
Kei’s lines were unforgettable, “I will never tell you, I’m actually pretty cool right now, huh?” For once in her life she finally felt something she could be proud of. I appreciate characters and real people like this, because no matter how messed up or how bad you are, once you do something good. I’ll be of the people who will forget your bad deed at the moment, and give you praise.

Before y’all folks get mad! Especially you, yeah talking about you Albedo fans out there! I am an Albedo fan, too, but Renner was the spotlight of Season 4 guys! She was the one who orchestrated the purge, she sacrificed her people, and heck I believe she was the one who stabbed her father for her own sake.
Now I am touching neither the light novel nor the manga of this series because I want to keep it anime only, which I would say is a good decision. Because the last episode of Overlord blew my mind! We finally get to see the dark side of Renner that has been haunting us since the previous season.
This woman is crazy! Would you agree that she is different from all the women in this list? She is obsessive and probably psychopathic, she only cares for herself and that is to have Climb for herself.
But do I admire her? NO! But is she a well-written character? OF COURSE. For a side character to have her own musical at the end of the show, to reveal that it was her all along? That locked my jaw as I am in awe at how brilliant it was.
Again, I love Albedo and even Shalltear was amazing, but I have to give this special seat to Renner guys, sorry not sorry! Here’s the seat for your Ms. Renner even though you’re weird.
Conclusion
Summer 2022 gave us a lot of amazing female characters, honestly all of them deserve a spot! Personally, this is my choice, at the end of day, it’s all subjective! Which is why I will ask you this question.
