No Game No Life is a very colorful anime that involves games and will entertain you a lot if you decide to watch it. No Game No Life History
No Game No Life is originally a light novel series written by Yu Kamiya. It was published in April 2012 and ended in July 2018. The light novel was later adapted into a manga series by Yu Kamiya and his wife, Mashiro Hiiragi in 2013.
The manga series was later adapted into an anime series in April 2014, which ended in July 2014. Its popularity spawned a 6-episode special that was also released in 2014 and an anime movie,No Game No Life: Zero was released in 2017.
No Game No Life Story
The elder brother Sora and the younger sister Shiro are the main characters of this anime series. They’re actually step-siblings and are both shut-ins, “Hikikomori” or “NEET” as it is known in Japanese culture. They merely see the world as a game.
You could now be asking how and where they ended up being isekai’d. The step-siblings accept the challenge to play chess they get in a mail from an anonymous sender right away. Then, out of nowhere, they find themselves in a place called Disboard, where they discover who the sender is.
Tet, who refers to himself as The One True God in that planet, reveals himself to both Shiro and Sora. The laws that should be obeyed in this world, which he constructed, are then described.
The world is run by the Ten Pledges, and everything they do will be determined by games. The siblings then start their gaming journey in Disboard which is full of unknown dangers.

No Game No Life: Zero Story
No Game No Life: Zero takes us to an ancient Disboard where a warrior named Riku wants to save humanity from the Exceed. Humans are in threat of helpless against the Exceeds because they have lost all the power to fight them.
However, one day, Riku comes across a very powerful Ex Machina, whom he names Schwi. As she was abandoned by her own clan because she was researching human emotions, she’s adamant on continuing her research as she believes that it’s the only thing that has made humanity survive for so long.
Both Riku and Schwi partner up and are ready for some exciting adventure waiting for them ahead in the world of Disboard.
No Game No Life Characters
Sora
Sora is the main protagonist of the series and is a shut-in Neet. Despite having a reclusive lifestyle, Sora has shown great interest in the outside world and is quite confident. Unlike normal shut-in Neets, Sora is not shy or nervous at all. He’s quite cunning and manipulative when it comes to negotiation.
He takes very calculated steps, and that’s why he never loses.
Sora becomes weak once he’s separated from his sister, Shiro. He finds himself useless without her because he sees her as his equal and respects her a lot. Sora is also very protective of Shiro and prioritizes her safety over his own.
While mostly appearing to be calm and collected, Sora is prone to panicking when he doesn’t know what to do while battling someone. His nervousness is clearly shown when he’s battling with Chlammy.
Despite being a human, Sora doesn’t really think highly of humans. He hates humans and also hates being one. He wishes to be born somewhere else with Shiro.
Despite being manipulative, Sora does genuinely care for his loved ones, especially shiro. He can’t see her pain and will protect her at all costs. He also sometimes regrets his rude behaviour.

Shiro
Shiro appears to be a stoic girl with an intellectual mind. She is a logical person and is a true genius even at a young age. She’s also really good at chess and has won all chess matches she’s ever played. Other than that, she is a polyglot with fluency in 18 languages.
Shiro is very protective of her brother and is seen to get jealous if Shiro gets close to other girls. She finds herself useless if she’s separated from her brother and needs him with her 24/7 in order to function properly.
Shiro tends to get sarcastic, especially with Stephanie. Other than that, she can get very competitive when it comes to playing games and will do her absolute best in order to win a game. She also has some sadistic tendencies which she rarely shows.
Stephanie Dola
Stephanie is a popular girl and has a lot of friends. She doesn’t really like using violence and tries to resolve matters peacefully. This shows her kind hearted nature.
Stephanie didn’t like the fact that people called her grandfather a fool. She was also regarded as a fool because she was not being too cautious in her affairs.
She’s a loyal and trustworthy girl who does her work perfectly. She’s also good at negotiations and gives instructions in a very clear way. Overall, she’s very kind and loving towards her loved ones and those close to her.
Chlammy Zell
While Chlammy appears to be a confident, emotionless, and cold girl, she’s actually a scaredy cat who is prone to panicking and getting nervous. This was shown when Sora yelled at her. She quickly lost her confidence and cool persona and started crying like a baby.
Chlammy was not very fond of Sora initially, but after seeing through his memories, her opinion about Sora changed and she started respecting him. Chlammy is very insecure about her body and would get furious if anyone says something bad about her body. It is also revealed that she wears fake breast pads in order to look attractive.

Fiel Nirvalen
Fiel appears to be a very basic and dumb girl but in reality, she’s quite intelligent and clever. She is very soft-spoken and always in a good mood. However, she knows when to get serious.
She’s not very fond of Flugels and Dwarves. She absolutely adores Chlammy and will always strive to keep her protected. She’s also very sadistic, especially towards those she absolutely despises. She’s shown to order Jibril to lick her boots.
While she appears to be quite young, but she is actually 52 years old. This makes her very sensitive about her age.
Jibril
While playing games, she hates cheating and also doesn’t tolerate cheaters. She’s very submissive in front of both Sora and Shiro and refers to them as “Master”. Jibril harbors feelings for Sora and ends up confessing to him. She’s even ready to bear Sora’s child.
She appears to have masochistic tendencies which could be seen in the anime. She gets super-excited while she’s being humiliated. Other than that, Jibril is absolutely ruthless while battling and doesn’t mind shedding a lot of blood.
Izuna Hatsuse
Izunu is extremely adorable and is loved by both Sora and Shiro. Izuna shares the same feelings with them and loves being petted by them.
While she’s very innocent and pure, she appears to be very competitive during games. She never had fun while playing games but after meeting Sora and Shiro, she started enjoying them.
Tet
Tet appears to be a very playful and cheerful individual. He didn’t really like violence as seen in his rules he made for Disboard. He doesn’t really interfere between the games being played in Disboard. He’s not very fond of the Old Deus and considers them very boring.
