Hellsing, Hellsing… no it ain’t about singing in hell—or maybe the anime (of the same title) in a nutshell is, though technically speaking, Hellsing is a name of an organization. Hailed as one of the best animes of its decade, Hellsing still reigns as a classic piece because of its outstanding fight scenes both in animation and manga.

This action–horror series revolves around the search and termination of the evil supernatural entities that deems to be a threat to the queen and the country. Sounds plain? Well, trust me when I say it isn’t because if you haven’t watched this yet and you let it pass or rot in your watch list, I’m telling ya, you’re missing out… A LOT. Though if it is already on your watch list, whatcha waitin’ for? Apocalypse? No worries because we might just get there soon enough provided the current global events right now HAHA! Kidding… or not.

The British government has a long list of secrets, and the Hellsing Organization is one of ‘em. It’s basically like a department of soldiers—not to fight terrorists—but supernatural creatures that usually lurk at night… and surprise, surprise, these are not just ordinary supernatural creatures, they all root from a rival organization, specifically, the Vatican and The Millenium Organization—yep, you read it right, the Vatican. Told ya they’re sus ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
One of the best fighters from the Hellsing Organization is, of course, Alucard, the protagonist… who is actually a vampire. Ironic, huh? But yeah you get the point. Along with him are Seras, his new minion, and Integra’s butler, Walter. The story mostly revolves around them and how they exterminate vampires and ghouls. Although of course, I have to warn you, if you haven’t watched it yet, and you are too sensitive and ain’t fond of horror, ya better not eat a heavy meal before watching or while watching because no one’s gonna clean up your vomit for you, ya know?
CHARACTERS INCLUDED
Alucard
The most powerful weapon of the Hellsing Organization, Alucard, is pretty much the cruel and reckless type. He barely has hesitations in his body when it comes to fighting. However, no stone is too tough forever. Despite being a vampire, he still retains a small portion of humanity as tears still fall from his eyes when he feels sad about things that have something to do with his parents.
If you got Alucard, then most probably you’re the type who always acts tough as a façade with the “I can rule the world alone” energy, but actually have a soft side hidden within.
Seras Victoria
Turned into a vampire after a near-death experience, Seras is a strong, independent woman—so strong that everyone, more often than not, mistakens her as a tomboy. She has and always has been true to her morals and values, hence she always stands for ‘em no matter what happens.
Seras’ best qualities are bravery for not backing down on challenges, and being loyal and trustworthy. Found your qualities yet? Well you should, you got her, didn’t ya?
Integra Hellsing
The head and last member of the Hellsing family, and is also Alucard’s master, Integra! The hottie, to-die-for woman, is very much composed almost all the time as she never budges nor bothers to join petty earthly fights—she’s always been the collected type of person with a “strictly business” aura around her regardless of the situation.
But here’s the thing, despite being a total bad b, she’s just a hair strand away from being humor deprived. Guess a person really can’t have everything, huh?
Walter C. Dornez
Pave the way for the character development king! Who would’ve thought that the perfect English butler—polite, graceful, diligent, and smart was originally foul-mouthed, very loud, sadistic, and short-tempered? I mean, I know a lot of guys who had this kind of character development, but we just can’t get enough of it knowing that these developments take so much courage and strength—not exactly a rare thing, but a commendable one, for sure!
Despite all the betrayal, Walter sure was a man of pride and principles who loved sincerely. So if you got Walter, you’re doing just fine. Don’t repeat his mistakes tho!
CONCLUSION
This series is basically one h of a ride, so don’t forget to catch your breath. I personally love this genre, so no problem on my part. How ‘bout you though?
