Made in Abyss anime was released back in 2017. With its unique concept of a deep abyss where you face a lot of hardships for your loved ones, this anime made its fans quite sentimental. Since this anime connects us to the characters on a personal level. So, whenever something bad happens to our favorite character we get very sad. 

If you’re wondering what Made in Abyss is about, it’s about a 12-years-old girl named Riko who wishes to find her mother. To do so, she has to enter the abyss and face many challenges. One day, she finds a humanoid robot named Reg who becomes her buddy and accompanies Riko on her journey to the abyss. 

With many smart and strong characters included in this anime, we’re going to be looking at 10+ STRONGEST Made in Abyss Characters. Without further ado, let’s get started! 

THE STRONGEST AMONG ALL CHARACTERS IN MADE IN ABYSS

11. Marulk 

Marulk is one of the Delvers who live in the Seeker Camp right on the second layer of the Abyss. The Seeker Camp is right alongside the White Whistle Delver. Despite Marulk’s young age, he’s a Blue Whistle Delver already. He was also an apprentice of a White Whistle Delver too. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 13)

As for his roles, he’s in charge of telescopes inside his camp and is often looking at the surroundings so that if something shows up, the camp gets ready for the worst possible situation. Before Marulk came to the Abyss with his father, he belonged to the Jeseku’s royalty a.k.a. child of the shadows. The children of shadows had no life expectancy. For instance, they could die at the age of 10. 

Marulk has two basic abilities. One of them includes Delving Skills. He has shown enough expertise to prove that he’s a Blue Whistle Delver. Marulk is known to be more skillful than most kids his age as a Delver. He’s also more than capable of surviving by himself in hazardous situations. No joke, he’s been living in the 2nd layer of the abyss. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 17) Another skill that he possesses is seeing through a telescope.

10. Riko 

Riko is one of the main characters in Made in Abyss. Her mother is a White Whistle Delver. She wants to find her mother and that’s why she wants to become a White Whistle Delver as well. She’s the only child of Lyza, the Annihilator. When she was just two, her mother began to dive to the very bottom of the abyss. Riko faced a lot of difficulties, for instance, her father died before her birth too. That’s why she was left at the Belchero Orphanage. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 5) 

As for her strength, she has general knowledge of things. She knows many things about the Abyss and its plants, along with the artifacts (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 33). In fact, she’s a smart learner too! Once you’ve taught her something, she makes sure to memorize it instantly. Thus, she’s smarter than most of the characters in Made in Abyss. Using the ancient artifacts, she can survive different monsters inside the abyss. 

9. Prushka

Prushka was adopted by the White Whistle’s Delver Bondrewd. Prushka was born inside the abyss and has never seen the top of the abyss. Like Riko, she’s cute, smart, and cheerful. Since she lived the majority of her life in the fifth layer of the abyss, she grew up curious as to what lies at its top. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 37) 

What makes her one of the strongest characters is that she can draw out the true power of Relics. After becoming a Whistle, she can activate ancient devices. For instance, an ancient device was seen with the Altar of the Absolute Boundary and she drew out its true power along with Reg (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 39). Prushka can activate ancient powerful devices and can use them too. So, you better hide from her.

Another skill of hers is that she has basic medical knowledge. Prushka literally grew up under a powerful Delver which made her knowledgeable about many things. She knows about human anatomy and  can treat wounds as well! (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 30) These skills make her one of the strongest Made in Abyss characters of all time. 8. Mitty 

Mitty is one of the hollow beings who became a narehate after the curse of the sixth layer of the abyss. What’s a narehate? It’s a being whose body deforms due to a curse. Unfortunately, Mitty went through it, but the thing is she became immortal! Since she became immortal, no matter what kind of experiments Bondrewd did on her, it didn’t work. Thus, all of his chemicals were neutralized due to the poisons and venom inside Mitty. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 23) 

However, as a human, Mitty wanted to be one of the White Whistle Delvers. She was very enthusiastic about it and was always helping people. Her intelligence disappeared after she turned into a Narehate and she couldn’t talk to Nanachi. Mitty is only able to create soft noises and crawl. It wouldn’t be wrong to place such an immortal hollow in the top 9th spot for the strongest Made in Abyss characters. 

7. Jiruo 

Jiruo is without a doubt one of the most powerful and intelligent characters in Made in Abyss.. He serves as a teacher for other Delvers. So, just imagine the power that he holds! OOF! Well, he also took care of the orphans in Belchero Orphanage. Thus, he’s quite responsible for their upbringing as well! (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 1) 

As far as his abilities are concerned, he’s a Moon Whistle. He has a lot of knowledge about The Abyss, and he gives tricks and tips to the young Delvers as well. For his personality, he can come off as a cold human being at times because he takes his job very seriously. Even though he’s not very fit physically, his brain works even in the most dangerous situations. So if you stay with Jiruo in the Abyss, you’re going to survive! 

6. Hablog 

Hablog is a popular Black Whistle who delivered Lyza’s White Whistle along with final notes to the surface. He’s also known as “Habo-san” by all the children. He’s a very likeable person and is kind too. Hablog was seen for the first time during his interaction with Riko. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 10) 

Since he’s a Black Whistle Delver, he’s got amazing tracking skills and his endurance is no joke either. Hablog is determined to become a White Whistle Delver. We can observe his tracking abilities when he tracked Reg and Riko on the very first layer and caught up to these kids in no time. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 9) Hablog also has a diversity of knowledge about the Abyss and the White Whistle Delvers. 

What makes him one of the strongest characters in Made in Abyss? Well, his physical strength, knowledge, and augmented speed! The way he caught up to Reg and Riko is simply mind-blowing. Yes, it was all thanks to his speed. Usually, huge guys aren’t that quick, but Hablog is surely one of those giant guys who can move around quickly. 

5. Nanachi 

Nanachi is also regarded as one of the most powerful characters in Made in Abyss. She survived the curse of the 6th layer and thus became a narehate. But unlike other narehate, she didn’t deform to an extreme extent. She has a sound mind and has a large amount of knowledge about the Abyss. Nanachi is extremely smart, and she can use medicines. Her current party is Riko. She’s together with Riko to unravel various mysteries inside the Abyss. 

Nanachi is a cool individual who keeps her distance from everyone, emotionally and physically. Sometimes, she can become a bit cynical too. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 41) 

Some of Nanachi’s skills include Observation skills, Curse Detection skills, and Extensive knowledge. These are some of the skills that make her one of the strongest characters in Made in Abyss! She can literally detect curses that are the mysterious forces behind the human beings who suffer from the Abyss. Thus, she knows about the curse right before it affects someone. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 21) 

4. Lyza 

Even though not much is known about her abilities just yet. She is one of the most legendary White Whistle Delvers of all time. Lyza is known as “The Annihilator.” She’s Riko’s mother, who has accomplished many great things in her life. Lyza is called “The Lord of Annihilation” for demolishing her enemies whenever she encounters them. Lyza is strong to the extent of defeating huge, creepy monsters all by herself. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 5) 

Lyza is known to possess outstanding Delver Skills. Since she had a natural talent as an excavator and a combatant, she displayed outstanding Delver skills inside the Abyss. She set so many records that are still unbeaten. Could she be the overpowered MC in Made in Abyss? Lyza has gone deeper inside the Abyss than almost anyone else. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 5) 

3. Reg 

Reg is the humanoid robot who thinks that he’s from the Abyss and has lost his memories. As a result, he gangs up with Riko to discover the Abyss and what lies inside. Nobody knows his real name yet. He was given the name  Reg by Riko. He has an artificial body that is immune to all the curses inside the Abyss. Isn’t that a good thing? Sometimes people call him “The Treasure of the Deep”. (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 10) 

As far as his abilities are concerned, he has super durability that allows him to get hit by many things and not get damaged. Well, his body is super durable to the point that Ozen the Unmovable couldn’t break him! Imagine the strongest guy being unable to defeat you because you have a very strong surface! (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 16) Isn’t that so cool? He also has some other abilities like heightened senses, extendable arms, and Incinerator. 

2. Bondrewd 

Bondrewd is also known as “The Lord of the Dawn”. He’s considered to be one of the strongest characters in Made in Abyss. He’s a researcher who often gets intrigued by the Abyss. Bondrewd is also involved in many illegal activities like developing dangerous drugs and selling artifacts, etc. 

Bondrewd owns a very dangerous artifact known as the Soul-Slave Machine that enables him to control souls. Sounds horrifying, right? He uses this machine to control the souls of other people. Humans are unable to endure such a powerful curse that might leave them crippled (Made in Abyss Manga: Chapter 36). Bondrewd has collected so many dangerous artifacts. 1. Ozen 

Now, we have the strongest character in Made in Abyss, the Immovable Ozen. She’s a White Whistle Delver who has made many outstanding discoveries inside the Abyss. She has retrieved so many special artifacts. Ozen is known for her amazing physical strength, making her unstoppable. Ozen likes to fight alone, and she has 120,000 pins inside her that give her superhuman strength.
