Fairy Tail is the kind of shounen anime that will have you hooked to it in no time. I’m pretty sure most of you have already watched it at some point in your lives. 1. Natsu Dragneel
Natsu believes that he can solve any issue with the use of brute force which explains why Natsu is quite violent although he doesn’t really hold any kind of grudge. He’s quite forgiving and doesn’t want to be like his enemies.Natsu is powerful and is constantly trying to prove to others how powerful he is. He challenges those stronger than him but loses every single time. However, he doesn’t hold any kind of grudge against them nor is he jealous of them in any way. The other guild members are also very scared of Erza, knowing very well what will happen if they make her angry.
Erza has no patience. She needs the results quickly and will not wait for anyone. Her personality pushed away the other guild members, leaving her alone. Due to her childhood being quite rough, her personality was shaped like that. Erza holds her guild very dear and is very proud of being a part of it. She’s very strong and reliable. She has a very strong sense of justice and condemns unfair means of gaining something.
While Erza appears to be a tough lady, she’s also fond of girly things including cute clothes and other girly stuff. She feels very guilty about not being able to protect those close to her.
She doesn’t really hesitate wearing skimpy clothes and most of her clothes are revealing and feminine. She doesn’t really feel shame in revealing her body to the opposite gender. Erza is unable to hold her liquor as well. She becomes very violent when she’s drunk. She also can’t seem to recognize others when she’s in that state. Overall, Erza is a strong, independent and reliable lady who is always there to help her guild-mates.
3. Lucy Heartfilia
Lucy Heartfilia is a member of the Fairy Tail Guild. She’s extremely pretty and is very proud of the fact that she’s more attractive than most of the women out there. Yeah, you guessed it right, she’s quite narcissistic. Despite her prideful personality, she’s very kind and caring. Lucy belonged to a very influential family but left it after the death of her mother. She didn’t have a very good relationship with her father so she decided to do things on her own.
Lucy is very fond of literature. She plans on writing a novel about her adventures with the guild. However, she’s keeping it a secret. She treats her Celestial Spirits as her friends and doesn’t like using them in order to protect herself. Lucy is a scaredy cat yet, she still musters up courage and fights bravely.
She can’t bear watching her team members getting hurt in any way. She uses her mind to get out of sticky situations in battle which proves her to be a skilled combatant.
Lucy doesn’t like using force on anyone. She likes to avoid any kind of fight and believes anything can be solved with words. Her guild-mates, on the other hand, get very excited about fighting. Overall, Lucy is a pure soul who is very kind and gentle towards others.
4. Zeref Dragneel
Zeref Dragneel is the elder brother of Natsu Dragneel and is considered the strongest and the most dangerous mage of all time. Zeref is the master of Black Arts and has created many Demons who are distorting the peace of the World to date. He’s hundreds of years old. In the present era, he doesn’t like to be around people and is very calm and composed. He’s guilty of all his sins and wants to atone for them by dying. He warns others of him and tells them to stay away from him at all times, as he may prove dangerous for them. He gets very emotional upon seeing Natsu.
Other than that, Zeref has a very strong sense of justice and punishes those who are evil. He seems to be in conflict all the time. He hates humanity but also hates the evil forces that are not humane.
5. Gray Fullbuster
Gray Fullbuster is a member of the Fairy Tail Guild and is a very cool and laid-back individual. However, he knows when to get serious. He sees Natsu as a competitor and both of them often get into friendly fights to determine who’s stronger between the two. But both of them are very caring towards each other and also think about each other’s well-being.
When Gray was young, he was very careless but as time passed, he had to get mature and started taking things seriously. He’s very careful when it comes to problem-solving. When it comes to his guildmates, he is very helpful towards them but doesn’t hesitate pointing out any bad habits in them. There are a few comic moments in anime when Gray ends up removing his clothes at the most inappropriate time. Overall, Gray is a very capable combatant and a very reliable person. He’s definitely one of the Strongest Fairy Tail Characters.
6. Happy
Happy is one of the members of the Fairy Tail Guild. He has an eccentric nature but cares deeply for his guild-mates. He’s also very loyal to them. Happy is very knowledgeable about Magic. Heappears to be very intelligent and likes being cheeky with Lucy. He’s usually fun to be around but often scares everybody from the devastating effects of magic that his guild-mates use. Happy is a comic-relief character of Fairy Tail. He’s a clown, to be precise.
7. Gajeel Redfox
Gajeel is not interested in making friends. However, he ends up interacting with people and getting close to them all the time. He loves singing. However, his singing voice is terrible and a nightmare for the rest of his guild.
He’s fearless in the face of dangers and always leaves himself open for his opponents. Gajeel feels guilty for whatever he’s done in the past and is open to his targets to take revenge on him. This shows that Gajeel is not a terrible person at all. He’s very protective towards his guild-mates and will protect them whenever they’re in danger.
Gajeel has a really bad temper and is annoyed very easily, lashing out on his fellow guild-mates whenever they irritate him in any way. Despite his serious personality, Gajeel can be funny at times. He also gets emotional and vulnerable at times. Gajeel has a tough as well as a soft side to him.

8. Juvia Lockser
Juvia used to be a Mage of the Phantom Lord guild but joined the Fairy Tail guild later when the former was disbanded. She used to be a serious lady who doesn’t like to be around people when she was in the Phantom Lord guild. However, after joining the Fairy Tail Guild, she became more cheerful and open to everyone.
Juvia possesses feelings for Gray Fullbuster. She’s jealous of every girl who comes near Gray and considers the girl her enemy. She also appears to be a little masochistic.
Other than that, Juvia is very kind towards everyone, usually calling them respectfully. She’s very caring towards her guild-mates and has shown to try to sacrifice herself for the sake of her guild. She’s very thankful towards her guild-mates as they did not make her feel awful about her history with the Phantom Lord Guild. Juvia is also a very modest woman and doesn’t like getting her body exposed to anyone, even girls. Overall, Juvia is a very kind and gentle lady who can sometimes show masochistic tendencies if pushed.
9. Wendy Marvell
Wendy is a Sky Dragon Slayer and also a member of the Fairy Tail guild. She’s a shy and timid girl but despite her shyness, she’s very willing to make friends. Wendy is very loyal to her guild-mades and will go out of her way to help them. She was never confident of her abilities, always beating herself up because of her insecurity. However, after spending more time as a Fairy Tail Guild member, she became more confident of her abilities, never backing down in any kind of situation.
Wendy possesses exceptional intelligence despite her young age. She’s also very honest about her feelings in front of everyone. She’s easily impressed by people around her. Despite her status as a Dragon Slayer, she doesn’t like fighting. She used to be a coward before but went through character development, cut her hair short, and became very confident. She told herself that she won’t cry anymore and will stay strong no matter what. Overall, Wendy is a sweetheart.
10. Mirajane Strauss
Mirajane’s personality changed after the death of her younger sister. She lost the will to fight and became numb. In the present, Mirajane is a friendly and loving person who is very nice towards her guild-mates. Now, she doesn’t get angry easily nor does she bad-mouth anyone. She’s also very kind towards strangers.
Mirajane cares deeply about her comrades. She’s always there to help them and is very protective about them. She set herself as bait for the Phantom Lord Guild in order to help her comrades.
Mirajane enjoys immense popularity. She has many talents including modeling, singing and playing guitar. She has a nurturing nature as she’s able to cook well and take care of her loved ones really well. Overall, Mirajane is one of the sweetest characters in Fairy Tail.
11. Laxus Dreyar
Laxus is the grandson of the Master of the Fairy Tail Guild and also a member of it. Laxus used to be very kind and cheerful in his younger days but when his father got excommunicated, he realized that he’s only popular because of his grandfather and not his own abilities. This made him want to prove that he’s skilled and relies on nobody to have any kind of fame.
Initially, Laxus appeared to be a very arrogant and vain guy. He believed that he was the strongest guy in his guild. He didn’t hesitate making fun of his guild-mates. He didn’t care about his guild-mates and always looked down upon them. He was even willing to fight them if they ever came between him and his goal. He didn’t even respect the girls of his guild and openly showed his lecherous nature.
After a while, when he was excommunicated, his personality changed greatly. He became humble and also grew fond of his guild. He was guilty of the things he did and was willing to take responsibility for the horrible things he did. When it comes to combat skills, Laxus is definitely formidable. He becomes ruthless in battles, never fearing his opponents and challenging them openly. As he was supposed to succeed his grandfather as the master of the guild, he decided to eliminate all the weak members of the guild but later he was seen to change his decision and opinion about the weaker guild-mates.
