What comes to your mind when you hear the word or title Berserk? For me, it’s a bunch of warriors and a lot of blood-shed. Well, that’s actually true! The main character is an overpowered guy who has faced betrayal and now nobody can stop him from getting revenge! This anime is the perfect example of anime where the MC gets betrayed. 

Berserk revolves around Guts who is a solo swordsman and Griffith who is the leader of a mercenary band known as the “Band of the Hawks.” The story begins with their interaction and how they become nakamas until something dramatic happens!

Guts

Guts is known as a Black Swordsman who is constantly struggling and going through many difficult situations. Many times he has to protect himself and his loved ones from danger. So, being Guts isn’t easy at all. He’s a warrior who’s not only physically strong but mentally too. He’s the type of guy who’d stand strong no matter how dangerous a situation is. Also, he’s quite rigid when it comes to achieving his goals.

Guts is the type of guy who will always be there to sacrifice his life for his loved ones without expecting them to do the same for him. Griffith 

Griffith is known to be the leader of the Band of the Hawks. Since he fought so many battles, he became famous as the savior and is known as the Falcon of Light. And because he’s known to be the leader of the Band of the Hawks, he’s a responsible man with good leadership skills who have always aimed to win the battles across the continent. No matter what happens, Griffith will never lose his focus. He strategizes before entering the battlefield which tells us how able he is. 

We all know how well of a fashion sense Griffith has, his class is on the next level. We always see this guy behaving in a well-mannered way, right? Many people become astonished to see his manners and often praise him for that too. 

If you got Griffith, you have a strong sense of ambition and belief. You like to believe in yourself more than others. Also, you don’t like when others tell you to do something. Like Griffith, you want to lead others instead of them telling you to do certain tasks.

Griffith has always believed in himself before anyone else. That’s why he succeeds in doing most of the things. So, now you know just how strong and unstoppable your manifesting powers actually are. 

Casca

Casca is one of the main female protagonists of the anime. She used to be the commander of the Band of Hawks. She’s one of the right arms of Guts who has always been there for him. Casca has played a huge role in most of the successes of her group. After certain incidents, Casca had to rule the band. Thus, as a leader, she proved to be really skillful since she has always been determined. 

If you got Casca on the quiz, you’re really strong-willed and don’t give up easily. You have great leading abilities if you’re given a chance. Others might often look down on you but you don’t take that to heart. You like to surprise them with your hidden abilities. She has lived a hard life, to become a mercenary she had to leave behind her femininity. That’s why she wears men’s clothes and acts tough. Well, plot twist, she has become tough. Judeau 

Judeau is one of the members of the Band of the Hawks. Judeau is known to be one of the best fighters. His main ability is to read the emotions of other people. For instance, he was able to tell the chemistry between Casca and Guts. 

If you got Judeau, you’re very calm and composed. You don’t mean any harm to others and your intuitions are mostly right. Thus, you tend to have a strong belief in your intuitions. You’re always there to help others even if it means going out of the way. You like people with pure intentions who don’t fake things in front of you. Like Judeau, you have an optimistic personality, and you are seen as hopeful, reassuring others that everything will be alright eventually. 

He’s such a fun character since he’s chill with everything and tends to understand other people’s feelings. He’s selfless and easy-going. And despite Judeau having feelings for Casca, he remained silent since he had huge respect for Guts. That explains how respectful he is of Guts. Rickert 

Rickert is one of the youngest members belonging to the Band of the Hawks. He wasn’t there for Guts when the eclipse happened. As a result, he was left in the dark. He became a trainee of Blacksmith Godo in the next two years. He forged a sword in the memory of his comrades to give out the grave markers that said, “The Hill of Swords.” Like Rickert, you’re gentle and rational. He’s very clumsy but tries to hide that side of him. You do tend to focus on one thing at a time that’s how you slowly build up yourself and achieve your goals. 

Like Rickert, you don’t like burdening others with your needs. If you do rely on someone, you make sure that you give them the best of what you have. It’s really fun to see Rickert in action since he’s one of the youngest members who freshens us up during dark times. 

Once Rickert makes up his mind, he doesn’t like to doubt his choices. For instance, he was unable to forgive Griffith and that’s exactly why he turned down his offer of making Rickert join his new Band of the Hawks. So, if you got Rickert, you’re well-focused. Keep believing in yourself! Let’s go! 

Puck 

Puck is known as the Wind Spirit. This elf can only be seen by open-minded people. Those who are very religious are unable to see him. Puck proved to be of great help since by secreting a magical powder from his wings, he can heal literally anyone. He can also emit a blind flash in front of his enemies to blind them. 

If you got Puck on the quiz, you love helping others with whatever you have. Just like Puck, you’re always there for everyone and are good-natured as well. There’s going to be a new comic relief character in Berserk known as Female Elf Ivalera who develops a playful brotherly relationship with Puck. 

As an individual, he stands out from the rest of the characters due to his whimsical nature. His light-hearted presence will surely make you guys feel good. Even though this elf is mostly with Guts, he’s so different from Guts. If you got Puck, you know you’re the main character of your world. It’s really important to have characters like these in stories with dark plots or situations. It makes you feel better even when the main character is in extremely dangerous situations. Farnese De Vandimion 

Farnese De Vandimion belonged to Guts’ party and was the one to lead the Holy See’s Ceremonial Guard. Due to her poor upbringing and sad childhood, she isn’t really stable. For instance, she tends to burn the things she doesn’t like. This made her become sadistic and find pleasure in burning things. 

If you got Farnese De Vandimion, you act impulsively. You tend to make decisions all of a sudden instead of thinking things through. You don’t like to follow a proper schedule, you’re very random. She tends to accept reality real quick and can give in easily too. 

Basically, she was neglected by her parents after she was born, that’s why she’s mostly overwhelmed and burning things to the extent of finding pleasure in doing so. If you want to find out more about this character, make sure to watch Berserk! 

Nosferatu Zodd

Nosferatu Zodd is one of the antagonists in the anime. He’s a bloodthirsty evangelist who has lived for three centuries now. He has won many battles and is a worthy opponent. He can also turn into a beast with the tail of a tiger. How scary yet interesting is that! 

If you got Zodd, you already hold so much power! You don’t fear any obstacles that come your way. Thus, you face dangerous situations by being headstrong. If you have to defeat anyone in any field of life, you make sure to do so. 

As an enemy, this guy’s determination is worth-appreciating. He’s super dangerous. If you see him on the streets, you better hide under your sheets. Zodd has amazing durability and swordsman abilities. He gave a hard time to our toughest warrior, Guts. Imagine how strong Zodd is! His tactics are unmatched when it comes to battling his opponents. It’s like he’s super prepared for everything even before the battle starts as if he enjoys slaughtering people. I mean, yes he does since he has been slaughtering a lot of people for three centuries.
