The art and animation is good since it compliments the overall theme of the story and the soundtracks, not to mention that the OST is a total banger.

RECAP
Akira and Ryo Reunites
It introduced us to Akira Fudo, a highschool student and a track and field athlete, and his only friend, Miki Makimura. Akira is a sensitive person, who cries whenever someone dies, whether it is his relatives or just an acquaintance. He’s basically a crybaby.
We are also introduced to Koji Nagasaki, Miki’s manager and photographer and was frequently inviting her to his studio. However, after multiple attempts it is still unsuccessful.
One day, Akira reunites with his childhood friend, Ryo Asuka. Ryo told Asuka about the existence of demons, the growth of their population in this world, and how they are a great threat to humanity.
Ryo seeks help from Akira to expose the demons by being possessed by a demon in order to kill all the demons.
Once they reach their location which is a nightclub, Ryo lured the demons by showing their true forms through attacking other people and spilling blood all around the place.
The massacre begins showing all the demons killing, devouring all of the people present at the nightclub. While Ryo hiddenly films the event. Akira was possessed by a demon named Amon and started slaughtering all of the demons in his way.
Akira and Ryo against the Demons
The day after the incident, Akira changes—like a lot. From facial structures, personality, he even achieved superhuman speed and strength and a never ending hunger. Ryo tells Akira that he obtains the body of the demon while having a human heart.
Akira also wants to help Ryo, his best friend, in eliminating all the demons and protecting his friend, Miki, and other citizens which forms a bond between them having them trust one another.
Meanwhile a person who is considered a Chief Priest of Hosen Temple was being killed by a group of demons in a dark place. In the background, there was a short introduction about Kaim and Silene.
Later on, Akira finds out that the Chief Priest of Hosen Temple has been missing for a few days, making him emotional which shows that he still is the Akira that we know despite his changes.
One night, Akira and Ryo went to where the demons were located, hence they caught a pack of them feasting on a victim that they kidnapped. Koji Nagasaki is secretly filming the incident in the garbage container.
When one of the demons notices it and starts walking towards the garbage container. Akira arrives together with Ryo and upon discovering that the demons killed the Chief Priest, Akira was furious and started killing all the demons.
After filming all the necessary evidence, Koji fled and Ryo started to chase him but he failed.
The day after, Koji showed the evidence of demons to his editor but he insisted on the photos of Miki instead of the video footage. The editor showed interest since he is a demon and doesn’t want to expose their existence. He takes over Koji’s body while trying to meet up with Miki.
After Ryo identified that the person who filmed last night was Koji Nagasaki, they tracked down his home and upon searching, they found out his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Miki arrived at the destination drenched by the rain, and she rushed to the shower. While she is secretly being filmed in the bathroom by the demons disguised as Koji and the editor, the demon who is inside Koji successfully captures Miki since she is related to Akira.
When Akira decided to save Miki from danger, they ended up being greeted by a Miki who got possessed by a demon. This allows Akira and Ryo to capture and kill the demons who threatened Miki.
After successfully rescuing her, Ryo proposes to kill Miki since she may have potentially known about the existence of demons. Akira declines since she was a special person for Akira. This sparks a conflict between him and Ryo.
Ryo believes that no one should be trusted. However, upon persuasion of Akira, Ryo decided to spare Miki’s life.
Akira vs Amon
After some time, Akira and Ryo swear to kill all the demons who endanger humanity. And upon killing multiple demons, Akira also faced multiple people who are related to him. This became a problem for Akira since he knew them.
Ryo is the one convincing Akira to come to his senses telling him to leave his feelings and take the rational way.
We also had a quick glimpse, where there is an organization of demons disguised as humans where they share information to one another.
Akira sometimes takes the lists of the location of the demons from Ryo without him noticing, and goes there alone. This results to him going back wounded after a fight. This troubles Ryo since after a few days, Akira is acting strange lately and advises him to take a rest.
This is because of the demon being inside him, letting its pleasure take over Akira. Will Akira be able to overcome and control his body? And will he be able to protect all the people around him?
