When we say fox anime, the first thing that comes to our mind is the nine-tailed fox, Kyūbi of Naruto. Well, sad to say, this is not about the list of the best Fox anime. I don’t know if it is considerably fox monsters, but for this list, I’ll be presenting you 10 of the best fox Pokemon.
Table of Contents
Gotta remind you that cat pokemon are different from foxes… and you can not even find Kyubi there. But, instead of Kyubi, we could still have a nine-tailed fox but a Pokemon version… I’m kinda referring to Alolan and Kantonian Ninetales.
I know you can’t wait anymore for the more fox Pokemon we have on our list, sooo here are the 10 Best Fox Pokemon.

Some of you may find foxes too scary and wild. Luckily, this fox pokemon is something you can keep at your home… if it really exists in real life. Let’s just pretend you’re petting it already, so what are you going to expect from this cute and flammable Pokemon?
This Pokémon is one of the cutest fire-type Pokémon. Fennekin is too hot to the point that it can reach more than 200°C, which blows his ears when he feels threatened. I know this may sound too intimidating, but trust me, when you can manage to pet this Pokémon, this is one thing that you can brag about to your friends.
Well, other than his overload of hotness, he also has some cute sides that make him too adorable. He loves snacking on twigs. This helps give him the energy he needs to generate more and more fiery stuff. Tho, there are times that Fennekin may appear temperamental, just consider this one a bonus self-defense for you and him. Any Pokemon trainer will be a good Fennekin. Ash also has a Fennekin once, but it evolved into Braixen, and they really look like they are playing every match very well together.

This Pokemon was introduced by Pokemon Sword and Shield. You can actually see its ability in its name. We can say, just like the fox in Dora, this fox also likes to steal stuff, which is also known as nicking. But the main thing that catches his attention to steal are the foods of other pokemon. If you’re already a fan of the world’s greatest robber, then you can also relate to how this pokemon cleans his mess after stealing, well, by just simply clearing prints and clues that they’re the one who made it.
Other than being included in one of the most strategic robberies you could think of, this pokemon is one of the big-brained criminals you could ever encounter. Even Conan Edogawa could not track who did the crime. Hmmmm… I don’t know but I think it would be a fun play to have Conan and Nickit in a movie altogether.

When talking about fox Pokemon, we could not create a list without having this dark-type Pokemon. Zorua may seem too cute to become a dark-type Pokemon, but I’m really sure that the cuteness he has will soon be out of this world when you see him start fighting. Using his powers of illusion, you can easily get confused because Zorua can take the image of the Pokémon of his last opponent. This makes Zorua start avoiding the damage being dealt by the opponents.
Illusion has been one of the greatest disguises. This is actually one of the things that makes Zorua more advantageous than the other Pokemon. With these techniques, it can beat opponents pretty easily. Let’s just add some of its high level of mobility, the game could end a lot quicker.

When talking about the best Fox Pokemon, we could never miss this one.Vulpix has actually been taking our early stage of Pokemon experience. Can you remember Brock? Well, he has a Kantonian Vulpix. But waaiitt, if you’re not familiar with the Vulpix, there are actually two types of Vulpix. The first one is the Kantonian, or the fiery one, and the second one is the Alonan, or the icy one. Both of them will also evolve into a nine-tailed fox with their respective Alonan and Kantonian versions.
I know that both Vulpix may seem too cute to become powerful, but we should never underestimate their capabilities and moves. The Kantonian Vulpix can do fire blasts, embers, and fire spins that can melt opponents down with extreme heat, while the Alolan can do different moves like icy winds, tail whips, and icy breath that can freeze and disable opponents.
We still have numerous lists of moves that can be performed by both Kantonian and Alolan Vulpix. It includes iron tails, tackle, and many more. What do you think of the limits of the moves that Vulpix can perform? Well, with extreme training and maximizing ability, Vulpix can simply outperform a final form Pokemon.

Eevee could be one of the most popular Pokemons we have. It has seven eeveelutions, though. Just pick your coolest bet among the elements there. But still, my favorite among them is Eevee. I’m kinda biased, but this is based on cuteness. Imagine taking care of a fragile fox-like pokemon. I would rather choose Eevee than Flareon, Leafeon, Jolteon, Glaceon, Umbreon and many more.
You could be thinking that Eevee’s contribution is just purely based on cuteness, to tell you, Eevee has been used by Ash as the 10th pokemon he caught. And you can surely know that a pokemon is powerful enough when our favorite MC has it.
Among the list, Eevee is really the most fox-like of it all. The eyes, the ears, the tails and the furr, it is something what a typical fox would have. What do you think? Do you think Eevee is more-likely a cat or a fox?

This Pokemon does not have any major appearances yet. It only has a minor appearance in Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. You may look at this pokemon then say “Swiper no Swiping ”... you will not because you’re not even Dora, and Thievul is not trying to steal your stuff… well he actually steals stuff, but the thing is, its not your stuff. He also doesn’t say “ohhh mennn” after you start saying “swiping no swiping” repeatedly.
Thievul is a vulpine Pokémon with just an average build and a long tail. So you have no reason to be intimidated by this fox. The whiskers he has are actually making him resemble someone a lot like Swiper. I don’t know about it but a mustache really makes a man look so cool, and Thievul really have the best mustache that suits him the best.
Other than an extremely cool look, this Pokémon also has the best strategy for attacking opponents. He usually puts a scent on enemies and tracks them down until they are weak. Thievul then uses some powers of its claws and body. Most of its attacks are actually under the element of darkness, so his opponents will not be burned down or chilled to death because their minds will simply be on death without even knowing it.

We all see the fox as a four-footed carnivore that is commonly untamable. I don’t know, but seeing people attempting to tame wild foxes is quite scary and, at the same time, very impressive of how brave they are. Well, it is a lot more impressive when you’re trying to tame a two-footed blazing fox. I’m kinda referring to Fennekin’s evolution, Braixen.
Other than the characteristics he adopts from Fennekin, he also has the ability to cast friction with his tail, with the twig he usually snacks while being a Fennekin. The twig in his tail isn’t actually for aesthetic purposes, it launches fire-stuff that adds to his fighting abilities and skills. In fact, it is more beneficial than just being a snack.
Your expectations could be pretty high now given that Braixen has been recorded to be one of the best Pokemon in terms of range battles. So if you’re fighting against fighters and people that carry weapons with a long range, you’d better use Braixen to clear off your roads for you. What do you think? If you still think that Braixen isn’t enough, well let’s just wait for its more powerful version, the cool and amazing fighting abilities of Delphox.

Darkness and Fox altogether? What a scary combination to have. Well, Zoroark is something that should not be recommended to be faced off with. I know that we’ve already faced multiple cute dark-type Pokémon, but this fox really is something you should run for your life after encountering one. Yes, Zorua still has that small part of being cute, but Zoroark really is something that would cause your mini heart attack after having to face one.
Although Zoroark may appear too cool and appealing, it is actually causing trouble for the travelers it encounters. Imagine being trapped in a place you’re not even familiar with just because you have faced this fox. Just like Zorua, it can also cast illusions, but in a more advanced way. Just picture yourself not knowing if you’re with a pikachu or a shape-shifted Zoroark. You better save yourself if you encounter a wild Zoroark on the way.

If you find Braixen a little bit small for larger fights, well, lucky for you, we have a stronger and larger version of him. Delphox is actually one of the strongest Pokemon being used in big tournaments, and Serena using Delphox really is a good example of why Delphox should be considered one of the strongest fire type Pokemon.
Just like Braixen, Delphox also holds a twig, but a longer version of it. The twig has this fire burning like a torch. This is actually used in making fiery attacks against its opponents. It could also be a good torch if you find yourself stuck in a cave with no light source. Imagine being one of the final forms of a Pokemon just to be used as a torch. It’s kinda insulting and fun at the same time HAHAHA
Actually, there are special moves that can be performed by Delphox. He can do fire blast, grass knot, and psychic. The moves he has made are actually based on the situation he is in. But, whatever situation he is encountering, the torch stuff is still my favorite.

When we mention the word fox, the first thing that comes to mind is the Ninetails Kyubi of Naruto. But sadly, the spelling is different, and also this is not the Kyubi from Naruto. The Ninetales I’m referring to here are not even as powerful as the Kyubi, but I can still assure you that this Majestic Ninetales is a strong Pokemon you use in battles. Only if you have that stone to make a Vulpix evolve into a Ninetales.
Just like Vulpix, Ninetales also has an Alolan and a Kantonian version. You could either freeze to death or melt down in extreme heat. Regardless of the cause of your defeat, both Ninetales can still end the tournament by winning. It’s just because of how powerful they are.
There is still a list of moves that can be mastered by the Ninetales, ranging from basic moves like iron tail to icy storm and fiery storm. Well, it still matters whether the Ninetales you have is an Alolan or a Kantonian. It’s actually great owning any of them, well it would be a lot better if you both, but do you think you can handle the extreme change in temperature? It’s not your typical cute little fox anymore.
Final Notes
We still have numerous lists of fox pokemon, some of them do not qualify into this list because they are closer to being a dog or cat than a fox. I can give Jolteon as an example, it appears more-likely a dog than a fox although it is still an evolution of Eevee.
What do you think? Do you still have more Pokémon in mind? You can comment with your thoughts below! That’s it guys! Thank you for reading!
