Do you know what else is Bizarre in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure? The POWER RANKINGS! If we are to estimate each JoJo character’s powers, we’d need to choose the certain variables to keep things in check.
That’s why we’ve brought you some power ranking factors that will indicate where each character stays.

Jonathan was able to defeat Dio twice. The first time at the beginning of the part and the second time at the end. Both times Dio survived because of his immortality.
They also fought a third time on a ship where Dio just made it to survive and acquire the body of Jonathan Joestar. So to sum up, Dio never really defeated Jonathan Joestar. Now, if Dio fought against Jonathan with his stand he would most likely win.
But you have to think how the battle would end if Jonathan would also have a stand. Jotaro is the great-grandson of Jonathan. And we saw how incredibly powerful Jotaro’s stand was.
And because of that I think, if Jonathan had a stand, he would be most likely evenly matched with Dio (or even stronger than Dio). But this is more like a hypothetical scenario based on certain conclusions. In my opinion Jonathan (with a stand) would probably be stronger than Dio (with a stand).

We start our list with the beautiful Hato Higashikata, who happens to be the eldest child of Norisuke.
As always, no matter how manly a JoJo character looks, looks can be deceiving as Hato is the sister of Daiya Higashikata, Jobin, Joshu, and a. She takes full advantage of her looks by working as a model and sporting various outfits throughout the series!
Apart from being beautiful, she also is a badass fighter, with her stand making her a deadly killing machine. Her stand ‘Walking Heart’ allows her heels to grow to significant lengths, which she uses to pierce through enemies’ defenses and sometimes even uses them as missiles!
These heels come in penetrating any wall you put in front of them, and the range of these attacks is just phenomenal! The pointy heels also allow her to walk up walls. (Manga: JoJolion Chapter 54)
Hato’s stand allows her to create spikes beneath her feet, and these bad boys can extend up to 4 meters. Can you believe that?
You might think her traumatizing childhood turned her into an ice-cold killer, but she is rather airheaded and doesn’t care that much.

Hot pants might look like a male, but she is very much a woman. She capitalizes on her androgynous looks by posing as a male many times in the series. Couples this with her smartness and crazy strong stand, and she’s a force to be reckoned with!
Her stand, Cream starter, is used to manipulate flesh, yes FLESH! She can spray this flesh on her enemies and run her own so that she could fit through small and tight spaces. The power meat seems grotesque at first, but the stand is mighty. (Manga: Steel Ball Run Chapter 57)
Having a traumatic childhood, Hot Pants transitioned towards becoming a nun to ask for forgiveness from God.
Dawning a male avatar, Hot Pants participated in the Steel Ball Run race to spy for Naples and the Vatican. She takes her missions really seriously, and this determination and cunning attitude of hers is what put her on the list!

Blasting his way to the next spot is the only Oyecomova, and the word blasting is literally used here. Oyecomova’s stand allows him to create bombs from almost anything around him; this destructive ability comes in handy many times. He’s a walking ammunition factory!
He’s a Neapolitan terrorist who participated in the Steel Ball Run Race to take revenge on Gyro Zeppeli! Actually, he seeks revenge on many people in the series; it only adds to his hot-minded demeanor and the stand he possesses!
If manifesting bombs in thin air wasn’t enough, he can even use his ability to time these bombs, so he can time a blast beforehand. Making him a vital asset to have in any team. This power of his has earned him a spot on this list! And if this level of creepiness isn’t enough, there’s another one coming.
So the guy has got a veil netting on his face. The veil netting is an insect screen that he can use to freely move without any interference. Talk about creepy! (Book: JOJOVELLER: STANDS)

Mike O has a really distinctive appearance; you can spot this guy from a long distance. The pink colorings on his face, coupled with his hairstyle, surely make him stand out. But though his drip isn’t the most fly out there, he sure packs a punch and hence enjoys the duty of being a bodyguard of the Funny mighty valentine!
His stand is called Tubular Bells; this stand allows him to manifest balloon animals made of metal! These metal balloons are deadly and can kill any average individual in minutes if they’re not prepared. Heck, even if you’re prepared, how are you gonna evade a metal balloon from bursting near you!
When Lucy Steel and Hit Pants invade the President’s residence in Chicago, he ends up battling them both alone! The dude may be blowing up metal balls, but he also has some balls of steel!
Mike. O is the assistant of Funny Valentine and his introduction was sort of badass. (Maybe?) (Manga: Steel Ball Run Chapter 48)

Mitsuba is the wife of Jobin Higashikata and also the mother of Tsurugi Higashikata. Her beautiful and delicate appearance has earned many awards. She was even a model for the ads that ran for the Higashikata Fruit Company!
But don’t let her modeling career and slim build fool you; she is as deadly as she is charming.
Her stand Awaking III Leaves takes on the appearance of a humanoid with a ton of arrow shape pointy things directing out of her. Using her air, she can manifest hand-sized arrows that redirect energy and objects outwards towards her enemies! (Manga: JoJolion Chapter 80)
In her school days, she was famously known as Miss Cherry because of her appearance. She won a contest that allowed her to travel through Europe and China for the fruit of Japan; she then met Jobin and got married into the Higashikjata family, which you’ll be seeing a lot of times on the list!
25. Ringo Roadagain (Mandom)

Ringo is a gunslinger, which already makes him pretty badass, but combine this with his demeanor and stand, and this guy can lead his own show! (Manga: Steel Ball Run: Chapter 33) The appearance is a bit odd ( almost every Jojo character has a weird design). He has a skull in place of his goatee!
His stand is called Mandom, which literally allows him to go back in time, only for 6 seconds. But even 6 seconds are a lot when you’re a gunslinger and on the verge of losing in a duel (Manga: Steel Ball Run: Chapter 34). Those 6 seconds can be the time between your life and death!
His power has earned him the respect of President Funny Valentine, who has kept him at his service. He was sent to retrieve the Saint Corpse’s parts at the steel ball run race. His uncompromising attitude and powerful moves leave a lot of impact on Gyro!
23. Wekapipo (Wrecking Balls)

Wekapipo may not be the one to have long, funny conversations with, but he indeed isn’t the one who’d mess up the work given to him by his higher-ups! Don’t let the honeycomb-like hair fool you; when it comes to fighting, this guy can smash through his enemies like a Wrecking Ball!
Wekapipo’s powers are interesting, to say the least; his wrecking ball is enough to smash anyone’s head to the pulp. Even if you somehow manage to dodge the furious ball attacks, more petite satellite balls separate from the bigger ones to hit multiple targets. So basically, if you’re in his range, get ready to be hit with a barrage of small and big balls! (Manga: Steel Ball Run Chapter 53)
On the other hand, Wekapipo is no slouch. He always gets focused on the mission and allows no one to interfere in it. Not even his friends!
And if all the ball attacks weren’t enough, the shockwaves sent during the attacks will make you dizzy and lose control. You’ll have to have a lot of balls to take on Wekapipo!
22. Caesar Zeppeli

A highly skilled and talented fighter. He is able to create certain bubble filled with hamon. He can manipulate those bubbles so that they attack and injure his enemies.
His abilities are most effective and dangerous against vampires or creatures like the pillar men. He was able to injure Wamuu badly. In addition to his skill and talent he has a lot of courage because he was ready to take on Wamuu all by his own.
Caesar is also sort of a badass. He takes HUGE pride in being a part of the Zeppeli family. And after getting disrespected by Joseph when Joseph said that simply does not care about the Zeppeli family, Caesar punched him like HELL. (Manga: Battle Tendency Arc Chapter 88)
21. Wammu

A proud and especially a very strong fighter. He was one of the main antagonists in “Battle tendency” and was defeated in an exciting battle by Joseph. Wammu is capable of using certain wind techniques. For example the wind technique “Divine Sandstorm” is able to shred an opponent’s body into pieces.
His strongest technique is “Final Mode: Atmospheric Rift”. Although he doesn’t have a stand I think that he would be able to defeat most normal stand users.
Wammu is a total creep. And yes, I mean it in the JoJo creep way. He can easily tell if someone has stepped on his shadow without even looking at them. That will come in handy. (Manga: Chapter 66)
20. Noriaki Kakyoin

His stand “Hirophant Green” allows him to control different abilities. For example, he is able to extend tentacle-like limbs which can be useful in a lot of dangerous situations. Furthermore he is capable of firing a lot of hard projectiles at once called “Emerald Splash”. He also played a key-role in defeating Dio.
He was the one who discovered what the special ability of Dios stand “The World” was. He managed to give Joseph Joestar a hint what the special ability of Dios stand was, because he was so badly injured that he couldn’t speak. Joseph comprehended the message and told it to Jotaro which ultimately defeated Dio.
The only thing that kept Kakyoin with Jotaro was his stand. Even Araki himself said that without their stands, Kakyoin and Jotaro wouldn’t be friends. (Manga: JoJonium Vol. 11 – Special Interview)
19. Vanilla Ice

He was turned into a vampire by Dio before his fight against Polnareff, Avdol, and Iggy. His stand “Cream” has the ability to obliterate everything into nothingness in his path.
The weakness of his stand is that he can’t see which path he is going in his void form. That means that Vanilla Ice has to expose himself for a short time in order to see where he is heading. His stand-alone is probably one of the most dangerous ones in the part “battle in Egypt”.
Even though his stand-alone is very dangerous, he also gained immortality by Dio turning Vanilla Ice into a vampire. But that ability was ultimately his demise since Polnareff only had to give him a little shove and expose him to sunlight.

18. Jean Pierre Polnareff

Although he isn’t the most intelligent person he is still a talented fighter. His stand “Silver Chariot” grants him amazing sword fighting skills.
He was also capable of defeating Vanilla Ice with the help of Avdol and Iggy. I wasn’t sure whether to put Avdol or Polnareff on this place because Polnareff was defeated by Avdol once.
But you have to consider that Polnareff was controlled by Dio at that time, so he wasn’t the master of his mind. Thus we can’t say for sure whether Polnareff or Avdol is stronger.
Imagine being so sophisticated that you can’t even use the regular toilets. (Totally Understandable) (Manga: Chapter 140)
17. Pocoloco (Hey ya!)

Pocoloco is one of those characters which would have topped the list and one which shouldn’t even be on the list. But we took the safer route and put him in a proper position. Why you may ask?
Well, Pocoloco isn’t the strongest in the series, nor is his stand the strongest. In fact, his stand is pretty useless; it doesn’t fight but only gives him moral support.
The reason why he manages to be on the list is sheer luck! In the steel ball run, Pocoloco was the fiercest competitor due to his fate. Because he is ranked so much higher, maybe his stand is lucky, and that’s its power!
Pocoloco is a neutral character that was just focused on winning the race itself. (Manga: Steel Ball Run: Chapter 2)

The Jojo universe has some word names! Mannish Boy is the name of the next character on the list. As the name suggests pretty precisely, he is a baby but can think like a man, hence Mannish Boy!
Though he’s a baby, his stand is not at all something a baby would desire. Simply put, it is a killer clown who steals the consciousness of his sleeping enemies and transports them into his dream world, where he can basically manifest anything and murder them without any hesitation!
Mannish Boy tried to murder the whole Joestar group using his nightmare world stand. (Anime: Stardust Crusaders Episode 20)
And the worst part (for the enemy, not Mannish Boy) is that the opponent can’t even summon their stands in this world, so they’re at the mercy of a baby!
15. The Green Baby (Green, Green Grass of home)

The green baby has been mistaken for baby piccolo many times. But he’s more innocent and powerful than piccolo (from Dragon Ball) ever was! The green baby was created from one of DIO’s bones and also possesses a rather strange stand!
The stand he has is known as Green, Green Grass Of Home. The stand is scary, to say the least, the nearer you get to the baby, the smaller you get, and you keep getting smaller till you vanish out of existence! The shrinking depends upon the distance between the baby and his enemy, so fighting him head-on is just impossible.
And it seems like Green Baby’s favorite food is Human Hair and Dirt. Talk about being creepy. (Stone Ocean: Chapter 95)
So stands like star platinum which is regarded as the strongest in the series by many, totally fails in front of a green baby because it is a close-ranged stand!
Though the power is scary, he is mostly pretty innocent because he’s a baby. He loves the birthmark Jolyne has on her back and doesn’t cause harm to her.
14. Carne (Notorious BIG)

Carne is an overweight guard of Diavolo; he shows extreme loyalty to him to the point that he even didn’t hesitate to give up his life when he was commanded to do so. His task was to act as a suicide bomber, but why is he on the list if he was quickly killed?
His stand, Notorious B.I.G(not to be confused with the rapper), is a blob known to survive even after the user’s death. This ability of Carne made him the ideal suicide attacker.
His stand can devour anything that moves fast and grows more robust; this way, it can keep getting stronger and stronger. (Manga: Chapter 532)
The only downside to this incredible stand is the automated nature, so it can be bypassed.
This doesn’t take away from how deadly the stand was after his death; the stand forced Giorno to literally chop off his hand!
13. Kars

Kars was the main antagonist of the part “Battle tendency”. After he gained his form of the “ultimate being” he was nearly indestructible. He overcame the weaknesses of Dio: the sun and hamon.
Now the sun couldn’t kill him anymore and he was also immune to Hamon. Even after he was thrown into a volcano, he could survive win ease.
Ultimately Joseph Joestar was able to defeat him by sending him into space. It has to be mentioned that Joseph had a lot of luck and thus he was able to accomplish sending Kars into space where he was frozen and defeated.
Ultimate Kars can use Ripple but it’s stronger than anything we’ve seen so far. His ripple rivals the sun itself, and it can destroy anything very easily. (Manga: Battle Tendency Arc Chapter 112)
12. Diego Brando from Another World (The World)

Not to be confused with the original one, Diego Brando (from the parallel world) is brought into this world by President Funny Valentine as a final precaution should he be defeated by Johnny Joestar. He looks different from the original one and also is crueler. (Manga: Steel Ball Run Chapter 90)
Diego is a power-thirsty individual who would go to any lengths measurable to reach his goals. His stand is known as The World; it is almost identical to Dio’s the world stand but is much sleeker in appearance and possesses the ability to manipulate time quickly.
11. Jonathan “Johnny” Joestar (Tusk Act 4)

Jonathan is the 7th Jojo in the series, so you know he’s got to be powerful. He was once considered a horse racing prodigy, but later on, he became a paraplegic. He joins the Steel ball run when he realizes Gyro Zepelli’s steel balls can heal his legs. He wears a horseshoe on top of his cap to show his love for racing!
His stand can take on any enemy if he wishes to go all out on the offensive. The stand is known as Tusk, and depending upon the style, Johnny decides to employ it when fighting.
He can shoot spinning nails like bullets and hit shots with an infinite rotation that possesses the power to force open the D4C love train’s dimensional wall. At times the energy gets so immense that dimensional barriers get broken, and time stops!
Though the power is really great, using the Tusk act 4 isn’t an easy feat. Maintaining the rotation is extremely hard, and that’s the only reason why Johnny isn’t higher on the list!
Even though he has a killer stand, Johnny has a lack of self-confidence and tends to go into his PANIC ZONE real quick. (Manga: Steel ball Run Chapter 43)
10. Risotto Nero (Metallica)

Risotto Nero is the leader of the assasination suad known as La Squadra Esecuzioni. He is a rather serious individual who’ll go to any lengths to achieve his goal; this can be seen when he takes on any job. His glance is enough to give anyone the creeps.
The supervillain’s looks accompanied by his stand known as Metallica give Risotto a legendary status in the show.
Metallica has the power to manipulate iron through magnetism at a short distance; there is a mass of minuscule being inside his bloodstream, which makes his stand possible. Though his stand isn’t the most powerful on the list, his tactical abilities are one of the best in the series! (Manga: Chapter 544)
9. Ungalo (Bohemian Rhapsody)

Ungalo is an illegitimate child of Dio and is very frail and relatively weak in appearance. He likes to wear a beanie and also has the letter U engraved under his eye! (Stone Ocean: Chapter 103)
His stand is pretty impressive, with the ability to summon any fictional creature to life and make his enemy live the character’s life they most relate to.
His stand is called bohemian rhapsody and can take on almost any air in the Jojo universe if he summons a strong fictional monster or beast; the stand has an easy bypass, but if he manages to summon a character, who suffers from a miserable fate, then the enemy is doomed!
8. Yoshikage Kira (Killer Queen)

Yoshikage Kira is an abnormal and psychopathic serial killer who loves nothing more than murder. He has a formal outfit on at all times, a coat, and a nicely ironed-out tie! But this nice guy look doesn’t stop him from doing manslaughter on a whim!
His stand, Killer Queen, is a humanoid that can wipe anything out of existence with targeted explosions! And if that wasn’t scary enough, he has three different names for his three other skills, which are even more frightening.
One of his bombs lets him loop time, due to which he escapes from almost every investigation!
After Kira’s death, his killer persona was gone. However, he still wanted to live in peace. I guess peace is all Kira wanted? (Short Story: Dead Man’s Questions)
7. “Funny Valentine” (D4C - Love train)

The 23rd President of the United States of America isn’t a person you would want to mess with. President Funny Valentine is an immoral patriot for his country; when it comes to the interests of the USA, he won’t hesitate in doing anything.
His stand is considered one of the most robust stands in the entire Jojoverse, known as Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap or D4C for short. This stand of his makes him a multidimensional God.
He can easily navigate through any dimension and even change his body with other counterparts in these parallel dimensions, granting him pseudo-immortality! And suppose that wasn’t enough when Lucy develops a ticket to ride. In that case, Valentine uses her light to deflect any misfortune directed towards him, making him an almost invincible fighter.
His cunning nature combined with his powers makes him one of the strongest in the Jojo universe. According to some fans, he is the strongest. However, we still have another mighty fighter who probably would even beat Funny Valentine
Funny Valentine has a STRONG mind. His wife literally did, however, he showed little to no emotions even after Scarlet’s death. (Manga: Steel Ball Run: Chapter 61)
6. Dio Brando

Dio Brando. A character who is liked and hated by a lot of fans. But without losing time on talking about his character let’s get straight to his abilities. His abilities were incredibly strong even in the part “Phantom Blood”. He was a vampire and was basically nearly immortal. His only weaknesses were the sun and energy called “hamon” or ripple.
In addition to those abilities, he gained his stand “the world” in the part “Stardust Crusaders”. His stand was a slightly weaker version of JoJo’s stand “star platinum”. Dio was also able to stop time and his stand was also very strong and fast. (Anime: Stone Ocean Episode 46)
5. Jotaro Kujo (Star Platinum Over Heaven)

In my opinion Jotaro Kujo is the strongest character. His stand “Star Platinum” grants him enormous power and speed. In addition to that Jotaro himself is a very intelligent person and he is able of always coming up with a good plan. When fighting against Dio both were evenly matched up.
But after Star Platinum gained the ability to stop time, Dio had no chance anymore against Jotaro. So to sum up his powers once again: Jotaro is very intelligent person who nearly never loses his temper. His stand Star Platinum doesn’t grant him only outstanding power, accuracy and speed but also the ability to stop time.
If it weren’t for his ability to stop time, there would be plenty more arguments against Jotaro being the strongest character of season one and two. But this ability is just so strong and overpowered that there isn’t much room left for arguments against Jotaro being the strongest.

Diavolo takes the phrase “have no regrets” literally to heart. He is obsessed with erasing the traces of his past and likes to keep his presence a secret from the world as well! He is a lean man with long hair and sports a pink outfit!
Though he may seem anxious about his past, his standing in King Crimson is on a whole new level when it comes to fighting. His stand lets him erase time up to a 10-second time frame and predict what will happen in the next 10 seconds. (Anime: Golden Wind Episode 20)
This time manipulation combined with the exceptional strength and fighting prowess of King Crimson, Diavolo becomes almost invincible.

Giorno Giovanna is the illegitimate son of Dio, who was conceived with Jonathan Joestar’s body. He had a stand from birth and hence has become really mastered his powers.
Girona’s stand Gold Experience is probably the best in the franchise as it is the most versatile; it can create and manipulate life itself, creating plants and animals to use for his own gains. So he is basically a god giving birth to live out of thin air. These creatures that he summons are capable of doing a lot of things Giorno orders them to.

Enrico Pucci or Father Pucci is an extremely powerful fanatic who wants to play God and fulfill Dio’s plan. This relatively slim individual might look weak at first. Still, he is the main antagonist of the 6th part of the Jojo series. He is over the top romantic and doesn’t like anyone coming in his way!
His original stand was Whitesnake, which harbored the ability to steal two discs from his enemy, one which contains their stand and one which has. One of their memories. But the stand which he develops, later on, is crazy, to say the least.
After seeing Dio, Pucci turned into DESPAIR more instantly. (Manga: Stone Ocean Chapter 127)
The stand known as Made in heaven is a God-tier stand and probably the strongest in the Jojo franchise making Enrico Pucci the most robust character in the franchise!.
The stand possesses the ability to manipulate the flow of time and speed up the natural processes of the entire universe! Enrico’s plan is to speed up the universe to the point that it vanishes and resets!
The scale at which the stand operates is unfathomable to many fans. The guy can literally change the universe when he feels like it; the stand is in a league of its own.

Jonathan does have a stand, and its not very powerful. In star dust crusaders, dio uses johnathans body to access his hermit purple stand, which is what dio uses to track the joestars on their way to egypt
