Complete Fate Series Filler List

COMPLETE Fate Series Filler List (OFFICIAL)

Updated May 4, 2022 by

If you, a teenager, managed to make your way into participating in a war of divine servants, how do you think things would go from there? Fate/Stay night might just give us the concrete idea of what life would be in that situation.

Table of Contents

It may suggest a dreamy and exciting adventure far different from your dragging tasks that school has to offer, but the story of a certain lad named Shirou Emiya will show you what it takes to be a warrior of the so-called “Holy Grail War”.

This story will follow a two-week period of Shirou Emiya’s life, an amateur mechanic student who goes to school. He had quite a sad backstory— he lost people he loved. How will this journey fare for this poor soul?

To make your viewing journey as thrilling and exciting as our lead hero, heroine, perhaps the plural variation of both. Might be best to have a run through the episodes and see which of them are fillers. Fear not, there ain’t that much.

Told ya, there aren’t many filler episodes in the list. They’re just like air holes in this rich canon-content-filled bread. Now, without further ado, let’s have a run down on the episodes!

Ah, for the final ado, we’ll work up our imagination with this one. We won’t extract the episodes, but we’ll have a feel into the stuff they might contain and put things together. Now let’s set off for a little bit of adventure!

EPISODES

Episode 1fate stay night ep 1

As you see the first episode literally speaks for itself, being “First day” for both you and our mighty warriors! This kind of title may sound cliché but it’s not, first episodes tend to get poetic at times, and this feels more immersive in my opinion.

Episode 2fate stay night ep 2

“Fateful night” hmm, now the episodes speak for the title of the series itself. Interestingly, this type of episode title usually takes the first spot. Guess the story began before fate came into action? Or is it because day comes before night?

Episode 3fate stay night ep 3

The third episode is… the opening, isn’t it supposed to be the first episode? Or is this series just built so different? Remember that we follow the story of a teenager getting himself into a war, so this is where the real deal begins.

Episode 4fate stay night ep4

Oh well, “The strongest enemy” when I said something about a real deal, I didn’t expect it to be such a real deal. Like c’mon, the opening just happened and someone’s likely to close things down too early!

Episode 5-8fate stay night ep5 8

“Two Magi (part 1)”, interesting. Perhaps some sort of intervention? We see that there seems to be a second part to it which appears to be a filler episode, perhaps one of the Magi didn’t get enough attention.

The episodes that follow sound kinda interesting, who could’ve done such despicable acts? And discordant melody undoubtedly sounds mysterious and intriguing, would it be a certain harm brought about by a certain music?

Episode 9-10fate stay night ep 10

Episodes 9 and 10. Well, sounds like a refreshing change of pace. Moonlit elegance and peaceful interlude, I do wish the titles live up to their names because the previous episodes had quite the heat in them!

Episode 11fate stay night ep11

“Fresh Blood Temple (Blood Fort Andromeda)” Quite a cinematic title out here, this suggests we’ll be seeing something red, something straight out of the fantasy books if you know what I mean!

Episode 12fate stay night ep12

I wonder how “Tearing up the sky” would relate to the previous episode. Is it something about the sky being torn that led us from the bloody temple to the “Winter castle”?

Episode 13-15fate stay night ep15

The following two episodes seem kind of mysterious, would the end of such an ideal lead to the beginning of the twelve trials? Seems kind of connected are they not? But what if they aren’t? This is driving me insane!

Episode 16fate stay night ep16

Oh wow! The sword of promised victory! Certainly, a good follow up to the previous episodes is it not? Ends and trials don’t go well together but at least we get a little shed of hope for our hero in this one! If it’s really for him, that is.

Episode 17-18fate stay night ep18

And here we go, two straight filler episodes. But that doesn’t seem like much, with how the story is going in our head for sure they might have something in store! What bothers me is the “Decisive Battle” odd title for a filler episode.

It appears that the two filler episodes are rather close to the end of the series, but let’s keep on track the canon material. I feel like the filler does not have the distracting value into it, at least it’s not a beach episode.

Episode 19-21fate stay night ep21

Episodes 19 and so on somehow have the endgame feel to it, we’re finally having a distant trace of dreams! Oh, and I wonder what would this golden king be? Some kind of adversary, or something useful for our hero?

I was right about things not ending well at 21 because I don’t want to finish the series yet! “The star of creation that divided heaven and earth”, now that sounds fantastic! I really hope you’re getting the picture!!

Episode 22-24fate stay night ep24

Looking at the last three episodes it seems like we’ve reached the endgame, the Holy Grail is there, and it somehow appears to be related to wishes, but something does not sit right with the “All to distant utopia”.

Since the whole school is busy preparing for the Holy Grail War, Rin tries to perform a summoning ritual at home. She summons the Servant Archer who isn’t really happy with Rin. She often gets annoyed by this all and then she wasted one of her commands to make Archer obedient to her.

After summoning Archer, she realizes that his memories have vanished and the very next day, she skips her school to show Archer the whole city. Rin, with her great intellect, notices something’s off at her school. She sees the barrier and then encounters another servant called Lancer.

Now, we’re going to talk about characters in this anime so that you get even more motivated to watch the anime. Let’s get started!

Main Characters

 Rin Tohsaka

Rin Tohsaka Rin Tohsaka is one of the main characters in Fate/Stay Night. She’s known as a hard-worker, generous, and a reliable friend. As I previously stated, Rin found it difficult to adjust to her servant. She’s also the younger sister of Sakura Matou. Yes, Sakura Matou is adopted, that’s why both of them don’t look alike.

Anyways, Rin Tohsaka is one of the most popular characters in this series. She’s a serious, intuitive, and a competitive person. When it comes to challenges, she doesn’t back down and gives it her all! She puts other people before her and that’s one hell of a charming trait. Rin is a reliable older sister for Matou, she always helps her despite knowing that Sakura Matou is adopted.

During her childhood, she learnt about the Holy Grail as much as she could from her father. Her father was a mage who couldn’t really understand the bad parts of his personality. Therefore, we know something sad happened to him. Anyways, that’s it for Rin Tohsaka. If you’re curious about her, watch Fate/Stay Night [Unlimited Blade Works], I’m sure you’re going to love her.

Artoria Pendragon (Saber)

saber Artoria Pendragon is also known as “Saber.” She’s also one of the main characters and is quite powerful. Saber is the servant of Kiritsugu Emiya. Artoria Pendragon is known for her strong determination when in difficult situations.

She’s brave and is surely not the type of person to back down easily. She believes that morals are more important than anything else. No matter how badly she wants the Holy Grail’s award, she cannot simply abandon her honor in the process. Artoria Pendragon is very loyal to her master and is always there for him.

Kiritsugu Emiya

Kiritsugu Emiya  Kiritsugu Emiya is also one of the masters in this anime, and Saber is his servant. He might be the main protagonist in the series, but his role is minor. He was a freelancer and is also known as the Magus Killer.

He’s a very confused person, even though he may not look like it, He has a goal. To achieve that certain goal, he has to abandon his emotions at times and become an empty person without a heart. So, that side of him might scare you at times, but it’s alright. To solve the mysteries about this guy, you better watch the anime!

Shirou Emiya

Shirou Emiya

Shirou Emiya is one of the adopted sons of Kiritsugu Emiya. He faced severe trauma in his childhood, which makes him feel empty every now and then. Overall, he’s a kind guy who doesn’t like to burden others with his problems.

FILLER EPISODES OF FATE ZERO

Don’t tell me that you haven’t heard of Fate Zero before? Whatt?! It literally has one of the BEST ANIMATED fighting scenes! Well, well, well, I’ll explain what Fate Zero is about for those guys living under a rock. I mean, who doesn’t like some really high quality fighting scenes? Just take a look at Demon Slayer! Demon Slayer also got some REALLY good fighting scenes but so does Fate Zero.

Anyways, enough talking about the anime’s graphic and fighting scenes, let’s move on to its main storyline. Fate Zero has a really easy and unique story. Anyone that will watch the anime for the first time will quickly understand the main concept  it’s really based on. BUT!!! For those who don’t even have a single clue about the anime, I’ll explain!

I can't stop talking about “Fate Zero” in this list. It’s a Fantasy plus Action Anime. I tried Fate Stay Night a lot before watching Fate Zero, and I think Fate Zero is reasonably good, but it's not possible because Fate Zero boosted my expectations. I enjoy the narration and many other conversations in Fate Zero.

I will start by explaining the general idea of the anime. So, our MC is Emiya, who lives in a world with beings by the name of Servants. Every few decades, a Holy Grail war occurs. There are 7 people chosen, with each getting their own servants.

In Fate/Stay Night, it showed the Fifth Holy Grail War. But, Fate/Zero goes ALL THE WAY back to the Fourth Holy Grail war. Basically, 10 years in the past and it tells the story of Kiritsugu Emiya. Kiritsugu Emiya later becomes the Adopted Father of Shirou Emiya, after he found him in the middle of a large fire.

Oof! That was a long explanation so I think we should definitely start with our topic.

History Of The Servants

Fate Zero

I have already mentioned these beings by the name of Servants already, right? Well! Most of you probably have some questions like how are people made servants? And stuff like that.

Well! I will explain a little bit about these beings. Servants were normal human beings like the rest, but they were incredibly powerful. They were known to be the most powerful at the time they were born. But obviously, of course they had to train first.

Many of them simply trained and trained till they became stronger. These Servants have classes too, the Knight Class, which has Saber, Lancer and Archer and the Cavalry class, which has Rider, Berserker, Assassin and Caster.

Wanna know a unique thing about Berserker? Well, you know if someone dies, they will be dead right? After all, everyone has only one life. But, that wasn’t really the case for Berserker. Berserker had…12 LIVES! Yes! I am not kidding, he legit had 12 lives. Fate Zero

The reason Berserker was this powerful was because of the Master. Berserker was able to take the mana that he needed from his master in order to become extremely powerful. At last, Saber and Emiya managed to kill Berserker after Berserker’s master ran out of mana.

Archer, who seemed really weak at the start of the anime, actually killed this giant beast, Berserker 5 times. Anyways, moving on,  we have the Extra Classes, which have Ruler, Avenger, Moon Cancer, Shielder, Alter Ego, Foreigner and Pretender.

All of these Servants have their own dream, after all, they aren’t just fighting for free. They also want their one wish to be heard and that will only be possible with the Holy Grail. That is the only reason these Chosen Servants fight against each other. After all, as I mentioned these Servants were once humans.

Kiritsugu Emiya’s Part

Kiritsugu Emiya e1650882020549

Kiritsugu Emiya, who later became Shirou Emiya’s adoptive father, was a 29 year old man at the time. He was the Fourth Head of the Emiya Family. His mother died when he was just born, and he and his father were hiding from the Mage’s Association.

They later settled on an island for around a year or so. Kiritsugu had a crush on a girl by the name of Shirley, but sadly, Shirley turned into a vampire because of a mysterious potion that she drank. He was unable to kill her, and because of that, everyone in the village died.

fate zero shirley

He, along with his father, fled and hid in the Emiya Residence. He later finds out that his father was the reason that Shirley turned that way. Upon finding out about that, Kiritsugu stabbed his father, soon he found out that he has become something that people call, Magus Killer. Natalia, a freelancer who decided to help Kiritsugu train. Kiritsugu started to assassinate all these Magus like his father to prevent those tragedies from ever happening again.

This all happened before the Fourth Holy Grail War by the way. Soon came the Holy Grail War and Kiritsugu was assigned to be the master of the servant by the name of Saber. Yes! It is the same servant that Shirou Emiya, his adoptive son will have.

Conclusion
