Today’s discussion will be based on one of our favorite anime. It’s the part of the big three most loved shounen anime out there. It’s none other than Naruto. Today, I’ll be giving you a theory about What Exactly Happened To The UZUMAKI CLAN.

The Uzumaki Clan is a clan whose descendants are Naruto, Kushina, Nagato, and Karin. However, the Uzumaki Clan was destroyed, and most of its members were killed. Why did this happen? There are many theories about it, but we’ll be giving you the best and most accurate one.

UZUMAKI CLAN HISTORY
Later, Mito chose Kushina Uzumaki, aka Naruto’s mother, to be the next jinchuriki of the Nine Tails (Naruto Manga: Chapter 500). We can say the Uzumaki Clan was feared for valid reasons. Their sealing jutsu was beyond powerful, and becoming a jinchuriki made them more dangerous.
Not just this, the Uzumaki Clan had a great and powerful relationship with the Senju Clan and Village Hidden in the Leaf. After all, the Senju and Uzumaki were both the direct descendants of Ashura Otsutsuki, and they were distant blood relatives. When Mito was married to Hashirama Senju, this bond became stronger.
Their relationship was so strong that when the Hidden Leaf was formed, the Uzumaki Logo was an emblem on all the flak jackets of the Hidden Leaf Village. Even today, it was not replaced, and the Hidden Leaf also made a temple for the Uzumaki’s (Naruto Manga: Chapter 618).
The Uzumaki Clan was part of Uzushiogakure (Hidden Eddy Village). This village was so powerful that everyone respected it, but at the same time, it was feared by all the nation. This was because of their Fuinjutsu.
If you don’t know, then let me tell you, Fuinjutsu means Sealing Jutsu. Sealing Jutsu is dangerous because it can seal anything like objects, chakra, even a living being. However, sealing Jutsus can not be mastered by everyone.
When the Hidden Leaf Village was found, Ashina Uzumaki was the leader of the Uzumaki Clan. He was also the one who sealed a beast (UNKNOWN) with his Fuinjutsu. At that time, Hashirama was present, and he saw that the Uzumaki’s were just too strong (Naruto Shippuden: Episode 247).
The Uzumaki Clan was also known because they were the jinchuriki of the Kyuubi (Nine-Tailed Beast). The first Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails was Mito Uzumaki, and she was also the wife of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju (Naruto Manga: Chapter 500).
ABILITIES OF UZUMAKI CLAN
When I say the Uzumaki were the best Fuinjutsu clan users, it means something. Besides having just simple Fuinjutsu, which could be used in normal ways, they had some of the most powerful abilities, which made them feared by everyone.
Some of them I’ve mentioned below.
1. CHAKRA RESERVE
First of all, the Uzumaki’s had a vast amount of chakra reserved. Not just this, but they had a long-lasting life span. As we know, Mito was alive till the Third Hokage’s time (Naruto Manga: Chapter 579). They were even able to survive fatal injuries.
If you remember, just after giving birth to Naruto, Kushina was kidnapped by Obito, and the Tailed Beast was extracted from her, but she still survived. Not just this, she also later fought the Nine-Tails while being at Minato’s side (Naruto Shippuden: Episode 249).
2. CHAKRA CHAINS
The Uzumaki’s Fuinjusu was their specialty and one of the reasons why every other nation feared them. They even had Chakra Chains. These chains were made by their chakra, which includes a little bit of their lifespan.
These chains were so strong and durable that they would not let anything escape if caught. These chains are so strong that even the Nine-Tails could not free himself from them when Kushina used them on him (Naruto Shippuden: Episode 249).
3. HEALING
Another specialty of the Uzumaki’s was that they could heal themselves quickly. They were able to help others as well by giving them their Chakra. We’ve seen Karin do this many times (Naruto Shippuden: Episode 143).
Their healing was strong enough to heal any internal or external injury. When Karin fought Obito in the Ninja War, she was deeply wounded, but she quickly healed by biting her hand.
4. DEMON CONSUMING SEAL
The strongest and most dangerous Seal invented by the Uzumaki Clan was the Dead Demon Consuming Seal. This Seal was only passed down to the Uzumaki’s descendants, but Kushina taught Minato and was later learned by the Third Hokage.
Using this Seal, they can summon a Shikigami and seal any object in existence. We’ve seen Minato using this against Kurama (Naruto Shippuden: Episode 249). Kurama was sealed inside Minato and Naruto by using a reaper death seal.
Even Third Hokage used it against Orochimaru (Naruto: Episode 73). But the Dead Demon Consuming Seal will kill the Summoner as well. The shinigami will start consuming the Summoner’s soul until they die.
WHAT HAPPENED TO UZUMAKI CLAN?
The Uzumaki Clan was one of the strongest clans in all the nations—everyone feared it. People respected the clan, but the fact that they also feared them couldn’t be changed. This was why all the Nations came together and wiped out the Uzumaki Clan.
Well, you might wonder this is no theory; this is what Kushina told Naruto when they met (Naruto Manga: Chapter 500). But this makes the most sense because the Sealing Jutsu of the Uzumaki might’ve taken down all the nations.
But then there is one more thing: where were the Senjus when the Uzumakis were being wiped out? The Senju and Uzumaki were blood relatives. Even Mito was married to Hashirama, so where were they during the Uzumaki Massacre?
There is no sign of this, but there’s quite a chance that when Mito died, The Senju joined forces with the other nations and killed the Uzumakis. Because before Mito’s death, the Uzumaki clan was safe and sound but just after her death, the massacre happened.
Even Hashirama died during the First Great Ninja War. If the Uzumaki ever became evil, they would’ve overpowered the Senjus as well, so it makes sense. Look, being the strongest is not easy, you’ll be targeted by everyone.
Is this all? Is this what happened to the Uzumaki Clan? Just because they were feared, they were killed? What if someone else was behind their massacre. Just like with the case of the Uchiha Massacre, it was Danzo.
What if it was all done by Black Zetsu? I’m not just making it up. If you think about it, it makes sense. Black Zetsu was behind most of the things in the series. He manipulated so many people, including Indra and Madara (Naruto Shippuden: Episode 465).
The Uzumaki could’ve become a threat to his mother, Kaguya. As we know, Black Zetsu just wanted to free his mother. But the Uzumaki were known for their Sealing Jutsu, and they were the direct descendants of Ashura, son of Hogoromo who sealed Kaguya away.
I’m not saying that the Dead Demon Consuming Seal could’ve sealed Kaguya away; it’s not possible. Kaguya is like the owner of all the chakra in existence, and she is a GOD, a shinigami can’t seal her. But the Uzumaki might’ve been hard to deal with for Kaguya.
It’s a theory, but it does make sense. I actually believe it was Black Zetsu who manipulated other nations to participate in the Uzumaki Massacre. But again, at some point, it doesn’t make sense because in the anime or in the manga, there was no sign of Black Zetsu behind everything.
But there was no other evidence besides Kushina telling Naruto what happened to the Uzumaki Clan. All she did tell was they were wiped out by other nations. Look, everyone wants to be the superior one.
The Uzumakis were strongest at that time—feared more even than the Senju’s or Uchiha’s, so being wiped out was an opportunity for others to become the strongest and get rid of the one at the top of the food chain.
