Masks in anime always tend to portray the “mysteriousness” of a character. It always raises curiosity in our brains, right? We think that this character is very “sus” and how everyone should stay the hell away from them. OOF, there are so many anime that have masked characters. These characters are always cool or very dangerous.

First off, we have Reincarnated As A Slime. If you guys don’t remember the masked character from this anime, it’s alright. We’re here for you! Anyways, we have Rimuru’s Anti-Magic Mask that was owned by the Hero, Chronoa. It was first given to Shizue Izawa but after some rough incidents, it was passed down to Rimuru. The mask is basically a magic item with four abilities! It can resist magic, it serves as an antidote, it also gives you breathing support, and can also increase the user’s senses.
So, having a mask like this is quite favorable for the character. The mask is simply a white colored mask with a red dot at its center along with gray lines swirling around it. Fun fact about this mask is that, Rimuru duplicated the mask, it wasn’t the original one. Rimuru simply modified it to strengthen the magic resistance abilities, other abilities were useless to him.

Kirai Momobami from “Kakegurui” wore a mask for half the time in the anime. It increased our curiosity about her. Her white comedy mask provided vocal distortion. She wears it because she has a twin that is identical to her. Both of them have platinum hair with bangs. You might be wondering if she ever takes her mask off? So, yes! She does take her mask off. If you’re curious to see her or have never heard about her, you should definitely watch Kakegurui. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
Let me tell you a bit about her personality, she’s very manipulative. We all know that looks can be deceiving. She also has psychopathic behavior, Kirai tends to look down on everyone except for herself. She’s very prideful and is a complete narcissist. So, if you see her somewhere, it’ll be better for you to avoid her.

There are literally a lot of characters that wear masks in My Hero Academia. I’ll let you guys know about the characters, one by one. So, let’s get started! Firstly, we have Toga Himiko. She belongs to the League of Villains, she’s also one of the main antagonists in the anime. When she’s a villain, she tends to wear a black-piped mask which makes her look badass. Her mask is quite loose and she wears it around her neck most of the time, the mask is decorated with metallic pieces as you guys can see in the image above. There are also needles protruding from the sides of the mask. Man, I want this mask. I want people to stay away from me, isn’t it a perfect mask for us?
We have another character in My Hero Academia who wears a mask. Who could it be? *drum rolls* and it is Kai Chisaki! WOOH! He’s also one of the primary antagonists in the anime.
He’s literally the YAKUZA leader of Shie Hassaikai which is the organization led by Overhaul. His mask is very unique and cool but it is named as a plague doctor mask. He doesn’t keep wearing the mask, he does take it off. So, don’t worry, you will be able to see his face!

Now, we have the most bizarre anime on the list. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is undoubtedly one of the most bizarre anime of all time. The character who wears a mask in this anime is “KONO DIO DA!” HAHA, if you’re a true Jojo fan, you’ll get this reference. Anyways, let’s talk about the mask. Dio wore it and became evil, and let’s talk about how everything went wrong!
So, during Phantom Blood Dio came to stay with the Joestar Family. He was always jealous of Jonathan Joestar. He was curious about this ancient stone mask hanging on one of the walls of Joestar’s house. So, one day, Dio decided to put it on Jonathan Joestar since he hated him and when he does, BOOM!
Everything goes wrong. This mask basically was made for Vampiric cults as sacrificial devices. That’s how our boy became a vampire. He stabbed Jonathan’s father and used his blood to activate the mask. That’s how he decided to torment the Joestar Family. His name is Adam, people also call him Ainosuke Shindou. He’s a very manipulative individual and a sadist. He loves to make other skaters suffer with him. This guy will straight off drag you on a bare road, yes!
Moving on, we have Sk8 The Infinity. In this anime, we get to see our main antagonist wearing a very flashy mask. He loves flashy things and is quite flamboyant. His name is Adam, people also call him Ainosuke Shindou. He’s a very manipulative individual and a sadist. He loves to make other skaters suffer with him. This guy will straight off drag you on a bare road, yes! He’s a sadist after all. If we talk about his mask, it’s very flashy which mainly covers his eyes and has a red and golden pattern on it. He’s also bad news, so stay away from him.
