With its new season ended, Mushoku Tensei decided to come up with a special episode (OVA) whose title is “Eris The Goblin Slayer”. In fact, it’s one of the first OVAs of Mushoku Tensei. However, this is not the end. He gets reincarnated into a fantasy world as a child named Rudeus Greyrat. Fortunately, he’s very lucky to have such skilled parents and he learns some skills from them. Release Date 2022: Mushoku Tensei OVA Special
Release Date - Jobless Reincarnation
Mushoku Tensei with its new special episode (OVA) will come back on 16 March, 2022 while a special screening will go out on 06 March, 2022. It has been confirmed and it will also release its BluRay Version of Volume 4. So, you all better be excited for its comeback or else Eris will slay you too!
Throughout the anime, we got to see the journey of Rudeus but there were some things that we couldn’t get to see. For instance, Eris left without even saying a word. To find that out, we’re going to have to watch this episode. Now, let’s take a look at the predicted plot of this episode.
Predicted Plot
We know how Eris Boreas Greyrat left Rudeus behind by saying that she wants his kittens, meow~ (If you know it, you know it) The next morning, Rudeus wakes up and is a confident man but when he looks for Eris, he finds himself disgusting when she isn’t there with him. On the other hand, Elinalise is on a mission to find Rudeus. Eris cuts her hair and has a short bob cut now. I must say that she looks adorable and I can’t wait to see more of her in this upcoming episode.
While Rudeus met Paul and reunited with him in the last episode of Mushoku Tensei, what could Eris be up to that day? Really though, this thought haunted me almost every night. Not gonna lie, but they left us with a cliffhanger. I hope this incoming OVA solves the mysteries and clears our confusions so we can sleep in peace. Isn’t that right? This episode will come out in the form of “episode 16.5”. So, you all better take your popcorn, sit back and relax and wait for the masterpiece episode.
Eris and Ghislaine part ways with Rudeus and then Eris describes why she and Rudeus can’t be together. She remembers how Rudeus almost died for him in front of the Dragon Lord. She thinks that only Rudeus has been the one to protect her all this time, so now it’s her turn.
And our girl thought that Rudeus was too young for her and how she had been taking advantage of him. These thoughts made her really sad. However, she still loves Rudeus but she says she needs to distance herself from him as she loves him too much. So, you all must be wondering where did Eris and Ghislaine go? They went to the Holy Land of Swords.
On the other hand, our boy Rudeus thought that Eris left him for good. While that’s not the case, Eris still loves him the same. Rudeus kept crying and chugging on drinks. However, when he’s doing that, Elinalise enters through the door and introduces herself as the friend of Roxy. Now, things start getting interesting. She tells him that they have tracked down Zenith’s Family. A lot more is yet to come, so don’t worry. This is not the end, this is just the reasoning of why and where did Eris go! And, Rudeus might be reunited with his family.
Let’s dwell into a new character now. He’s known as Cliff Grimoire, a genius. He’s a born prodigy. He was raised in an orphange on the Mills continent. He was only 12 when he got out of his home to go on an adventure. Therefore, he went to the Millis’ guild to form a party. At the guild, there were many other adventurers that were looking down on him. It infuriated him of course.
During his stay at the guild, he met Eris Boreas Greyrat. She also didn’t consider his abilities any special and talked about how Rudeus could do those things easily. Eris told him all about Rudeus and he became jealous. Basically, he wanted Eris to become his bride but Eris was a one-man woman, she only wanted Rudeus and nobody else would click with her. However, this all happened after Paul met with Rudeus.

While there are only a few known characters in the original Mushoku Tensei anime, there might be the arrival of a few more new characters. Let’s dig into the cast of this special OVA episode.
Eris Boreas Greyrat
Eris Boreas Greyrat belongs to a noble family. She’s the second cousin of our main character. Eris might appear cold, however, she has a big heart and appreciates what everyone does for her. She’s the perfect definition of a tsundere. Eris is very skilled when it comes to swords. She’s very potent in the Sword God Style. After seeing the sacrifices of Rudeus and how he protects her, she fell deeply in love with him.
Before she met Rudeus, she was very different. We all remember her nasty temper and cold eyes. Even when she met Rudeus for the first time, she kicked him and slammed him. HAHA, poor boy. But who knew that’s the kind of thing he liked? Anyways, she might appear violent but after spending some time with Rudeus, she learned to hold herself back and is often seen as shy too.
She and Rudeus, have an inferiority complex. Both of them think that the other person is more wonderful than them which apparently leads to massive misunderstandings and everything. However, she got some real character development when she went to the Land of Swords. We all remember how Orsted defeated Rudeus and how Rudeus nearly died. This was the incident that Eris could never forget and it made her serious. She started training to defeat him and to protect her loved ones. Just like Rudeus protected her, she wanted to protect him too!
Other than that, we all know how easily she gets excited over small things. For instance, when she saw giant turtle shells being used as rooftops. Overall, she’s a very wholesome character and without her, Mushoku Tensei might have been incomplete. Isn’t that right?
Rudeus Greyrat
Rudeus Greyrat is the main protagonist of the anime, Mushoku Tensei. He is the 34-year-old who died while getting hit by a truck trying to save some kids. He realizes that he wasted his previous life, so he decides to live this life to the fullest. And by this life, I mean being reincarnated into another world full of magic and fantasies.
In his new life, he was a baby, a literal baby. However, as time passed, he grew up and realised that his parents are quite skilled in magic and swords. He learns a lot from both of them and then goes on different journeys and also meets a lot of new people too. For instance, he met his tutor, his friends, and a lot more people.
Let’s talk a bit about his personality now. He’s quite kind and warm. He makes sure not to hurt anyone emotionally. He knows how it feels to face the comments of others that might be hurtful. Therefore, he decides to be kind with everyone. With that aside, we have another persona of this boy which is nothing more than his perviness. He has a few screws loose but he’s cute, isn’t that right?
Ruijerd Superdia
Ruijerd Superdia may appear intimidating and all, but he’s a quite nice individual. Throughout the second season of Mushoku Tensei, we get to see this guy helping Eris and Rudeus on their journey. He’s been there for them in their toughest times.
He’s an average superd and when he exposes his gem on his forehead, it literally freezes everyone. By that, I mean everyone gets frozen by fear. Yes, he’s proven quite beneficial. He’s quite fatherly and caring. Ruijerd always helps children and goes berserk when someone tries to harm them. He’s a strict warrior as well.
Ghislaine Dedoldia
Next off, we have Ghislaine. She’s one talented individual. Her swordsmanship skills are no joke. Her race is a beast. Just like Ruijerd, she’s been very motherly, especially to Eris. She’s been there for her no matter how dangerous the circumstances have been. She literally thinks using her muscles and is a warrior too.
Her never-ending determination and strong-will has brought her where she is right now. She’s quite powerful and you wouldn’t want to mess with her. She can rip anyone apart in pieces. Her life hasn’t been easy either. In her childhood, she used to bully her younger brother and also caused some problems in her family which led her to run away from her family. She grew up by herself and became such a strong woman.
cliff grimoire
Cliff Grimoire is the friend of our main character, Rudeus. He’s also related to Elinalise. Cliff Crimoire is basically the spouse of Elinalise and is the grandson of Pope. He’s one gifted individual with certain abilities of summoning, detoxifying, and healing magic. Cliff Grimoire always dreamt of becoming an adventurer therefore, on one of his adventures, he meets Eris.
He’s a person with a high sense of pride, he likes to help people as well. Many people find him arrogant. However, he’s continuously trying to prove himself by working diligently. Cliff Grimoire is also very loyal. He would never betray his friends and family.
