7+ STRONGEST Sk8 The Infinity Characters [HQ IMAGES]

Sk8 Thumbnail

Sk8 The Infinity is a gift from anime gods for sports anime enthusiasts. Studio Bones took the idea of skating to another level and created a fresh new anime that’ll make you consider buying a skateboard and go out in the streets (At least it made ME consider that).

The characters we see in this anime are naturally blessed with the art of skateboarding and of course, just like all other sports anime, they’re given superhuman powers that let them skate smoothly. They get all competitive, make mistakes, get back up, and shine. There are many instances when the characters show a bit of Bromance but… ahem… we’re here to talk about their strengths and rank them according to their skateboarding skills and tactics. Let’s just get right into it!

8. Reki

Reki is our protagonist boy who loves being carefree and staying out all day long. It’s evident from his personality that he’s obsessed with skateboarding and has a knack for creating skateboards from scratch. He’s a selfless guy who cares deeply for his friends and is not afraid to stand up for them no matter what the situation. Our skateboarding nerd doesn’t think highly of himself at all. He believes he does not possess a natural raw talent for skateboarding as others do. He’s not wrong about that as we see him getting brutally defeated repeatedly. He gets physically and mentally sick when he realizes he’s lagging. Reki, even though being a protagonist, is the weakest character of Sk8 The Infinity when it comes to skateboarding and it eats him alive.

7. Shadow

Shadow is completely different from his skateboarding persona and is a florist in his normal life. His real name is Hiromi Higa and is very gentle and kind to everyone. In the middle of the night when he goes to attend “S”, where different skateboarders gather around and compete with each other, we see him in a completely different light. He turns into a complete maniac when he’s transformed into his “Shadow” persona and is quite arrogant. He’s very competitive and a tough opponent to his fellow skateboarders. We see him using little bombs to distract his opponents and he even ends up injuring them. His speed is moderate compared to other characters that we’ll talk about later. Shadow appears to be a creepy guy that everyone’s wary of (We still love him because he’s such a sweet florist in his normal life!).

6. Miya

Our elite middle school brat, Miya Chinen is a cocky little boy who isn’t afraid to call out anybody and diss them if they’re not good at skateboarding. He’s carefree just like Reki but is also very arrogant and self-centred (Considering how he completely destroyed Reki because of his poor skateboarding skills by calling him a “Slime”!). He appears to be a prodigy and started showing interest in skateboarding at a very young age. Miya shows immense speed while skateboarding and his balance on it are amazing. He didn’t lose his balance at such a high-speed and was unbeatable until he met Langa. We see him physically getting upset when he loses to Langa (He’s just a little boy at heart!)

5. Joe

Chef in the morning, a beast at night, Kojiro Nanjo also known as Joe is a playboy and a big flirt that every girl loves. He appears to be a fun-loving guy who likes to live in the moment. He’s the most laid-back character in his circle and doesn’t let anything ruin his mood. Being a “Dad-Friend”, he loves to advise his friends and is the first one to notice if something’s off about them. He’s a big tease (AND A FLIRT) but is very loyal and caring towards his friends. Joe relies solely on his raw manpower when it comes to skateboarding. His speed is on another level and often uses his muscular body to push him forward. We see him using the strength of his leg to give him a push forward using a cliff when it could easily break a normal person’s leg. His muscular and ripped body is not only for the show, IT WORKS!

4. Langa

Langa is the second protagonist of the show following Reki and is half-Canadian half-Japanese. As soon as he moved to Reki’s school, he was manipulated into giving skateboarding a try by Reki and they both bonded over that. Reki saw the potential in him and trained him hard to become one of the strongest skateboarders in the underground world of “S”. Langa has been snowboarding since he was three so it was natural for him to be good at skateboarding as well. We see him flawlessly defeating Shadow and Miya with just a little bit of training. The skateboard that Reki made for him played a great role in Langa’s improvement. It was styled to suit Langa and was created like a snowboard for Langa’s ease (How sweet of Reki!). Langa has shown to be naturally good at skateboarding that many skateboarders often underestimate. He adapts to his opponent’s strategies and even copies them sometimes to throw them off-guard. Being a rookie, his skills are exceptionally good!

3. Cherry

Kaora Sakurayashiki, also known as Cherry in his skateboarding persona, is a beautiful man who’s very close to Joe. Yes, we used the word “Beautiful for Cherry because he literally radiates beauty and often confuses people about his gender. His appearance is very feminine and he’s not ashamed of it (That’s my boy!). Cherry’s a very calm and composed intellectual who, outside his skateboarding persona, is a successful AI Calligrapher. He’s the true definition of a tsundere as we always see him picking a fight with the ones that are closest to him for example, Joe. Despite his cold demeanor, he’s very sweet to his friends and deeply cares about them (They’re not so sure about that Cherry!) His skateboarding style is very different from others as he depends on an AI skateboard that he named Carla. Carla’s able to tell him his opponent’s tactics, his speed, and the speed needed to cover a certain distance. Unlike Joe, Cherry relies on his intelligence to get him on the road to victory, Cherry definitely is one of the most formidable opponents in the Underground World of “S”.

2. Snake

Snake’s real name is Tadashi Kikuchi who lives as the bodyguard of the strongest skateboarder, Adam, and appears to be very formal and professional. Adam treats him like shit but we have to salute his patience because he doesn’t say a word and bows down to him no matter what. Despite being treated like trash, Tadashi wants the best for Adam and wants him to renounce skateboarding for good. That’s why he decided to leave his job as Adam’s secretary and took part in the tournament. We haven’t seen much of him in the anime yet but with what we’ve seen, it’s safe to say that Tadashi’s skateboarding skills are on another level. We see him going neck to neck with Adam in the tournament. It’s evident that his speed, stamina, agility, and balance all are top-tier!

1. Adam

With an Overdramatized persona of Adam in the underground World of “S”. Ainosuke Shindo has it easy when it comes to money or power. He used to be very close to Cherry, Joe, and Snake but things happened and they fell apart. Everybody was pretty much the same as they used to be in the past but we see a drastic change in Adam’s personality. In his normal life, he’s a very polite politician who’s extremely likable amongst the masses. But when it comes to skateboarding, he’s a beast. His style of skateboarding is pretty aggressive and he doesn’t care if he heavily injures the other person while trapping them. He’s already made a lot of skateboarders end up in hospitals because of his harsh skateboarding (Ouch!). Everyone is wary of competing

But our boys have no fear and they go all out against him!
