With the age of great ninja’s from Naruto’s era coming to an end, the new generation packs quite a punch. From technology to some of the strongest ninjas, we have already seen a lot in the series up until this point.
Unique characters, powerful Jutsu, and strong build, we are going to talk about some of the strongest Boruto characters of all time. Hence, without further ado, let’s dive straight into the list of awesome ninjas that are only there to fight for their rights.
However, NOTE!!! This list is focused on the Anime version, and the characters are still finding their true selves.

22. Iwabe
The oldest Konoha’s genin in Boruto’s batch, Iwabe is a pretty strong guy. So far, everyone is just forgetting this guy’s potential, however, Iwabe is something else when he’s serious. His bad academic results were constantly keeping him away to become a Chunin or a Jonin. And that’s the main reason why Iwabe is still a genin. However, aside from the academic side, we’ve already seen Iwabe’s potential in the series.
I can’t say that Iwabe is stronger than most of the characters. However, he’s surely going to improve as the series progresses, Iwabe’s potential is only increasing. JUST NOT AT THE RATE OF THE OTHER GUYS.
Being an aggressive one, Iwabe has some serious skills when it comes to Taijutsu. He excels in Taijutsu, and his Ninjutsu is no exception either. The main pro of Iwabe is that he is a stealthy one. Coupled with raw strength, this guy is here to stay as one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
21. Inojin
Inojin, the son of Sai and Ino was as strong as everyone expected him to be. Hence, having the best qualities of his parents, Inojin has continuously been surprising us with his abilities that we are going to talk about in a bit.
Being the son of Ino Yamanaka and Sai, he joins the Ino-Shika-Cho formation just like his mother. Hence, by teaming up with Shikidai and Chocho, Inojin gets crazy strong at a relatively young age. With such proficiency, Inojin slays what we call inheritance. He took Sai’s powers along with Ino, and this bad boy became the love of a lot of girls in the series.
Having both abilities from his parents, Inojin has unlimited room for growth. I remember when Sai was first introduced in the series. Well, Inojin gave similar vibes when it comes to his dense personality. However, that still doesn’t change the fact of how strong he can become once this guy is serious.
One of Inojin’s main powers that makes him one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time is his Shuriken Jutsu. Being proficient in Shuriken Jutsu at such a young age is an exception. Moreover, with Kenjutsu, Inojin can sword fight in a closed space too.
And who can forget Yamanaka Clan’s Mind Transfer Jutsu? It was the best of the best at its time. Therefore, considering all these cool aspects and the big brain of Inojin, it’s natural that he can be ranked amongst all the other characters in the series.
20. Chocho
A colleague of Inojin and Shikadai, Chocho is easily one of the strongest ones. Well, the main reason is due to the abilities that she has to offer us. When it comes to eating fries, you can’t beat this young lady. Just kidding, but you surely can’t. In her team, Chocho is the primary attacker, and when it comes to her job, she does it in the most unique way possible.
Being the daughter of Choji, she has acquired the will of fire. Well, it should be called the WILL OF CALORIES!!! Chocho is always focusing on stuffing her face with calorie-heavy foods. Moreover, what it does to her body is something unique. The size manipulation technique along with the butterfly mode, Chocho has already surprised us to the point where we can’t even argue anymore.
While Inojin is pure brains, Chocho wins when it comes to actual combat powers. Chocho uses lightning release as her primary Jujitsu. Moreover, along with the traditional Akimichi clan techniques, she can easily increase her size, and also use the butterfly mode that enhances every bit of Chocho’s powers.
Hence, considering all these abilities and calorie-taking endurance Chocho has made her one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
19. Metal Lee
What do you mean? The son of Rock Lee wouldn’t make it to the strongest list? NO CHANCE! Metal Lee is another instance where hard work is everything. The name says everything! METAL is as hard as metal, and he’s as fast as water flowing with full speed. Just like Rock Lee, Metal Lee is an expert in Taijutsu too. An expert in hand-to-hand techniques, Metal Lee has something different to offer than most of the ninjas out there.
However, Metal Lee suffers from stage freight. Unlike his dad, Metal is a pretty socially awkward guy. However, that doesn’t make him stop. He’s constantly pushing himself with the full force as the series is progressing, and that’s what makes him one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
With those serious kicks and badass fighting styles, I’m sure everyone should understand how strong Metal can become with time. Being such a young kid, he can only use up to three gates, however, I can easily see that Metal will eventually surpass his dad, ROCK LEE!!!
18. Shinki
When it comes to Gaara, we know it’s something special. Shinki is the adoptive son of Gaara. As Gaara found his younger self in Shinki, he decided to take care of the lad or he would flip out on the world as Gaara did in the past. With the right guidance and proper training, Shinkin will become the best version that Gaara should’ve been.
Just like Gaara, Shinki’s past is dark. Shinki was unable to control his intimidating powers, and when it came to him being fearful, he was just a kid from the inside. Hence, that’s where our trustee Gaara came in. In the Anime series, Shinkin was shown to be a pretty nervous guy. However, ever since he went to Gaara, his personality is constantly changing.
Also, he’s one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time. Being known as the ace of his village, Shinki is the only character who might have as much room for growth as some of the protagonists of the Boruto series.
Having excellent attacking and defensive abilities, Shinki is a puppeteer. Hence by using sand to make puppets, this guy is just super badass right off the bat.
17. Sarada Uchiha
What do you even expect from a daughter of Sasuke and Sakura? While Sakura is known to be the most useless character of all time, it’s just a meme Like, c’mon. Let a girl live her life, you know. Initially, Sarada and Boruto had daddy issues. Not the usual ones, but Sarada grew without her father. SAY WHAT? Sasuke was always out there repenting for his past sins, and Sarada didn’t know his original motive.
She has always loved her dad and wanted to become an amazing shinobi like Naruto, Sarada is working hard to become the next Hokage. Seems ironic, right? While Sarada wants to become like Naruto, Boruto wants to become like Sasuke. That’s why the whole series is there for. Moreover, Sarada is one of the strongest female ninjas or Kunoichis in the Boruto series too.
So, just for a second, imagine! Sharingan mixed with raw strength. Sarada Uchiha has some of the most brutal attacks and coupled up with the Sharingan, she can easily slay the opposing force. Sarada has everything needed to become one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
With a mix of Medical Ninjutsu, brutal Taijutsu, and straight-up Uchiha’s Sharingan, Sarada Uchiha is going to be HUGE with time.
16. Hanabi Hyuga
Another cutie that grew up in the era of Naruto, Hanabi is the younger sister of Hinata. Well, I can start a debate on how she’s more beautiful and bigger (yes, bigger in a lot of sizes) than Hinata, this list is focused on how strong she is. Being the youngest daughter of the Hyuga clan, she has the most room to improve in her family. Even when Hinata and Hanabi were just kids, their sparring showed what Hanabi was capable of at such a young age.
Moreover, being the best sister anyone could have, Hanabi has a strength that we just can’t ignore. She was proficient in Taijutsu at a rather young age. She even defeated Hinata in a sparring session when they were both young. While we don’t see a lot from Hanabi now, we can easily speculate that her powers are way beyond what everyone thinks about her.
Moreover, as rare as Byakugan comes, she is one of the strongest Byakugan users for now. Even Toner from the Otsutsuki clan commended Hanabi’s beauty and her Byakugan. Moreover, with the Byakugan, Hanabi can easily see Chakra and weak points, making her one of the most powerful Boruto characters of all time.
15. Konohamaru
First thing’s first. I SHIP KONOHAMARU AND HANABI! At first, he was shown to be an ambitious little guy that no one could control. But with time, Konohamaru was the only character whose powers can be compared to Naruto to some extent. Like the ability to grow like Naruto, Konohamaru hasn’t stopped in any way at all.
Konohamaru’s idol is Naruto. And at some point, Naruto trained the guy. Being one of the strongest in Boruto, Konohamaru has consistently been proving to be one of the best. At this point in the Anime, Konohamaru is a Jonin and leading the team of Boruto and the other kids. He’s an excellent teacher of Ninjutsu and guiding the kids to become the best version of themselves.
Yet, when it comes to his abilities, Konohamaru doesn’t leave any stones unturned. From Rasengan to summoning Jutsu, Konohamaru has a unique style to him.
14. Mitsuki (SAGE MODE)
Once again, what would you expect from Orochimaru’s child? Well, not quite as Orochimaru did countless experiments to make one unique Mitsuki. However, Mitsuki has been part of the problem in the Boruto series for quite some time. At first, he had no control over his emotions, and he has always been considering Boruto as his sun. Right off the bat, Mitsuki is easily stronger than most students in Konoha.
It was said by Kakashi in the Genin exam that he’s surely the strongest Genin. However, things got to a whole other level when Mitsuki discovered the SAGE MODE. It was such a game-changer that ever the strongest Boruto characters are afraid of what Mitsuki is capable of.
If I were to rank Mitsuki, I would say that he can easily fight against some of the strongest Jonin out there. Well, all in all, he has the potential to become a strong one very shortly. Let’s just wait for the future, fellas!
Being a user of Senjutsu, he can use Sage Transformation at his will. Hence, he is considered to be the strongest Genin out there. Such an intimidating chakra with snakes all around his body, Mitsuki is easily one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
13. Boruto
Shouldn’t Boruto be the strongest Boruto character? Well, not quite. Not for now! But we can conclude that Boruto is quite a strong and competitive character in the series. While he doesn’t know most of his abilities, Boruto has been consistently improving while training under Uchiha Sasuke.
Even though Boruto is a pretty inconsistent fighter where we just can predict where he will rank. Being the son of Naruto, he inherited the will of fire. And he’s the character on which the series is based on. So, without any question, he has the unlimited potential to become the best one out there.
In other words, Boruto is a prodigy as he’s the mixed one. From the Hyuga and Uzumaki clan, what do you expect from our strong fella here? He’s just a genius who uses the power of Ōtsutsuki and constantly surprises everyone with it. However, it is confirmed that Boruto will be able to use Senjutsu very shortly.
Boruto is strong, handsome, young, and one of the strongest characters in his series.
12. Kawaki
This is more like an honorable mention here. We just got to see Kawaki making his debut in the series. He is also known as the vessel to Isshiki Otsutsuki, who is going to be one of the main antagonists in the upcoming episodes. However, why did I even put Kawaki above Boruto if he’s not even that strong at that time?
Well, as we got to know from episode one that Kawaki is going to kill Naruto, we can easily see how strong of a whole Kawaki has one of his powers. Moreover, he has perfected his abilities and is still improving with the recent debut in Anime.
Almost everyone knows that he’s going to be the main antagonist sooner or later, and when we talk about his abilities, this guy is one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time. As harsh as he seems, Kawaki is known to be one of the most popular Anime villains even though we haven’t even seen him in actual Anime.

11. Kurotsuchi (Fourth Tsuchikage)
The hottest Kunoichi from Iwagakure, Kurotsuchi is the granddaughter of the previous Tsuchikage. Now she’s the third Tsuchikage and when it comes to her strength, it’s as real as it gets. With time Kurostcuchi didn’t only get stronger but hotter too. She’s a calm ninja with an attitude that fits well to become one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time. Well, not quite because of what her abilities have to offer.
Kurotsuchi’s battle experience just leads ahead of what other Boruto characters have to offer to us. She’s a powerful young lady who demands the best for her village, making her one of the strongest with no questions asked. Even in the Naruto series, Kurotsuchi fought with a hundred thousand Zetsu who was considered a potential villain at some point in the series.
The main reason for her being the strongest is that she can use fire, water, and earth techniques that give her an edge over most ninjas out there. Moreover, Kurotsuchi is quite capable in combat as well. And if you got right into her trap, only God can save you. That’s why she’s probably amongst the strongest Kunoichis ever.
10. Darui (Fifth Raikage)
Even since we were introduced to Darui in the Naruto series, he left a deep impact on all the viewers. The impact can also be called “BADASS!!!” With such a huge fan following, Darui had something that everyone was in love with. That’s his character. Remaining calm and composed while not losing himself, Darui is one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
But why even? Because this guy is just a hot mess. He’s the perfect example of “your daughter calls me daddy too,” and when it comes to his strength, Darui has never disappointed the fans out there. Currently, he is the fifth Raikage, and I have to say that he deserves every spot. Moreover, when he became the Raikage, he’s only shown an essence of his badassness and how powerful Darui can become when stacked against the odds.
His main powers are his extreme speed with the lightning style that always protects him from all sorts of troubles. Moreover, his taijutsu skills are on par with what Naruto and Sasuke were at the time Madara was introduced.
All in all, Darui has everything it takes to be one of the best leaders and powerful characters in the Boruto series.
9. Kakashi (Without Sharingan)
Kakashi? At the bottom of the list? Well, before you flip out on me, just hear me out. I can already see that you guys are mad with me. However, just listen to me for a moment, will ya? There was a time Kakashi was one of the best. Well, especially after receiving the Mangekyo Sharingan from Obito, he has been slaying ever since that time.
Probably the first non-Uchiha to handle such pain and agony that his best friend let him live with. Moreover, Kakashi got even more powerful after he got an instant boost in Madara’s arc. However, in Boruto, as Kakashi has lost the Sharingan, he’s practically stuck with his abilities. But that doesn’t mean he took a big tool. However, all the lavish Uchiha abilities are just gone now.
Now, Kakashi is a great leader with someone who can still shake up a whole war. However, if you ask me if he’s just continually growing, it’s a big no. Kakashi stopped growing because he’s surely getting old. And, he’s also not receiving a bunch of fights in the first place. Hence, all these twisted points are what make Kakashi one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
8. Sakura (Byakugo)
We are going to talk about SAKURA!!! Yes! Sakura. Your favorite trash. I’m just kidding. But it is what it is. No matter how much you hate this girlie, she’s a savage when it comes to her abilities. In the Boruto manga, Sakura is now the strongest Ninja to ever exist. If you want to fight me with that, I’m right here! Well, ever since she arrived in the Anime series, Sakura has been hated for being the most useless character of all time.
However, that’s not true. Sakura had great character development throughout the series. Moreover, training under Tsunade, I can say that Sakura has far exceeded what Tsunade was able to do at her age. With that raw power and awesome medical ninjutsu, Sakura is one of the strongest characters in the Boruto series of all time.
Now, she’s known as Sakura Uchiha. And I think that’s beautiful. Being one of the strongest Jonin of Konoha, she has the physical power of a beast. In other words, Sakura is going to be the ideal Tsunade ever (not talking about sizes here)
7. Rock Lee
There’s just something about Rock Lee that I’ve always loved. From his hard work to the ability to never lose himself no matter how much this world kicks him down, Rock Lee is just crazy. He was born with no talent for Ninjutsu. I can easily see how most people will give up at that point. However, through sheer hard work and under the guidance of Might Guy, Rock Lee was able to push his body to the limits to become one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
Moreover, through all these years of training, Rock Lee has become a beast when it comes to Taijutsu. You just can’t match his speed and once he gets all serious, Rock Lee would just slay.
And most of all, right when Rock Lee was just 20, he was able to open a total of seven gates out of eight. Can you even see what sort of an achievement that is? Moreover, aside from the gates when it comes to Rock Lee’s speed, endurance, and attacking rate, it’s unreal. He reaches the students at Konoha, and it’s obvious why he’s one of the strongest ever in Boruto,
6. Gaara
Being the Fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure, you just can’t take this guy for granted. After Gaara was defeated by Naruto at such a young age, he got to learn a lot of things. Even since that time, Gaara has changed in a pretty good way, having lost everything in his life, Gaara was just piling up hatred in his heart. However, of course, he has changed ever since he met Naruto in the past cause TALK NO JUTSU!
But when we talk about Gaara’s abilities in the Boruto series, he has improved a lot over the years. Gaara can easily match any character and give a fatal fight. In the recent Boruto series, Gaara has helped everyone against the antagonist who goes by the name of Momoshiki.
I gotta say that with no questions asked, Gaara is one of the strongest characters in Boruto due to what he has to offer. From impenetrable defense to fatal attacking abilities, his sand manipulation abilities are crazy.
5. Toneri
The direct descendent of Hamura, Toneri is leagues ahead of other Boruto characters. Moreover, he’s one of the only survivors of the Otsutsuki clan that is residing on the moon. Well, there’s a catch to Toneri’s story too. When he was born, his eyes were sealed. Hence, he learned everything but sensing and not seeing. That’s the power Toneri had when he was introduced at first.
Moreover, as shown in the series, after he gets Hanabi’s eyes, he gets to a whole other level, dominating each character that tries to come against him. Toneri can read minds, absorb chakra, and even deliver messages using a green orb he has. Moreover, after getting the Byakugan, he got a huge upgrade and it matured into the Tenseigan.
Tenseigan is why Toneri is one of the strongest characters in the Boruto series too. The power to pull the whole moon towards himself? NO PROBLEM! Moreover, with the Tenseigan chakra mode, Toneri was able to go head to head with Naruto who was probably in his prime at that time.
4. Sasuke Uchiha
Probably one of the only Uchiha to ever survive, Sasuke Uchiha is the favorite character of most Boruto fans. I mean, c’mon. BORUTO himself adores Sasuke more than his father. Also, Sasuke was the one who trained Boruto, so there’s that. Initially, Sasuke just wanted revenge. However, now that it’s all cool, he’s repenting for his sins by protecting Konoha in every possible way.
Being one of the strongest ninjas to ever exist, Sasuke Uchiha has surprised us with the skills he possesses. From Sharingan to Mangekyo Sharingan, and then Rinnegan, he’s going crazy with what he can offer. Ever since Sasuke received the Rinnegan, he has reached an intimidating level of power. Moreover, even after losing one of his arms, Sasuke is still going strong, and anyone who’d come in his way will only suffer from the worst, making him one of the strongest Boruto characters of all time.
3. Momoshiki
There’s a lot of debate whether Momoshiki is weaker than Sasuke or not. However, what I can easily see is the fact that Momoshiki was handling everyone including the five Kages and Sasuke. Hence, Momoshiki could easily solo anyone at this time in the series.
Having the ability to absorb any attack that comes in his way, Momoshiki has an irreplaceable power. And honestly, after absorbing his own partner Kinshiki, Momoshiki became one of the strongest Boruto characters easily.
Using all those five elements, Momoshiki is just a beast that needs to stop!
2. Naruto
Another debate time! Naruto vs Momoshiki? A lot of people would say that Momoshiki solo’d Naruto in their fight. However, first thing’s first, Naruto was at his 50% after his chakra got absorbed by Momoshiki himself. Moreover, with his 100% power and saneness, Naruto would’ve easily been able to fight Momoshiki and destroy him in that fight.
Well, amidst all this confusion, no one knew what the hell was happening. But Naruto was the only one who was able to grasp the situation and was pulled in by Momoshiki. Hence, being the 9 tails Jinchuriki and one of the strongest Hokages of all time, Naruto takes the list by force! Sorry Boruto, maybe next time.
1. Urashiki Otsutsuki
One of the Boruto characters whom everyone hates, Urashiki is just on a whole other level. While we don’t know what he’s quite capable of in the series, for a fact, indeed, Urashiki hasn’t defeated him whatsoever. Moreover, with the six tomoe Rinnegan, Urashiki has an ability that we haven’t seen in the whole Naruto series either. He can wrap time and space, and traveling through time and space is not a problem for this dude.
Moreover, Urashiki can also go into the past for several seconds, and it’s something we have never seen! Throughout the series, Urashiki has been proven to be the strongest Boruto character of all time.

So let’s dissect every ability of these characters and rank them. Putting an end to this ever-going debate once and for all. 15. Lamvanein Lamvanei is a typical neighbor from Aftokrator, he has two goat-like pointy horns on his head. He’s a carefree individual who likes to laugh but becomes arrogant and proud when in battle. Although being so self-centered he admits defeat and praises a strong opponent. His trion receptors allow him to use strong triggers for prolonged periods which can make or break any fight. He isn’t the type to charge straight into the enemy, he believes in waiting till the right moment. He makes the opponent believe that he is defenseless less and if they fall in his trap they get obliterated. He’s a master tactician and wins due to his strategies. 14. Hyuse Hyuse was left alone on the earth after the neighbor’s invasion, he wants to go back home, for this he agrees to join the Border. As he is a neighbor, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a B-rank. Although he’s helping the humans now, he still can’t hear anything ill about his fellow neighbors. From a very young age, he showed promise and his battle prowess gave him a chance to join Hairein’s away mission. He has an exceptional amount of trion which allows him to take on multiple opponents at the same time without breaking a sweat. He is extremely skilled in combat and has one of the best vision in anime. All this combined made Hyuse a force to be reckoned with. 13. Soya Kazama Kazama is the type of guy who doesn’t mess around and tries to reach the core of the matter as fast as possible. Due to this, he doesn’t like to talk too much or talk only if needed, he is a reserved person and doesn’t like to socialize that often either. Despite his anti-social personality on the battlefield he trusts his comrades more than anyone, most of his attacks are team attacks. He is an A-rank and the leader of the Kazama unit. He often likes to depend on the strategies in which a minimum amount of raw force would be required. He will most often hit and run or use stealth moves to gain the upper hand. This strategy works in combination with his comrades. In addition to this, he is also the #2 attacker and #3 solo fighter. 12. Shuji Miwa Suji is a quiet person, he doesn’t talk very often and always has a serious expression on his face. No one on the border hates neighbors more than him, this eternal hatred spawned from the fact that his beloved sister was killed due to these invaders. When he found out that Yuga was a neighbor he shot him without thinking twice. He is an all-rounder and currently the leader of the Miwa unit. As the captain of the A-rank unit, he has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders which would’ve been troublesome if he hadn’t had any good leadership skills. He is great at what he does, a combination of various attack styles, this causes his opponents to be afraid of him as he can attack from any range that he wants. 11. Kyosuke Karasuma Kyosuke is a pretty chill individual most of the ties, but when it comes to battle he becomes super-charged and focused on the fight. He is an A-rank from the Tamakoma branch. Kyosuke is an all-rounder which is rare on the Border. Due to him being an all-rounder he can attack from any range putting his opponents in trouble as they cant decide what tactic to use against him. He doesn’t let his emotions dictate the flow of the fight and manages to stay level-headed all the time. His versatile skills make him a great asset to have in any team, as he can defend and attack if need be. Kyousuke was once seen using the attack trigger in conjunction with Geist, he killed a rabbit on his own that day. 10. Kirie Konami Coming up next on the list is one of the most loved characters in the anime: Kirie Konami. She belongs to the Kizaki unit which operates under the Tamakoma Branch, her role is that of an attacker, and she’s good at it. She might come off as really arrogant and self-centered to some, but she has a pure heart and can do anything for her comrades. She’s extremely fast and some say her speed is equivalent to that of the neighbors. She’s so strong that she’s considered to be as effective as an entire unit. Earning her a spot on this list. 9. Reiji Kizaki Reiji is what you call a perfect all-rounder, he is extremely skilled and can use multiple types of triggers. Be it a snipper or a shooter, Kizaki can easily handle it. He’s the captain of the Kizaki unit which is regarded as the strongest unit on the Border. As a person he is very strict when it comes to fighting, he has been seen scolding Chika on multiple occasions due to her bad skills. But he is a very calm and composed individual, who’ll make sure your team survives every time. He is an all-rounder who leads the strongest unit on the entire Border. He is a ridiculously powerful black trigger user, he can obliterate entire cities if he wishes to.
